Best Internet Find Ever! A month before Christmas I had the genius thought of remaking a costume jewelry set, recast in real yellow gold, as a gift for my mother. There are two well-known jewelry retailers that my family has done projects with in the past but neither one could accommodate the tight timeframe. Two weeks before Christmas when truthfully I was already emotionally divested -- just for the hell of it-- I tried an internet search and stumbled upon Boston-based Keezing Kreations. Also of concern was the overall project cost and as previously mentioned we were able to agree on a price which she honored. Debbie is just amazing! My husband and I bought my engagement ring and weddings bands from Debbie back in 2001. When I wanted to have them have a "face lift" I knew it only made sense to go back to the store that we had such a great initial experience with. Debra at Keezing Kreations designed an incredibly beautiful diamond halo ring for my 30th wedding anniversary. It was important to me to retain the original diamond - but had not a clue what to do with it. Debra was very kind in reviewing with me various styles to help me shape the design idea. She provided suggestions but truly listened to my responses keeping the design tailored to my taste. She sketched out a design based on our conversation and it was the one! This was confirmed by the fact that she could use the stones and platinum from my ring to produce this beautiful design. The pricing was reasonable and substantially less than a retail jeweler. Debra checked in a few times as the ring was being made and made sure any slight but needed modifications would be acceptable to me. When it was finished around Christmastime she offered to deliver it to me in time for the Holiday. When I saw the ring for the first time I was amazed at how beautiful it is! Keezing Kreations was up for a challenge: My partner and I walked into the Jewelers Building which can be quite intimidating if it is your first time looking at engagement rings. After having been criticized at a few other shops in the building for wanting something a bit different than the "standard" ring we stopped into Keezing Kreations. I told Debra that I was looking for a dark grey diamond as a center stone, which I knew would be a difficult find. She initially found some light greys in a few different hues. They were a bit too light for me, but then she went out and found some amazing Montana Sapphires in lavender and grey hues and a few Salt and Pepper Diamonds. When we were working on what the setting might look like for one of the stones she was very helpful, showing me a few options and which x would work well with y. Debra is a very straight forward and transparent person. She will tell you what is and isn't possible, what will be best for longevity of the stone and ring. I had met Deb's father back in 1981 when he had the back of an Omega watch engraved for me and he won't take my money but only wished me a Happy Marriage. I never had the pleasure of meeting Debbie until September of 2017. It was a birthday present for my twin boys who were 21 on September 13th. We had picked out Celtic Crosses with the Claddagh in front but there was no place to do any engraving. Debbie matched the gold with round charms that she had soldered to the back of the cross. She sent them down to her friend for the perfect engraving. She also picked out two very nice gold chains. All of this was done in a very short amount of time with a perfect design. Not sure what I love more my ring or Debra! She is the most patience women I know. Not only does she listen, hear and understand your concerns, she truly loves what she does and it shows, she is an expert, master of jewelry. My engagement ring was boring and needed to be resized so, instead of just resizing.... she recreated my Bostonian setting (three stone ring) of 16 years into a beautiful Halo Masterpiece that I love! I happened to stumble upon Debra's quaint jewelry store while looking for wedding band. Debra listened to everything I was looking for, and she and her jeweler created a unique design custom made band for me. She did it within 2 weeks and the finished product was even more beautiful than I was thinking! Her jeweler is highly skilled. The prices are very fair and she helps work with your budget. I love wearing my wedding band now with or without my engagement ring. I wanted to upsize my stone for my current engagement ring. I have a 3 stone engagement ring from one of the mall jewelry stores, one stone I lost because the prong broke. Debra was able to accommodate my request of keeping the original design of my engagement ring which incorporated a bow design and the 3 stones with a larger center stone. I received my ring in a timely manner, she even fixed my wedding band which lost a small diamond (milgrain design) without charging an additional fee. Just keep in mind that Debra is a jewelry designer and has someone else set the stone and someone else to make the ring. She also mentioned that the style of my current wedding band, the diamonds will fall out in the long run with its current setting and to pull the diamonds out before hand, when that time comes I would probably return to Deb to recreate a new wedding band that incorporates the old diamonds. read more
