He was sincere and he had his crew come and replace all my gutters with new ones. They were neat and Jamie was onsite. Leaf guards were not put back on. The very next day we had heavy rain. i had no wet rugs this time. it was clearly defective gutters/ leaf guards. I do have a ruined rug that will need to be replaced and now no leaf guards. Jamie did offer to help with the leaf removal in the fall. Jaime is a hard working person who went the extra mime to make this right. I do appreciate it, however it should have been this way from the start.

I hired Dan many years ago and then never called again as I was not comfortable with his demeanor…read more My usual sprinkler person was unavailable so I called Dan to have my sprinkler lines blown out before the frost. Dan said if I paid in cash or check he wouldn't charge me tax. I deleted the text he sent so I called his office. The woman there confirmed $85. I mailed a check to his office and then I got the following text: "Got ur ck, check my text when u asked me how much, what dose it say $85 PLUS TAX" My response: "I don't save texts. I thought you said if I paid with check then you don't charge tax?? I may have heard incorrectly but that was my understanding... Also, I don't think there is any need for the condescending tone of your current text". His response: "Where's done don't call me anymore" --- his grammatical and spelling errors, not mine--- Ummmm? What??! I placed the onus on me, said I'd send the tax and then remarked about the tone of the text being unnecessary. Based upon his response I guess my first impression years ago was correct. Not a very customer friendly demeanor. I do not recommend D&T

I got a complete new driveway, front porch and walkway done and could not be happier with the job they did. Everyone who showed up were professionals and did their work quickly and efficiently over a four visit project spanning almost two months. After breaking up and removing the old asphalt, a base layer was put down and then had to settle for 4-6 weeks. In the meantime, we add brick pave edging and had the whole porch done in one long day. FYI, asphalt projects are dicy and depend to a great deal on the weather and tends to throw off the companies schedule. The work tended to drag a bit, but they stayed in touch and when ready, came and did the job to my complete satisfaction. I've worked with lots of companies in the area and Fifth Ave is a top notch firm.

The owner agreed to come by to look at it and was unwilling to hear any of the concerns. He offered to put more sealant on the driveway for an additional fee (over $150) after saying it looked like there was too much sealer on the driveway to begin with. How is this a resolution? They installed our driveway 6 years ago and have been the only company to touch it since. Very disappointed to say the least.

I ordered a cord of wood. Paid in cash as they expect. That's fine. They delivered a little more than half a cord and refused to deliver the rest. despite it already being paid for. When they dropped the firewood, I told the driver it didn't look like a full cord. He insisted it was. When I stacked it, it was quite clear it was slightly more than a half cord. I called, was asked to send pics and measurements. I did. it was clear. Chris's response? I've been in business 35 years I don't make mistakes. And he's yelling. Because that's what you do to a dissatisfied customer. You yell . And you dont correct your error. You hang up on the customer. And in later convos he denies his earlier statements. Gaslighting. And yelling. Over a half a cord of wood. Cheating a customer for $130. Over his mistake. Class act. (Insert eye roll here) Avoid this guy. His ego makes him difficult to work with.
