DO NOT USE FOR ELECTRIC WORK!
This "company" was recommended for electrical work on a shed I purchased. From the first time I spoke to Jonas, I made it known I needed a permit for the electrical work. I gave Jonas a deposit of $850. When Wake County asked for the electrical contractor number, I asked Jonas for his and he said he doesn't have one. HE'S NOT LICENSED TO PERFORM ELECTRICAL WORK! When I couldn't obtain the permit, I canceled the job. Jonas told me that he's performed plenty of electric work on sheds and never needed a permit and tried to tell me that I didn't need a permit for the job. I told him I would reach out to Wake County to confirm. Wake County stated that I needed a permit so I told him again that the job was canceled and I needed my deposit back. He said no, claiming that he had already bought the material and equipment and its not his fault I was going off of "misinformation" from Wake County. I had to file with the Attorney General (he never responded to them), go to small claims court (he lied to the judge saying that he was a licensed electrician then followed up with he's studying to be a licensed electrician.). He also claimed in court that he bought the materials and equipment and had the receipts but his wife threw away the receipts the week before the court date (eye roll). He lost the case and owes me my deposit plus court fees PLUS interest because he didn't pay in the allotted time. I filed a complaint with the NC State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors and they said he's not studying to be an electrician. read more
