Tom at Keller is a real piece of work when you get on the wrong side of him. If everything goes good he's your best friend. But as soon as something doesn't go his way he gets very ugly, threatening and hostile. He treated my rental house for roaches and I paid him $240. But left his glasses there and had to go back to get them. Next thing I knew he was no longer a pest guy but wanting to fix a couple small things like a small leak in hot water tank, caulking a seam in the bath area and a clogged drain in a sink. Next, he was fixing windows in the garage. He had 2 Home Depot runs of $103 and $108 and I paid him on CashApp. He was going to get me copies of the receipts but after 3 attempts never got them. I still have no idea what he ordered. He made a couple of trips over there was over there maybe 4 or 5 hours. It was getting into concerning area for me because my crew had completed the project and was ready for a Section 8 inspection. Anyway, the next morning his tone changed and his texts were combative. He couldn't do the leaks and I needed to get a plumber...No problem. If you can't do plumbing, no problem I have lots of guys. He had his bad knee acting back up and wasn't going to finish any more of the issues on his list and going to go to the house to collect his tools. No problem. Then he sent me his demand. He never bid anything and didn't give me any hourly rate. He demanded almost $900 for hardly anything actually addressed. So, I just wanted to get him out of the way so I requested a filled out W9 since it was over the $600 IRS limit. This is when he became a complete loonie tune. He went off and for 4 hours texted me constantly with demands, threats, and hostilities. He's still texting and I had to block him. I do everything by the book and all my sub contractors provide me a w9 as the law requires. But not him. As soon as he sends me the W9 he can get paid. He lowered his demand to $300 but after I paid that he was still going to file a case against me. So he's not paid and I've agreed to have a judge in a court room decide who pays what. The story is much wilder than this review but I had to hit the highlights. My crew went over and had to fix his horrible workmanship and install a security system because of his threats to sabatoge my house. His roach treatment has failed and he owes me the $240 I paid him for that, in my eyes. If you don't need to have him fill out a W9 and you have a set amount agreed upon, you might not have any problems. But I have seen both sides of Tom Clarke at Keller Pest Control and you do not need what I went through. read more

Imagine you are out one spring day eating cereal on your steps and it sorta looks like it starts to snow... but only in one area in your garden. What you got there is a termite swarm. It's a very emotional situation... especially when it's a weekend and nobody is even in the office at any of the places you call besides Terminex and they know they got you... and they call you every hour of the day to see when they can start the treatment for THREE DAYS! I put in about 10 calls and had only about five guys (including the pushy Terminex guy) bother to come out to my place. Most measured the square footage and gave me a price quote. Some didn't even come inside the house. Tom (the owner of this company) actually crawled under my stairs with a flashlight and nearly got stuck in all the junk that I store there. He also crawled under the steps I was sitting on outside (I had moved from that location by then). He thoroughly examined my property: checked the walls, the corners, the garage, even the concrete patio. When it was time for the quote, he told me where he would treat, how it would be done and how much it would cost. His price was one of the lower bids that I received and he struck me as a genuine person. I knew I had my bug guy. I didn't actually have any damage to my house, but with a nest this close I would be crazy not to treat the property. I maintain a warranty with this company that includes an annual inspection. Tom is personable and reliable. He even remembered me a year later when I called him to schedule an inspection. He does all sorts of bug and pest control... I highly recommend him. read more

I never share experiences, but this one was too good to pass up. I had, what I felt like was bees swarming around my house and getting into my house on a Saturday afternoon, and after spending over an hour and a half trying to find someone to come out and look at the problem with no help, I finally got Tom on the phone and he was so patient and helpful in my panicked state. He came out, SAME DAY, even though it was outside normal business hours, to make sure the bees weren't a threat to my family, that my house was treated, and I felt good about the condition of my house. He checked my attic, my fireplace and even the basement. I am going to sign up for the annual plan because I KNOW that I will be getting extremely high quality work! If you want a man in a uniform that will show up between the hours of 8 - 5 with a checklist of things to do and a bundle of goods to sell off of a script. Tom is not your guy. If you are looking for a mouse whisperer that can find the hideouts of unsavory creatures and if you can perhaps deal with the occasional McGyver approach to putting something together and a preternatural energy that may occasionally manifest itself in the desire to chop down a tree or do a bathroom remodel on the spot, then Tom is your guy. Tom is a real person that loves his craft and thrives in it. He knows how to eradicate mice in a short amount of time. Tom did a great job for me at two separate residences/rental properties. We needed to trap a raccoon who was camping out on one of the home's roof which was successful. In the second home we had a squirrel entering the attic. Tom not only "squirrel proofed" the attic and shored up entry points along the roof line, but also installed insulation where it was bare which I didn't even know about. Based on positive reviews on Internet, we decided to choose Keller to treat our house for termite. Huge mistake! The whole thing turned out to be a nightmare. The guy (Tom Clarke) seems nice and friendly. We had good impressions at first. He showed up hours late, which we didn't make big deals out of it. Sometimes people are running late. But he worked carelessly, and ended up damaging our property! At the spot, he kept assuring us that he is going to take of of it and make it right to us. He said give him a copy of receipt and he is going to turn it to his insurance company. Once he knew the total cost, his attitude changed completely. Now he was a totally different person!! First he claimed that it is not covered by his insurance. Then he tried to find all sorts of excuse, made up lies, and finally blamed it on us! Can you imagine that? Not only did he refuse to reimburse our cost, he called us at 9:30pm to argue that it was not his fault. It is bad enough that we got our property damaged, but it is even worse to deal with him to try to get it resolved.Might have to take him to court. By the way, check the court website. Did a great job! Tom took a couple of days to make it to our house, but was totally worth the wait. He will always be my first call for pest problems. We had a mouse in our house for a few weeks. His team worked very hard and tore the place apart in a good way. Very thorough. They checked the basement, garage and attic. No stone was left unturned and he found the mouse entry point.
