This is the only pub in town, and the only restaurant (besides the Nineth Wave which requires reservations and isn't an everyday restaurant kind of place). The pub has a limited selection with big name brands - the only craft beer option (by bottle) was sold out so that was disappointing. The restaurant part was nice, opening at 6pm on the dot and not before. It's good to go not much later since it does fill up and they don't take reservations.
The first night I went I had the grilled shrimp salad which was great. The next night we were back again (there were no other options and I had been good) and I had the beef in a Yorkshire pudding bowl which was also delicious. My vegetarian friend had more limited options (two each night, but they changed with the specialities) but she was happy with them. The place is a tad overpriced, but then again it is remote and there are no other options! The staff were really friendly each night too. On the whole, it's s good place but I hope they diversify their beer options a bit! read more
