We are first-time homeowners and discovered that the townhouse we moved into had all original equipment, with the HVAC system almost at the end of its life. We got many quotes and Puckett Heating & Air gave us truly competitive pricing. Before scheduling our appointment for the system swap, our A/C crapped out and Steven came out and discovered the problem quickly and helped us get back on. Even with everything working again, we knew it was a matter of time before the whole thing fully died, so we bit the bullet and scheduled our service appointment. Steven came with Scott and they worked very hard to finish our system. The whole thing took about 10 hours, likely due to the terrible original wiring (which we were informed about by another HVAC technician, who came in the winter when our heat was barely keeping our home in the mid-60s). JEFF NEWMAN AND HOLTKAMP SAVE THE DAY!!!…read more Yesterday @ 5 PM I called Holtkamp to let them know that the A/C was not working at the rental property that I manage, I was told the technician was currently in route to Loganville, but would get to me by 9 P.M. At 7 P.M. I received a call from Jeff Newman, he was leaving Loganville and was heading my way, he pulled in the driveway at 7:30. I knew it was the capacitor because Matt Hubbard had mentioned that the part was failing but still working when he did the summer service in May. Jeff replaced the capacitor, checked the amperage and the unit was blowing cold air by 8 P.M. I highly doubt any other company could have pulled off this 3 hour turn around from hot and humid to blowing cold air! The repair cost was extremely fair, the service was excellent and the peace of mind priceless! This was my first time meeting Jeff, but I will request him in the future, he's a great guy who went above and beyond and saved the night. Trust me, you don't appreciate A/C until you ain't got it. After inspection he explained all findings, it was not my AC unit but a blown circuit. He tested my breaker box for me and advised that the breaker appeared to be blown. No repairs to unit were needed, it cost me the price of the evaluation that was previously communicated. I changed the breaker out myself and the AC unit worked perfectly. These guys responded to my initial request quickly and on time, they didn't try to up sell me anything, and provided all the needed information I needed to make the repair. If my unit does have a problem these will be the guys for me.
