Inside, there is a bar at one end and the kitchen is behind the bar. They offer a limited selection of beer, wine and cider. From the appearance of the bar, they offer dozens of types of Scotch whiskey. We entered and went to the bar to let them know we were here. We got to our table and ordered a beer for me and a glass of wine for my wife. The menu consists of many types of steak with a seafood, chicken or vegetarian dish. We both chose the pan fried hake filet with creamed leaks, cubed potatoes and herb oil. Our dinner arrived in around 20 minutes and looked great. I wanted to start eating immediately, but I took the time to snap a picture. We both thought the taste was excellent. This was one of the culinary highlights of the trip. However, my biggest disappointment was that, in the 21st century, and with such great care and pride of their steaks, why on earth does this "pub" not serve any proper, naturally conditioned, real ales.
