They arrived on time, were very courteous, and obviously knowledgeable. Work started, and I was astounded at how much had to be done. Drywall came out, the old toilet was removed, the sink was gone, subfloor got ripped out. All work that I knew needed to be done, but I don't have the skill to do myself. New walls got installed, the ceiling was replaced, a new tub got put in. Not only did this work get done, but Jano would not rest until it was done right. I know a lot of handymen would have cut some corners to get the job done faster, but not Wake Handyman Services. Throughout all of this, Jano communicated every step of the way. He let us know what he was doing, why, he asked for our input before making design choices... I never had to question why something was happening or when it was going to get done. Well, that deadline passed forcing a second call. Again, apologies which prompted me to ask if Alem could manage to do the job on Saturday morning. Response: YES. Alem did show up a tad late but at this point I didn't care. He installed the window A/C and briefed me on basic operation noting that extra water drain plugs were provided and how to replace same. What a disaster. The one of the walls covers haft of the lightning fixtures. Now it's important to change out the bulbs. There was 2 feet on eight side of where the wall could have been placed. Ridiculous. In my opinion Handy Man Stan made do with the miscalculated amount of supplies he purchased for the job. Why you might ask,because the sheet rock did not met together nor to the existing walls, ceiling or floor. As a professional accurate measurements saves time and money. Do to this mishap Handy Man Stan tried to make do instead of being honest and requesting more money for materials or eating the difference in the quote he offered. A very simple mistake was made and now I'm writing this review. This works was commissioned and paid for this past August. It took far longer for Handy Man Stan to attempt the impossible. The delay was frustrating and has cost me more time and money to correct the poor craftsmanship. The buckling of the sheet rock tape do to not having good seams and the exaggerated amount of putty used to hide the imperfections took days to dry. Handy Man Stan was asked to come back to correct the issues. However, the damages were already made. There was little Handy Man Stan could do. The sanding down and reputtying and the additional days for it to dry further delays the project. Horrible job! Is the best that I can say. There was so many things that I wish my being present could have avoided. The damages to the carpet, Excessive holes in the wall where Handy Man Stan hung the mirrors, my goodness. What Handy man service can't hand a four post mirror! And it's not flat! You can most likely note that I'm terribly displeased and would not recommend Handy Man Stan. Called Paul, sent him pictures of the door - he knew exactly what was needed. Paul came removed the old rusted hardware. Not only that, but he also offered to install the closer for me! Then when we were outside, I showed him a damaged light, and he fixed that! No way could I have done all of that! Did all that extra stuff, and didnt ask for anything more.
