** LONG POST** I normally wouldn't post something like this…read moreand I am not looking to bash anyone in anyway. But, on Friday I dropped Luna off at Petsagogo in Research park. She's been here a number of times with no incidents... I dropped her off around 8:30 and picked her up around 4. By the time we got home we noticed her side was gashed and there was dried blood. I reached out to ask were they aware of this? Or had they seen this? As it was a Friday and it was late I decided to clean it up myself and Saturday morning I would call her vet. In the meantime the place called me back & explained they hadnt see this happen or that they were aware .. but apparently they saw blood AFTER we happened to leave, separated the dogs, but couldn't find the source. Well, that's because my poor girl wass the source of the blood... although they were very kind, they could not offer me an answer or anything in return. Fast forward to Saturday morning and we get into the vet. Luna ended up needing six staples and is coned for the next 10 to 14 days with limited activity. I have to spend these days walking her on a leash, she can't run, she can't play. She is on a strict bed rest to keep the staples in tact. I decided to reach back out to the place and let them know the outcome. Sadly the only thing they had to offer was that " Staples usually hold up." I asked them to run their cameras so that they can see which Dog did this to her, and in hopes that it doesn't happen to another dog. I know these are risks we take when we drop off our fur babies and I know we sign a waiver when doing so. My biggest concern wasn't that it happened, it was that it happened and no one knew. It happened & I wasn't told because they weren't aware which makes me wonder how often are these dogs left unsupervised? Needless to say I won't be sending her back. I'm glad she's okay and she's going to get all the TLC she needs! I just wish it didn't happen.

WOW! What a great find! We stumbled on K9 Resorts when we were looking for a place to board our pup…read morefor the holidays. K9 Resorts Stamford opened in September 2023 so there weren't many reviews or testimonials to go off of, but we learned that they have other locations that have great reviews. Anytime it comes to boarding or daycare for our dog we get nervous as any pet owner does, mostly because of the unknown and you want to be sure you're leaving them in good hands. Everything from my first phone call with K9 resorts to our first tour far exceeded my expectations. Staff was friendly, the space was clean and not over crowded with dogs/pets, and the biggest piece for me- I could immediately tell that everyone there were pet-people and were passionate about what they did for a living. So excited that we found this gem of a spot. We'll be back!

I had a very similar experience to Aaron. Our dog's simple grooming went from a BASE price of $95…read moreto an average of $135-140 - Up 40% in less than 2 years. After years of taking our dog there we stopped after our groomer started charging us for one fictitious issue after another (matting, 'she was bad this time', 'we had to really work on her', etc.). Several times I had fully brushed the dog - no matting at all and she still upcharged me for 'matting'. But I have to say, one of the things that really set us off was that after years of grooming our dog, the groomer kept referring to our female as a he. And the groomers openly complain about not getting tipped by other customers. The independent contractor groomers are very rough around the edges - if it's not their client, they are less than pleasant. I just got the impression the ladies working there just don't like dogs or the work they do. They never give the dogs water, the cages are too small for most average size dogs. The signs in the shop just suggest customer should shut up and just pay. Regardless of instructions, the groomers do whatever they want and charge for it. This is not my idea of how to run a business. We voted with our feet and are much happier taking our dog ANYWHERE else.

The other times that my puppy has seen another groomer it's been a much higher price and not as good of an experience. Less friendly and not as well groomed. Most recently, I had the worst experience yet when Amy went out of town. My dog had matting around his neck after his neuter surgery so the man at the front said it would take a longer time to groom him and it would be more expensive. I dropped him and they agreed to call me to give me an exact price. It was around $60 more than usual so I asked if they could confirm this with Amy. It was agreed that they would groom my puppy while they waited to hear back from Amy. After six hours, I called to check in and they said that they never heard back from Amy so they didn't go ahead with the grooming and instead just let my puppy sit there for 6 hours. This was a total lack of good judgment and service. If they misunderstood, then they should have called me to check in rather than just letting my puppy sit there for 6 hours. I wondered what they would have done if I had not called. Would he have just stayed there overnight? And they did not apologize for the way they very poorly handled the situation. They just said oh sorry you can pick him up now. Terrible business practices! And it does often smell of second hand smoke as other customers have noted. Without Amy there, this business is terrible and has incredibly bad customer service and care.
