When our roof experienced storm damage about 2 years ago, we requested references from our local…read morecommunity. More than one person recommended "Dependable" and we opted to select them to complete the work. The first problem was they underestimated the amount of shingles and time to complete our roof. They handled that by getting more shingles, and in their rush they continued to work into the dark hammering shingles. Initially, I was impressed with them trying to get the job done promptly, but ultimately that lead to problems. Within weeks the shingles started to slide off the roof--that's not good. They would come back, fix a section, then more would slide off. This going on since the roof was installed and it was progressively getting worse. I gave them one final opportunity to repair the roof and now just a few weeks later more shingles are slipping off the roof. Here's a summary of what they did wrong: 1. The shingles are architectural and have a close tolerance on the nailing location. If not nailed properly it causes the shingles to slip. 2. By installing the shingles improperly, that voids the warranty with the shingle manufacturer. The roof is essentially worthless now. 3. They misrepresented the repair could be made vs a replacement. By not replacing the roof we are now with an out of warranty roof per the manufacturer. I have photos of our problem that will be posted as well. It is very disappointing as we had hoped that a local roofer would have been more "dependable" and know how to properly install a roof.

He looked it over very thoroughly and provided an estimate that was extremely reasonable. He was able to get our claim successfully shepherded through insurance on the first try because he knows what they are looking for. His workers came through and did the job in a single day based on our schedule. They cleaned up so well I was only able to find a single roofing nail after scouring around the entire house. It was such a great experience that I have recommended Pat to several friends and neighbors who have also used Dependable Roofing and been extremely satisfied with their work. Call Pat. You will not regret it.

I just wanted to give a huge shout out to Comfort Control Heating and Air. I have been using them…read morefor a while now and felt I needed to point out a few above and beyond services I have experienced. First, the technicians are always so nice, very knowledgeable and never make me feel like they are trying to sell me a service or equipment I don't really need. I have been a Realtor for almost 15 years and have dealt with many vendors in the HVAC industry. Some have been good, some have been not so good. With Comfort Control, I have had techs here late at night, on weekends (Sunday too) and have never had to wait long for service. I always feel like they are honest and do what needs to be done at a fair price. That is very important to me. Second, I have referred them to a few of my clients and I have never had any of them express anything except complete satisfaction. Definitely not the norm but a satisfying reaction for me since I sent them:-) I had a client who had her air stop working in one of the hottest days of the year. She was watching her 10 week old grandson and was panicked. She texted me and I gave her their number. Later that day she called me to thank me for the referral and they got someone out there pretty quickly who was able to fix the problem at a reasonable cost (on a weekend) She continues to use them when needed and for maintenance. Time and time again I get thank you messages from people and clients who I have sent to them. They meet with several companies and end up truly feel most comfortable with them. So with that kind of track record and my personal positive experiences, I felt the need to share. So many people are willing to take the time to write bad reviews about companies. I wanted to take the time to share my positive experiences and say thank you to Comfort Control for stellar service!

The diagnostic fee of $95 is about $20 higher than in the Atlanta metro area (my recent experience with my home there) but Shawn had to travel a bit to get to me. Overall, a good experience.

Hired Aaron Miesell in December 2025 for a gas log installation. They claimed to be licensed and…read moretrained. He inserted a log that was too large for the fireplace. He tried to hide this mistake by sneaking parts of the gas log into his truck. When I compared it to the photo of what was ordered, and that parts were missing, he claimed that those parts were still in the truck, and brought them back into my house. He lit it, and it was like a blow tourch, he did not install a gas regulator valve, which is needed because I have a high-pressure gas meter from the gas company. He quoted this regulator, but forget to bring one. He tried to convince me to just use the gas valve to reduce the pressure, but I refused to accept shoddy work. He had to go to Home Depot to buy the part. This required him to redo the entire installation. Once completed, he told me not to turn on the fireplace for 48 hours so that the pipe dope would cure. I was looking at the manual and asked him about the remote. He did not know how to make it work, and claimed that it was broken. I also asked him why the pilot light sounded like a blow touch. He said that a different sized orifice is needed, and that he will need to come back and change it. He would do that when he replaces the remote. He scheduled a return visit in 3 days, and wanted to be paid in full before he left. I paid him over $5,000 in cash. He did not show up for the appointment. He rescheduled for the following Saturday. He did not show up for that appointment either. To this day, he has not replied to phone calls or text messages. To make matters worst, fearful of the blow-touch sound coming from the pilot light, I turned off the fireplace from the fireplace valve. The house quickly filled with the smell of gas. I turned off the gas from the gas valve that led to the regulator. I called his office and told the receptionist, who quickly declined to accept any responsibility that he would help me. I text him, and still no answer. I scheduled an emergency service with the local HVAC company. They arrived to find that the gas line was only hand tight coming from the regullator. The pipe threads were stripped, and there was an excessive amount of pipe dope in an attempt to seal a leak with it. He had to remove all of the gas pipe, and reinstall the gas logs as if it was a new installation. He also took extreme care to adjust the pilot light, which was labor intensive. He stated that the gas leak was severe enough that it could have blown up the house, as gas was hear hissing from the pipe, and was partly the reason why the fireplace was burning so irradically. I am contemplate legal action. This company was report to the local code enforcement agency to have their license revoked. This company could have killed my family, and they probably knew it. The company is owned by Aaron Miesell. He will probably change the name of the company once he gets sued for gross negligence, its is harder to change his name. Beware, he does not care.
