Our dogs absolutely love Leah, and we enjoy chatting with her every chance we can! We have so much trust in Leah to take care of our pups. It was a challenge when our last walker dropped us, but Leah quickly stepped in and put our minds at ease, speaking to her experiences and quickly getting along with our dogs. We have 2 very high energy pups that need to be watched closely, otherwise they will inevitably get into trouble. We've had cases of our pups getting away, and multiple scheduling issues with our last walker (NOT Leah :) ), but we have not once had an issue since Leah has taken over. With many dog walkers out there, and knowing how much people value their pets, we can not recommend Leah enough. She is super easy to work with, and most importantly, just someone you can trust!

PawsBarkPlay was recommended to me by someone who had a particularly difficult rescue dog. Leah took time to try and get to know the dog before she agreed to walk him and she refused to charge the owner (who paid her anyway) for the first few visits because even though she spent more time than normal at the house she wasn't able to get the dog to warm up to her enough to walk him the first couple times. When I heard this story I thought two things: 1. There's no way this person was actually that nice. 2. I have to get her to walk/ sit my dog (Birdy) To be honest, everything seemed strangely too good to be true. Down to the business cards which were nicer that any I've seen (including my own) and the fact that she was licensed and insured?? Like I said, I didn't think the dog walking business was that serious but she's got it all. The card even says that she's pet first aid & cpr certified (I forgot to ask for proof but I believe her). Anyway, when she showed up I found out that she had recently moved here from the south which explained everything, she has not yet been corrupted by our New England brash way of thinking. She was the sweetest person and took to Birdy immediately. I should say that Birdy is very well behaved and not at all aggressive but she's cautious about new people. Birdy ran to her like she was a long lost relative, I was shocked and a little jealous. Leah told me that she just recently started this business but you would never know. Her prices seem middle of the road for what I've seen out there ($25/30 min walk) but her service and level of care is beyond what I expected and make her prices seem cheap. I was surprised to see that she didn't have any reviews but I have a feeling that her clients are trying to keep her a secret like I thought about doing. As a Yelper, though, I felt obligated to leave this review but she absolutely deserves it. Hopefully she'll keep it in mind when she gets busy!

** LONG POST** I normally wouldn't post something like this…read moreand I am not looking to bash anyone in anyway. But, on Friday I dropped Luna off at Petsagogo in Research park. She's been here a number of times with no incidents... I dropped her off around 8:30 and picked her up around 4. By the time we got home we noticed her side was gashed and there was dried blood. I reached out to ask were they aware of this? Or had they seen this? As it was a Friday and it was late I decided to clean it up myself and Saturday morning I would call her vet. In the meantime the place called me back & explained they hadnt see this happen or that they were aware .. but apparently they saw blood AFTER we happened to leave, separated the dogs, but couldn't find the source. Well, that's because my poor girl wass the source of the blood... although they were very kind, they could not offer me an answer or anything in return. Fast forward to Saturday morning and we get into the vet. Luna ended up needing six staples and is coned for the next 10 to 14 days with limited activity. I have to spend these days walking her on a leash, she can't run, she can't play. She is on a strict bed rest to keep the staples in tact. I decided to reach back out to the place and let them know the outcome. Sadly the only thing they had to offer was that " Staples usually hold up." I asked them to run their cameras so that they can see which Dog did this to her, and in hopes that it doesn't happen to another dog. I know these are risks we take when we drop off our fur babies and I know we sign a waiver when doing so. My biggest concern wasn't that it happened, it was that it happened and no one knew. It happened & I wasn't told because they weren't aware which makes me wonder how often are these dogs left unsupervised? Needless to say I won't be sending her back. I'm glad she's okay and she's going to get all the TLC she needs! I just wish it didn't happen.

I contacted Lisa right when we got our puppy, Moxie. She sent me a detailed questionnaire and all…read morevaccines needed to attend. The questionnaire made me confident and proved they wanted to learn about the dogs in advance. Once our puppy was old enough to join, I reached out to Lisa because I was concerned that Moxie was scared when meeting new dogs, especially puppies, and due to her being too young + covid, she had not met as many. I was probably more worried than necessary, but Lisa NEVER made me feel that way. She spent lots of time talking with me about a plan to make sure Moxie and I were comfortable. She had us come in the evening after most dogs had left, and she knew that the dogs that would be there were good dogs for Moxie to meet. It went very well and Lisa assured me that Moxie's behavior was normal for a puppy and nothing to cause concern. Lisa suggested a specific day for Moxie to start coming based on personality matches with the other dogs. Now Moxie goes at least once a week and sometimes three. Moxie gets very excited and I can barely stop her from jumping out of the car to get in. She has boundless energy and Dawg On It helps with that, but above all, we know Moxie is safe and happy, while we can get some work done at home!
