He sells good quality products at a good price. They hold regular classes to teach you the basics or more complicated aspects of brewing. There's also equipment for making wine, spirits, and hard ciders here too! It's not just beer. They're prepared for the extract brewer to the full grain brewer, and everyone in between. They'll sell you the ingredients and all the equipment you need to get started brewing. They'll even fill your carbon dioxide tanks for kegging! I'm just a little disappointed because the quality of the food has noticeably changed. They stopped seasoning the fries like they used to. They don't put as much vinaigrette and removed the pomegranate seeds from the Brussels sprouts. I just feel like the regular menu items don't taste as great quality as they used to. The ambiance, beers and service are still good, but I don't find myself craving the food like I used to. I wonder why the food has changed.

Which is pretty frequently. They also brew there on site so you can see stuff in action. Fun hobby and I feel good supporting this place because it's locally owned. The place is a true tribute to the Special Forces community, with the De Oppresso Liber flag hanging overhead, a POW/MIA flag, a wall of Longtab cans with names straight out of SF history, and a powerful portrait of Medal of Honor recipient MSG Roy Benavidez. As a retired fire service officer, I could feel the respect for service in every corner of the room. I started with the Quiet Professional IPA, and it lived up to its name. It poured a clean amber with a nice head and was smooth and easy to drink without being overly bitter. I paired it with the brat on a pretzel bun, topped with sauerkraut and mustard, with a side of sea salt and pepper chips. The brat was juicy, the pretzel bun held up perfectly, and the kraut and mustard were the right balance. The chips were crisp and well seasoned. Simple, hearty, and exactly what you want with a good IPA. I closed out the night with the Hearts and Minds Peach Ale, and it was a standout. Peach on the nose and definitely in the taste, with a bright, smooth finish. You can actually feel the peach fuzz at the end! A perfect last beer of the night. Friendly staff, great beer, solid food, and a place with real heart. I'll be back next time I'm in San Antonio.

Let be the first to say, I do not like the taste of beer nor hard cider that tastes like beer. Fortunately for this cider, the alcohol content is low and uses Texas grown apples. It is interesting to note, Texas Keeper Cider is also sold in some HEB stores. When you arrive it looks that the quintessential Texas farm...lots of shade trees, vegetation and a gravely country road leading up to the cidery. The Texas Keeper Cider placard hangs near the road reminding you of a saloon sign. Then you next encounter a visually appealing green fern looking gate. Interestingly, there are empty barrels in the yard along with outdoor tables and chairs (also inside table and chairs). The cidery also host special events such a weddings and birthdays. According to Reese and Ben, my cider sampling team, the cidery used to be a house and opened in 2012ish. Inside you are enamored by the amount cedar on the walls and ceiling...quite visually striking. Now for the cider...Texas Keeper Cider is there number selling cider. I sampled Texas Keeper Cider, a Rose infused and White wine infused cider. Thus, I bought a bottle of the Grafter Blanc to take home due to its palate pleasing and refreshing taste. The Texas Cider Keeper cidery is a pleasant area to spend time and enjoy the great outdoors while sipping on some amazing cider.
