We have been in the pool for several months since completion and I wanted to thank the KZP team for addressing things. No real big issues and the pool has been a added pleasure for sure. However there are some updates minor things that have occurred since we have been swimming: 1. A pipe cracked after the cold weather and even included the actual pipe for connecting the hoses to it. (Replaced entire components free of charge since having the LLSP coverage/1year warranty-highly recommend!!! 2. The vacuum was not suctioning well-replaced connection and took out extra weights for water tube for vacuum (last week) 3. Pool light flickering-came out to fix right away 4. Assisted with calcium build up-told me what to buy and showed me what to do 5. Check the auto fill due to overfilling-came right out to fix The only negative I have is when doing the quarterly LLSP I haven't seen a report for quality of items, chemicals added, updates on what they've done. However, the last visit with the female and male personnel (last week) were outstanding and was showing me everything in addition to addressing concerns. I appreciated them doing this and hope they get made aware that they did a great job! Overall experience with KZP has been great! No complaints and don't regret any decisions made by going with this company...true to word every step of the way! Yes, may not be cheaper than others but please review the "quality and warranties" when reviewing the contracts. Definitely do some research prior to signing, learn which equipment is one versus another, structuring of the pool (pipe installed) etc. Understand the reputations of companies, Ie, Houzz app, BBB, google reviews etc. We plan to renew warranty as we have had several things happened and want to be covered as we have experienced great service for getting items addressed and can only imagine the cost if not covered. read more

These guys are supposed to be the best in San Antonio? Not even close! I had an appointment for today and they did Not show up during the assigned time slot. I called to see what time they were coming out to the house and was told next week. The appointment had been pushed out. Asked why nobody called to tell me this? No response whatsoever. . It took about 10 plus service calls to finally figure out what was wrong with the electrical operating system. It turned out to be bare wire, in plain sight, to fix the problem. The weekly cleaning service has been subpar since last summer. There hasn't been one month that we've not had an issue with our cleaning, mind you that we pay $300 a month for. Whether it be no call no show, 3 minute "cleanings" where they don't even test the water, finding metal bristles from their brushes lodge in our feet from the bottom of the hot tub- the list goes on. For $300 I absolutely should not be having to call every week to ensure that we are on the schedule and that we will receive service, yet here I am with a green pool covered in algee because our regular route was missed last week due to vehicle issues. And even when you do call/ email the response you get is always with an attitude. We will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

When they finally came out to fix it last week, we were assured it would be done the day of and cleaned the next day. We were left with an empty hot tub and unusable pool for the weekend of our POOL party. They came out to finish this week and it's taken multiple days while half the crew sits in the truck. Pool is five years old and deck is falling apart. Will cost 5 figures to replace. We were originally sold the tile as an upgrade. No one advised that this tile could potentially have these issues. I've called multiple times to try to have someone come out and advise as what's the best repair, next steps etc. No one calls me back. Not even the manager I last spoke to. We have used their pool service as well since we had the pool put in. Takes weeks to get anyone out to fix anything. Terrible service. This company does not care. I've had good and bad experiences w Zars. This one was much less than good. One one hand, they can fix a lot of issues that other companies can't seem to handle. On the other, they are expensive and do not accept much in the way of critique. Our house has a Zars-built pool that was completed in 2018. About 2 yrs ago the first of 4 lights stopped working (seems early for a failure, esp since original homeowner never used the lights). I tried to find other people to replace it and was not successful. Zars gave me a quote and I felt it was too expensive to proceed. Flash forward to a few weeks ago. We were having a kids birthday party. Functioning lights were needed, and now none of the 4 lights were operational. I called Zars. They came out, gave me an estimate, and said they would change out the lights within 2-3 days. The party was in 1 week from the day of the estimate. They ended up coming the day of the party and after spending several hours, told me that they had fixed 3 of the 4 lights. The last light was stuck and they needed help removing and replacing it. The party occurred, but they left debris and screws on the bottom of the pool, which fortunately, party guests saw and alerted me so I could jump in and remove them. Our Polaris then ran over the debris they left in the pool and stopped working. Eventually, Zars came back and over the course of about 3 days, finally fixed all the lights, about 10 days after their first attempt. The next thing I know, my credit card is charged double the amount of the estimate. As it turned out, the quote I received initially was for parts only and did not include labor, though I was not told this initially. I then called Zars and was told that it took 11 hrs to take care of these lights and usually it's a 7 hr job. I therefore asked that I only be charged for 7 hrs plus the cost of Polaris repair. The supervisor said he would charge me for 9 hrs because it was a tough job (no acknowledgement of the fact that their company installed the lights to begin with) and they would not reimburse me for repair of the Polaris (they said I should have brought it in to them). Needless to say, I believe I have been overcharged, especially since one of the repair people told us that the work could have been completed much more quickly had the initial person who tried to remove the stubborn light, known how to do it, but that person did not know how to troubleshoot it. read more

This is an abbreviated review; I have three pages of notes from this fiasco. Our experience with Keith Zars Pools was frustrating, drawn out, and plagued by poor communication, scheduling failures, and administrative incompetence. We attended an open house and scheduled a consultation with the renovations salesman. We clearly stated that we wanted to replace the entire pool deck with concrete and pointed out minor plaster issues. The salesman recommended full replastering due to the age of the pool; we found out later that we could have just patched those areas as the underlying plaster was still sound. The salesman also confirmed the entire deck would be replaced. He also said it would only take two weeks to complete the job; other quotes gave similar time frames. Once we signed the contract, communication ceased for six months--until we emailed them for an update. The project finally started in December, but from the beginning, nothing went as promised. * Multiple pricing errors - The original contract was misquoted by $2,000 due to an error in their calculations, meaning we owed more than expected; we could have forced the original contract but decided to play nice and accepted the revision. On top of that, they later tried to charge us an additional $1,250 for a drain replacement that we never requested. * Deck replacement confusion - The salesman claimed to not know that we wanted full deck replacement; he claimed we had only requested a small section and tried to charge us $5,500 more to complete the job. After escalating to leadership, it was reduced to $2,000--but in my opinion they should have ate the cost, as the mistake was on their end. * No proactive updates - We had to call or email constantly to get any updates. Otherwise, we wouldn't even know when crews were coming. * Unannounced arrivals - Work crews often showed up without warning, blocking our driveway or starting work without notice. * Missed deadlines - We were promised completion before the New Year. Instead, it took 14 weeks instead of 2. * KZ falsely told the water delivery company that our pool was 18,000 gallons when it is actually just under 14,000 gallons--despite the fact that KZ built the pool and has the original plans. It's possible the coordinator was looking at the wrong paperwork, but that's still inexcusable for a company that built the pool. * The site supervisor never provided updates unless I explicitly tracked him down. Crew members used our property as a restroom despite other available options; our roofers brought a porta-potty when they worked and there is a public toilet a short walk away. * When the concrete deck was finally poured, workers were forced to finish in the dark with only a cell phone flashlight because, apparently, KZ didn't schedule things properly. This project caused significant stress for both of us. Due to constant delays and mismanagement, my military service-related anxiety disorder was severely aggravated. I lost weight, my sleep schedule was disrupted for months, and I even experienced two full-blown anxiety attacks from dealing with the company. The only positive experience was the final technician who adjusted the pool's chemistry and ensured the pump system was working correctly. He was thorough, professional, and took the time to answer all our questions. If the rest of the project had been handled like this, we wouldn't be leaving a negative review. Final Verdict - Avoid Keith Zars Pools The only reason we chose KZ is because they built the pool and figured they knew what they were doing; that was obviously an incorrect assumption. This company lacks accountability, scheduling oversight, and basic customer service. The office staff does not appear to coordinate activities. Absolutely horrible customer service. The build was great and the pool is beautiful (so beautiful in fact they used it for several years in their social media marketing), but now that we need follow-up to help with some issues we're having, they have gone completely dark. We have made multiple online requests and left numerous messages over the last couple of months asking for help with stains on the interior walls and scale accumulating around the coping. They are completely ignoring us. Since it was built, the pool has been maintained weekly by their service department and has been under full warranty with them (LSPP) during the same timeframe. It has become obvious that both the maintenance plan and the warranty are a complete waste of money because it seems the pool has not been maintained properly and the prepaid warranty is worthless because no one will ever call back so we can utilize the terms of the warranty. (Please note, this level of non-customer service has been the norm for at least the past four years. Trying to get anything fixed, no matter how minor, requires no less than three written and/or verbal requests over weeks and sometimes months.) read more

He informed us on when and what was being done each day. He sent us pictures and videos of the progress (we weren't living in the house at the time of construction). He was very meticulous and kind with all of our crazy wants and picky needs. He went over and beyond with helping us get this dream pool! Any last minute details we wanted with our backyard (landscaping, adding an extra step to the grotto, etc.) he did it for us! Keith Zars is such a ripoff! You pay for a name and that name doesn't mean anything anymore. Pool supposedly has a 10 year warranty on hardscapes...but only if you pay them $1700+ per year. I begin this review with the preface that I really don't know anything about pools, was very busy, and just relied to heavily on the company. Big mistake. If you are going to put in a pool or have one totally refurbished, set aside a lot of time, educate yourself, and work it like a full time job. The pool that I had was getting old, was a salt water pool, so there was a lot of erosion and I was needing to do a total redo of the pool. I requested that the pool have all new rock work, all new plaster, and all new equipment. In addition, I wanted to convert it to a chorine pool. The advice that I would give to a unknowledgeable rookie is: 1. Do your homework, educate yourself, and do not trust the company to be helpful or informative. 2. Understand that they will not take responsibility for anything, such as: -I have learned that empty pools will most likely experience movement once they are empty, in addition, demo of the old pool might also cause issues to the existing plumbing that moves the water to and from the pool equipment. So even if there were no leaks before the construction, most likely you will have leaks after the pool refurbishment and they do not fix them. You will have to spend over a $1000 to get a company to locate the leak and then you will have to spend over $1000, much more most likely, to have the leak fixed and then that company will not restore your decking, that will be an additional cost. -This pool company had a leak in the spa that resulted in flooding my basement several times. The took no responsibility for this, the empty spa experienced cracking of the new plaster and they did repair that. -Deadlines mean nothing to them. It will be one excuse after another. This company was several months past the latest date they had given me for completion. This was after, at my expense and at their request I arranged for them to have early access to the pool. This did nothing to help them finish anywhere remotely on time. This pool is at an Airbnb, so it cost me bookings and money. -I requested that the refurbishment match the existing pool. There is a beach entry that was fully rocked, when the workers were re-rocking the pool entry, they only did half, I had missed this on the quote, it should have been full, because I asked for it to look just like the old pool. They did get the workers to do the whole beach entry in rock, I did pay more. The rock work does look good. -The plaster job is terrible, it has rust spots on the bottom, and dark blue spots that range in size from a quarter to a fist size. It looks very bad. After the plaster was done, the pool was filled and the water was very dirty. I had to pay a very large cleaning bill to have it cleaned properly. The new tile at the water line has a film on it that appeared when the pool was left very dirty. They do not worry about leaving it clean and neat. That is your problem and it will cost. And the new tile looks old and dirty. I will have to spend more to clean it. -On the contract they did include replacing one piece of equipment, but they were refusing to plumb it it. It took time and effort for me to find out that they should indeed plumb it in and after quite a bit of back and forth, I think one employee just took care of it. It did get plumbed in by them, but it should not have even been a discussion, much less and argument. -This company will not ensure that things are neat and running properly. They just leave. Like I said above, they left it filthy. In addition, there were jets in the spa, in particular, that were not functioning properly, potentially, ended up with some construction debris in them. This caused the water flow to not be as it should, most likely caused my spa heater to overheat. I had to replace it at around $6000. I am also getting the jets repaired. I don't know the cost on that. I have tried to think of everything, but I am sure that I have forgotten something as the refurbishment occurred a year ago. Mainly, I would like to just give you some heads up on issues and expenses that you will incur that they will not tell you about, so it was just one big, expensive surprise after another and no one takes any responsibility for anything, it will all be on you. If I were you, I wouldn't put a pool in and just go with an above ground or go to a public pool, but if you need something to do and have a lot of money to spend, put in a pool, it will fill your time and take your money. Need to write two separate reviews 1. The pool is well built . The pros: they stood by the work after it was found they destroyed my sewer connection. Engineered to last decades. 2. The cons: due to that sewer problem, I spent over $5000 with initial plumbing attempts and rehabilitating my landscape. The decking is cracked due to poor communication. They also have what I consider to be an unprincipled attempt to push all liability for any pool malfunction off on the consumer with their anything-but-education 2 hour recitation of things if done incorrectly, voids your pool warranty. Bad business for the consumer About their service 3. Small issue ( did I mention the pool is beautifully built?) my Polaris didn't work. Tech came out ( cost $148 okay ) reset the circuit breaker and replaced the backup valve $160 ( $100 or less part everywhere else) this fixed some of the issue however the Polaris still wasn't effective. Called, was told it would be covered ( 90 days) was told I would be charged was told it was fixed ... about a month later I finally showed a picture of the hose leak... wasted time , insulted and insulting response ( after asking the cost of the part he asked if I wanted it done...no o want to boat over $300 for a non functional outcome) Love this pool Adore the company From a operational POV , zars has a pretty challenging issue with communication between the functional areas and with your customers I would still choose zars to build your pool read more

Update: It is now March 2022 and I still have not received a call or work order for masonry to come take a look. Every year I lose more stone around the pool. Some pieces are so thin I'm afraid to touch. read more

I have been requesting repairs for the past 6 months on their pool that is 2 years old. No Service. The phone staff is very nice and keep telling me that someone will "get back with me". Keith Zars builds a good pool, and our designer, Kent Ely was excellent. However, the rest of the company leaves a lot to be desired. There were typical hiccups during construction, but I let that go because those things are never perfect. However, I would highly recommend you not use them for maintenance or service because that is where their quality stops. After completing my pool I had a weekly cleaning service with them. They never came on a consistent day or time and would not advise in advance when they were going to be there. Instead they would randomly show up on any day or time. They wouldn't notify in advance, even after asking repeatedly. I fired them after the last time they showed up and my dog was in the yard and the tech yelled at him and tried hitting him with the metal pole. My dog is a yellow lab. He doesn't bite anyone. He will bark at you. He doesn't deserve to be hit with a metal pole because you showed up unannounced on his property. After I fired them, I changed my gate code so they couldn't randomly show up again. I called them and explained why (after previously calling many times to ask for advance notice). I have an annual warranty with them and they come to do an inspection a couple times a year. Even though I am on record asking them to call in advance, once again, they never do. They show up randomly and ask to be let in. After being MIA for nearly a year, they showed up randomly 3x right before and during the recent freeze, hoping they would find something broken from the freeze that they wouldn't cover I'm sure. And instead of understanding and apologizing when you repeatedly explain to them you need to be called in advance, they act as if they are doing you some favor by even showing up as part of their contract I am paying for. After explaining this on two separate attempts last week, I was agitated when I called and explained to Chris today (third time). And instead of taking ownership of the issue he just said they didn't make any notes from the last two calls and that his department can't see the notes from the maintenance team. Maybe when you have been around as long as Zars and have a reputation for building decent pools, the rest of the service experience doesn't matter. It's really a shame. read more

Keith Zars has been around for a very long time. Most of the negative reviews are for things they cannot control, like "they took two months to replace my LED lights", but that was due to supply chain issues. We have had very nice success with them, but like any company, sometimes there are issues, but they are always responsive and attentive. We have had their LSPP warranty, and nearly every electronic or serviceable component has been replaced under it, from the pool heater to the pump, Polaris, LED lights, UV system, etc. They have been great to work with, and I would trust them to handle ANY issue, including a new plaster job we have scheduled for next summer. I know people can be demanding and short-tempered, but why try to crucify a good company because they couldn't do the work on your timeline? It's like chastising Amazon when UPS delivers your 1-day package 2 days late! We've had great success and expect a very long-term relationship, and given my experience with our pool firms in both Boston and Orange County, CA, Keith Zars is a Godsend! read more

We put in our Keith Zars pool about 8 years ago. I have had 5 different homes with pools / 3 we built the pool / and would say KZ product has been superior and any service or parts needs taken care of. I have never rated them before, but with pool purchases up thought I would share my experience. After doing a complete feature/benefit bid tabulation to get all the pool bids on an even basis I found KZ the best investment for my pool. I'm glad I did. The pool design n equipment has been the easiest pool I have ever maintained in over 30 years of owning pools. I've used KZ for some repairs n found them knowledgeable n having any needed parts though not the cheapest As an 8 year KZ pool owner, I have no issues recommending KZ for new pool construction n aftermarket support read more

We moved in 2019 to this house and the pool was installed in 2015 so the pool is about seven years old. We have noticed rusted areas forming over two cracks at the rear of the pool for several months and after several non-returned phone calls, they finally answered and explained that they would not cover it because it is out of warranty. I totally understand it being out of warranty, but this is clearly a manufacturer defect. So the only answer is to not ever buy one of their pools because they cannot guarantee the installation in the first place. This is on them and they are unwilling to touch it. A seven year old pool with their seal on it should not be doing this. read more

This has been the absolute worst experience and company that I have ever dealt with. We signed a contract in November of 2020. We were told by Wes Richter 6-8 weeks for completion with excavation starting in January. The stakeout didn't even happen until January and we were then told excavation would happen the beginning of March. Communication is horrible and so at the beginning of March we reached out only to be told, they wouldn't begin until June with an 8-10 week completion time (in writing). We didn't take this as the final answer and so construction began on 15 March. Since that date, we have had nothing but issues. The sheer radius descents which were supposedly ordered in February never came in, so to move the project along we agreed to straight descents. They plastered at the end of 14 weeks only because I posted a negative review on social media. We are now at the end of 17 weeks...it will be 18 weeks on 19 July...and we are still not complete. We have mounds of dirt and stepping stones left to be installed. We have been dealing with this for 8 months. We were told in writing at the beginning of the week it would be done today. Shocker...it's not complete! The subcontractors they hired destroyed our front planter only to "fix" it...I use that word loosely. They will tell you they do not use subs, however, this is inaccurate. The "cleanup" crew moved rebar into the lawn which demolished the lawn mower blades to add to the heartache. Maybe the only way to get service with KZ Pools is to be on the Pool Kings, but you are looking at one very dissatisfied customer. We have had to police crews. I pick up trash every day after they leave. We have had to have work redone because of poor craftsmanship. They will tell you a lot of things, but most of which are not true. I have elevated my concerns and here I sit with an unfinished project and a lot of capital out the door. Poor customer service, poor communication, and subpar company. Choose someone else. We have friends who used a smaller company. Four months from contract to completion! Learn from our mistakes!! read more

We bought a home in December and the previous owner contracted Keith zars to move some pipes that were encroaching on the neighbor's home. Needless to say the work was supposed to be done in 3 days it took 3 weeks. There were many issues but the three worst situations were the following... They left a dirt mound and didn't dig the trench correctly we had to call them back several times to accomplish this and the superintendent Vic was very unprofessional and really didn't give a s*** about customer service. The second thing is they burnt the two motors that run the pool we didn't find this out until the day we closed when Vic came over tried to turn him on and realize that the workers that had changed the plumbing had burnt the motors needless to say they covered the replacement and we're supposed to cover the cost since it was done by their workers but they had the nerve to send me the bill January 8th to which I contacted them and they assured me that it was a mistake. Number three I just found out today that the suction pump that runs the robot was damaged during the initial work. When I hired a professional pool builder to come and inspect everything they told me that they had try to hide their error by shutting off the breakers, needless to say I had to replace that today out of my own pocket but I'm lucky that I have found someone that actually cares about the maintenance of a pool and the repairs. Keith zars pools is the worst, most unprofessional piece of garbage company I have the nightmare of dealing with. I don't normally waste my time leaving negative comments as my time is very valuable but I'm doing this to save those of you who are considering using these creatures in the future. I'm very happy with the individual that I found who actually builds pools for a living have been doing it for 40 years, maintains them and does an excellent job. I'm going to keep this gem to myself. Week 5 I'm taking a slightly different to posting reviews, instead of just appending the original review, I'm posting by week/stage. Pushing in to week five now, the rough-in plumbing looks to be pretty well done and re-bar crew is about half-way through putting up the shell for the spa and waterfall. We got hit by a rain storm that blocked access for a couple of days, so weather delay... KZP scheduling has started providing some guidance on when the crews will be showing up. The change order came through on the switch from stone veneer to stucco, and it was, as always, easy to work with the sales/design group. Tip of the hat to you guys on that! Overall I'm satisfied with the progress made last week, the site is clean, work is progressing and it looks like we may still hit the 10 week or less mark if this pace keeps up. read more

After months of looking for a good pool builder and being patient with each one given the restraints of Covid we decided to call Keith Zars. I Explained to the secretary the frustration we have experienced and she assured me I would be happy with my designer. Our designer came out and was friendly but never contacted us about our pool drafts after a few months of waiting. I text and had no response finally I thought I would give him another call and text. Tony finally texted back and said he would have our drafts of our new pool ready next week. Well next week came and went! After just one year, the ozone broke, the pump leaked, the concrete around pool cracked & a large portion of the coating on the pool fell off. The staff response is slow to delay until warranty expires. I would not choose this pool company. read more

We haven't been happy. Our pool is 20 years old and there has always been a lifetime service contract on it that we pay over a $1000 a year for. I understand that the virus and the weather this year has them backed up. But I keep being told someone is coming tomorrow so, I have stayed home each time and then they don't come. Today I was told my repair is actually a floating ticket and they have no idea when. Finally today they agreed to send someone out in five more days. So basically it's going to be three weeks for them to even look at the pool. Our pump is dead and our pool is green yet we pay for them to maintain and repair our pool Two months ago we were forced to buy a new heater for $4500 because it was leaking. Equipment repairs should be included in our contract. I didn't argue with them about the replacement. In hind sight I should have because of the freeze this past winter would have damaged the copper fittings. They claimed the heater problem was our fault because the chemicals were out of balance and they had been counseling me every time they came out about that. No one ever told me the chemicals were off that much and I made sure twice a week they were in the normal range on the dip sticks I have been using. Mind you last summer we had one of their people maintaining the pool weekly and at the end of the summer he loaded the pool with chlorine and said that should keep it nice until spring. He was usually rude when he was here, complained about how he was treated in his job, and told me all the things he didn't like about my yard so we started taking care of the pool again ourselves. Ok, all that said, the new heater has never worked right. The display says, "No Flow". It isn't getting enough water through it and now our pump isn't working. I would venture to guess they missed the failing pump during two different preventative service visits since the winter. Now they tell me it will be Friday before someone comes out to look at the pump and the rotting pool. So basically two months for the heater, three weeks to just look at the pump plus whatever the time lag will be to put in a new pump. The staff used to be pleasant to deal with on the phone but lately they have been snippy, rude and haven't even tried to listen to the problem. I get it's been a rough year but the least they can do is be pleasant and explain the delays. I can say that Steve the guy that figures out if you have to pay for equipment or if they do, was very nice and seemed honest about the repair responsibility. He genuinely tried to help us get the heater replaced and while he is very much "the money guy", I was comfortable dealing with him. This company is supposed to be the best there is. As a new build, I am guessing that they do build a superior product, as our pool is still in very good condition. When you have a contract with them for the life of the pool if you replace anything, or do anything that you can as an owner that is simple, they threaten to cancel the contract. I live in a wheelchair and the pool is the thing that means the most to me, and now we are basically trapped by them. I can't have anyone else look at the problem but I also can't get them out to look at the problem. In the meantime I can't get any of pain relief the water provides. We hope to sell this house in the near future so I don't have a desire to cancel this lifetime service plan as it is a selling feature. However, using Zar's for repair issues, general service, or other problems is probably not a smartest thing a person can do and while I might have them build a new pool because of the quality I would not consider going with this service plan again. read more

I had a designer send me a video of a beautiful pool in my back yard with a price tag of over $100+k. Of course it was beautiful! However, I didn't get any measurements of the pool and decking to really justify the price. So I called him and he quickly rattled off some measurements that I was rapidly trying to jot down because I didn't understand what measured what. BTW, the pool he designed was much larger than I wanted and wasn't sure it was going to fit in my back yard. So I gave him a price point that was flexible and asked if he could tweak the design (make pool smaller) to get it to that price point. Now, a month later and I have not heard back from him. The bottom line is Keith Zars Pools is not interested in building pools less than $100+k. Don't waste your time and energy like I did. read more

We bought a Keith Zars pool 10 years ago mainly because of their great reputation for maintenance. The pool is well built, and we have had few problems with it. The service department was always very quick to respond. Up until about 2 years ago I would have given them 5 stars. They deserved the reputation they had for great customer service. What used to take 2-3 days for a service response now runs 3 weeks or more. The service request form on their website does not acknowledge or confirm receipt so you have to assume they received it. My last request they did not. No one calls you to confirm or gives you any estimate of time when they will provide service. You're kind of just hanging out there hoping someone will show up. My last request took 4 weeks for them to respond. After 2 weeks of not hearing from anyone, I complained to a salesman trying to sell a pool to a friend. That's when I found out my request thru their website for service either did not go thru or they did not add it to their list. They finally showed up after 4 weeks but they had also mailed me my annual maintenance renewal for $1400 which, of course, they want paid timely. Some of my requests have been to just drop off or mail what I needed, but no luck. They ignore the request. I've also been on their list for weekly maintenance for a year. Still waiting to hear from someone on that. If you're thinking of buying a Keith Zars Pool and they try to sell you on their great service...don't believe it! It's not good anymore. I think the problem is they are building many more pools than they have people to service them, both service techs and office staff, and won't correct the problem. They know they can't take care of their long time customers but continue building as many pools as possible creating more customers to disappoint. So, if the maintenance is part of your decision making, do not be deceived by anything the salesman tells you; expect long waits, and do not go thru their website for service.
