I had been to a doctor who "thought" he knew how to heal leaky gut, but it continued to get worse over 10+ years until my IBS and leaky gut sent me to the ER. At that point I started going to a Naturalpath, as it was obvious I was not on the right path. She ran many many tests at a lot of $$ since neither she, nor the tests, were covered by insurance. The tests gave me a lot of great information and I was able to continue with the supplements she had recommended. It helped immensely that one tests identified 5 major food sentivities and removing them from my diet help alot. But a couple years after that, my gut got really bad again and I was always in pain, exhausted and sick. I had 4 friend who had been seeing Dr Varon and at their recommendation I finally made an appointment with him. His healing protocol for my leaky gut, the cause of my belly pain works. It isn't cheap, but it is way cheaper than getting cancer and digestive cancers run very strongly on both sides of my family. Again I am feeling much better and evey time I have another followup with Dr Varon he makes a change in my morning shake which makes my feel a little better still. The only thing I can figure on why he has so many bad reviews are due to preconceived expectations. Just because another doctor, or your own research shows other supplements may help, they are not generally part of a full protocol for healing. If you see him, are open to what he says, respect his knowledge and ask questions at the end of your appointment you will find healing without big pharma and a wonderful doctor. If you just want surgery and/or pharmaceuticals, he is not the doctor for you. It's obvious in our society that many people don't want to do the work, they just want a quick fix that doesn't inconvenience them, but that doesn't generate health

Saeed Zamani and his staff provided first class medical expertise and service. Our relationship with Dr. Zamani started with a pre-procedure consultation during which he outlined the whole process from start to finish using concise and understandable language and he patiently answered all of our questions and addressed all of our concerns. On the day of the procedure, his entire staff exhibited tremendous efficiency and expertise; from the check-in process, during the preparation process to the post-procedure and discharge phases. Here are few reasons why we were so impressed with Dr. Zamani, his staff and his facilities: 1) strong patient orientation - we were treated with respect throughout every phase of the procedure - all aspects of the procedure were explained clearly and all of our questions were answered with patience and thoroughness; 2) high level of patient engagement - we received a phone call from the anesthesiologist (Dr. Melissa Ennen) the evening before the procedure to review how the anesthesia would be handled and if we had any questions or concerns. Dr. Ennen also provided extremely personal care on the day of the procedure. The nursing staff and technicians were also extremely caring and made the entire experience as effortless as possible; 3) extremely organized and efficient - Dr. Zamani's administrative staff was a pleasure to work with - they handled all of our insurance requirements and pre-procedure instruction communications with acumen; 4) high quality facilities - Dr. Zamani's offices in the Shadelands were first class in terms of cleanliness and ambience; 5) high level of medical expertise - Dr. Zamani's extensive experience was evident in terms of his explanations and his post-procedure review of his findings. All in all, we can highly recommend Dr. Zamani and the Center For Gastrointestinal Disorders without hesitation.

My husband and I both met with Dr. Zamani, me for the second time in 10 years and my husband for the first time. He was warm, funny and efficient. He made him so comfortable and told us all we needed to know. The facility where we had our colonoscopy procedures was remarkable from start to finish. First, how many times do you wait and wait? Not here, even early. I apologize to the first nurse, as we should not have forgotten her name, but, we have. She was warm and friendly making us both comfortable...warm blankets . Then we met Dr. Leung...our anesthesiologist. Don't let his youth fool you, he was kind and straightforward, even calling us the night before asking us if we had questions or concerns and explained what would happen, he repeated these steps when we met. They use a mild sedative..new so you don't know what happens and 20 minutes later, you are awake and Judy shows up in recovery. Again..staff was wonderful. Again we r sorry as we can't recall the name of our intake nurse who we liked, the following day they followed up on us and we were told the discharge to call a number if we had any problems. The only negative is the prep..oh well....

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Cogburn to follow up on lab results at OneMedical. The lack…read moreof professionalism and knowledge he had of his practice were a complete letdown. His communication throughout was unclear and unfriendly, and he ended up reassuring me false information. It actually ended as a huge waste of my time as I needed multiple additional follow ups to correct his errors. I required an injection. Dr. Cogburn informed me that he was not able to do this because the phlebotomist was already gone, and that I needed to have come in earlier. That was disappointing. After this, he was texting for a few minutes, and he walks out of the room for what seems like a phone call. He comes back and says that he can actually administer the injection and brought the syringe and medicine. He begins to prep. Then he continues to type and text more, without communicating. Then finally he makes the decision that he can't administer the injection because he doesn't know what needle size to use. His lack of knowledge was concerning, but the whole experience also came off as unprofessional. Dr. Cogburn tells me the next steps would be just to go into any OneMedical office for a lab visit, and the phlebotomist can administer it without an appointment. I double confirmed with him the hours and locations I can go to and confirmed that I didn't need an appointment. He gets up to walk out, and I get up to follow because it seems like we were done. He asks me to stay seated for a moment. About five minutes go by with more typing and texting. He looks up asks if I have any questions (which he already asked) and lets me go. Fast forward to the next day. I walk into the OneMedical office the next day. The receptionist sees no record of the injection request. After some research by the med team, the phlebotomist sits me down and tells that what I was told was inaccurate. The injection needs to be administered by a provider, and she was not licensed to do it. Not only that, the location I was at did not even have the supplies in stock. The phlebotomist was caring, understanding, and communicated well, and was the one highlight of this experience. However, I ended up having to make another appointment. Overall, the quality of care was disappointing at best. I don't expect my doctor to know everything, but he or she should clearly communicate the things they don't know or are unsure of. Dr Cogburn's inability to do so caused a lot of headache on my end and required additional time off work. I've had better experiences with other providers at OneMedical, but also I've found the care at OneMedical overall to be worse than average. Definitely do your homework before meeting with any of the doctors.

He was extremely pretentious and treated me like a drug addict. Never mind that I was asked to be seen before a refill and never mind that I had never been on a long acting opiate prior to the previous One Medical provider taking me off of other pain medications to put me on ONE pain med instead of a series of overlapping drugs. He spent the entire appointment acting as though I were begging him. Then offered me a small prescription (which I declined because I believe in their right to refuse plus I didn't like the way he was treating me). I felt very profiled and disregarded. I let him know that I was offended and he said "well you're going to be in pain... given your Fibromyalgia and other auto-immune diseases. What's your pain level when you wake up? Well then WE (as though he's the one who wakes up and lives with this everyday) should shoot for that!" He then offered me a different muscle relaxer to take instead of the one I am taking interim to this failed appointment. My advice: avoid him. He's awful. His bedside manner is awful. He's an a**hole. One Medical is NOT cheap so don't waste your hard earned money. I was so upset that I was almost in tears. I will be calling One Medical tomorrow to have the cost of the appointment voided and/or cancel my membership depending on their response. I have no intent on paying to be insulted.

During my visit, I felt dismissed, and the chart included information I did not provide. That is unacceptable in any medical setting. I had a very disappointing experience with this physician. During my appointment, I felt completely unheard. I tried to explain my symptoms and concerns, but I was repeatedly interrupted and dismissed before I could fully describe what was going on. It felt rushed and impersonal. What concerns me most is that when I later reviewed the visit notes, there were statements documented that I never said and very misleading. The notes included symptoms I did not report and omitted key concerns I clearly expressed. Accurate documentation is a basic and critical part of medical care, and seeing incorrect information in my chart was both frustrating and alarming. Good healthcare starts with listening. Unfortunately, I did not feel respected, taken seriously, or accurately represented. I hope this feedback encourages more attentive, patient-centered care in the future.
