About a year ago, I went to Keeping Time to get a new battery for my Concord watch. I come back in 20 mins and he said it will cost me $140. I said nope. I will give it to my jeweler. Gave it to my jeweler and I paid $10.00 for a battery!!! By the way my watch retails for $9,000. so I guess they wanted some extra money. I didn't do anything about it. Tonight my sister calls and she told me the same story. She had a Piaget $25,000. value and they said it was broken. The person she bought it from insisted it only needed a battery. Do not be fooled! This man is a liar and a crook! I took my in my $1500 Movado watch for battery replacement along with 3 other watches. He told me the Movado was still not working after the battery replacement and needed major work. I knew this watch had never had a problem so i was hesitant from the start. He wanted to charge me $85 for repair plus $13.50 for the battery. I took my watch back from him and took it else where for a 2nd opinion. Without telling the 2nd watch repair guy anything, he found out that the first "repair man" had placed a piece of metal in my watch to make it stop working so he can make extras money of me! Don't be fooled by this crook! Some people are so desperate to make a buck... They should be ashamed. I already paid $40 as it was for 3 battery changes. The service is efficient and friendly as well as super convenient (they are located in a kiosk in front of Banana Republic on the first floor of the Galleria). Their prices for battery replacement are comparable if not more affordable than other watch repairs. And they offer a one-year guarantee for the battery. Wow. I am shocked by all the negative feedback. I took my Tag watch here to change the battery and they did a good job. They then gave me a 2 year warranty for the battery. The price was good but not great. It was still better than spending $20 more at Ben Bridge Jewelry. I would give them 5 stars if they charged me the same as the previous posters. read more

This watch repair place are thieves. They will repair and will be honest with small jobs and low end watches and it was a BAD mistake, twice that I brought in my watch(es) for oyster bracelet adjustments. First mistake. Brought my Rolex seadweller to a Chinese man by the name of Kit and he asks me to browse around the mall and come back in 30 minutes. I went to retrieve my watch and everything looks ok since he put a couple of links in a tiny plastic ziplock bag. 3 months had passed and found out that he's gone. Brought in my Breitling for another bracelet adjustment and this time, it was a middle age Armenian guy who did it. Later did I find out that the original links, both the Rolex and Breitling has been replaced with an aftermarket when I had it serviced by an authorized dealer. Too bad, months had passed before I found out about their scam! A couple of high end watch links are about 2 hundred dollars. I had to give them a star of shame. The watches were bought on authorized watch dealers btw with complete set of papers. So there's no way that a couple of links will be fake. read more

I'm surprised that this place has so many positive reviews. I brought in a VERY expensive watch for a simple repair after reading the countless customer reviews. If you're interested in getting scammed and still having a broken watch, then Hayk is your guy! He charged me $350, which I was willing to pay considering the price of the watch, until I found out that he spent an eighth of whatever he charged me for to order a fake replacement piece only to have it fall off the next day. Do yourself a favor and take your watches elsewhere. You're better off paying double the price.. at least you'll know you got your moneys worth. read more

This store has now moved to a kiosk in front of Banana Republic. The watchmakers here are knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I had an old clock that would lose time and after replacing the battery and not fixing the issue, brought it here to have it fixed. I dropped it off with Kit, strolled around the mall for a bit and came back to a perfectly fixed clock and now I feel back on track! Kit even cleaned it out for me for no additional charge! I liked this place so much came back a week later to drop off a few watches that needed battery replacements. Did a little shopping and back in half and hour and they were done! Kit even set the time. Good service, affordable prices, convenient and knowledgeable staff. read more

I've gone here at least 5 times-- each time to replace old batteries. Some watches were expensive Michael Kors and others were cheap Casio's. Sometimes, the replacement took less than 2 minutes. At busier times, it has taken 20 minutes at most. I have zero complaints about this place. The cost for batteries varies based on the type used, but I've paid $6, $7, and $10. I have zero complaints. WORST WATCH STORE EVER!!! My husband took my Citizen watch there for repairs, it needed a replacement crystal on the face and stopped holding a charge. They took over 4 months to get the useless owner in to find out the status of my watch. My husband works at the Verizon next door and he went in every week asking where the watch was. Incompetent workers couldn't tell him what the status was, why it was taking so long, and when it would be finished. I finally told him to pick up the watch and for 4 weeks they kept telling him that the owner wasn't there and they didnt have access to the watch and they didnt know when the owner would finally decide to do some work and show up to the shop. DON'T EVER EVER TAKE YOUR WATCH HERE!! They're a rip off and have a really, really poor work ethic. Also, if they are this stupid and retarded when it comes to fixing a watch, i can't imagine how they treat people that are actually trying to buy a watch. By far the best experience I've had getting a watch repaired. So here's a little back story, I took my fiancés Michael kors watch to change the battery. Sound easy enough right? Until I finished and noticed the minute hand was hanging and was flopping all over the place and wouldn't move with the dial... I went to fast tick and the lady in there wasn't too nice to me and they quoted me about $50 and it has to stay there and the watch specialist has to do it.... ofcourse it's my fiancés watch I need to get it done today so she doesn't find out I messed it up... I started looking and found keeping time, it was a little hard to find because I was looking for a store but it's right outside of banana republic. A very nice guy greeted me his name was sako, I told him the issue and showed him and he said sure not a problem, he fixed it for me for muchhhhh cheaper than $50 and it was done on the spot by a professional. either keeping time places used batteries in my watch or, they fail to alert me to the fact that my watch requires a Swiss battery. i have purchased multiple batteries for my Swiss watch and the watch loses time after a couple days. i can only blame myself for returning to their kiosk after the second or third time but i figured i would give them one more chance at trying to not rip me off. never again. read more

Found this place walking through the mall. Spoke to owner's son on first visit to get a quote for three watches, was given a quote for the specific watches which I identified by watch maker. I asked if there was a discount for bringing my own batteries and he said yes and gave me the price ($5, $5, and $12 for two Nixon's and a Bulova because I had batteries for two nixons). I returned with the watches a week later and was told by the owner he would not honor the prices because the son was wrong to offer that price. He asked for $9, $9 and $12, and I agreed to have the batteries replaced. I returned after the time that he said it would take to replace the batteries and waited 10 minutes longer than the 20 minutes which estimated, not really an issue and understand there were other customers. I asked if I could use the yelp coupon for 10% off batteries and he dramatically rolled his eyes and said condescendingly "Don't be so cheap!" He promptly informed me quite rudely that the wrong batteries were provided and asked unnecessarily who told me those were the right batteries. Then he says the Bulova battery costs 15$ so I did a quick search and found the exact same battery at $7 for a 10 pack on Amazon and showed him while he was typing in the costs on his register. He slammed his hand on the register and said "do you want me to take it out?" I told him "you should tell your customers if the cost of a service you quoted changed so significantly before you bill them." He said "Sure but do you think I'm going to change it for free?!" I said "If I had known, I would've brought my own battery to which he said he would not charge for the battery then. I inspected the watches and there were scratches on all three of the watches' backsides which I know for a fact were not present previously. I did not bring this up as he was clearly already agitated and impatient. There was one to two customers waiting at most throughout the time I waited as he was performing the replacement or providing payment. In summary: pricing was reasonable despite the adjustment, service was terrible, and quality was poor. Would not recommend. read more

My wife and I had been customers for several years until today. We had purchased all our watch batteries and at least one watch there. They gave us a yellow card that states ten battery purchases entitles you to a free battery. They punch a hole in the card with each purchase. Today we presented our card with ten holes from ten battery purchases. First the clerk said all the holes were not punched. We showed her they were. Then she said they had given us a free battery when the tenth hole was punched. I asked why then would they have given me back the card? No response. The clerk and I asked the man who appeared to be the owner, who was listening to this, to intervene. Pointing to a row of small diagrams on top of the card, he said they also needed to be punched. My wife showed him where the print on the card stated ten holes entitled the customer to a battery. He made no coherent response other than to say that we would have to pay for a battery replacement. They not only lost us as customers, but they also saved us the cost of paying anyone else to replace our watch batteries: I went home and learned how to open the back of the watch and replace the battery myself. read more
