The pub has a limited selection with big name brands - the only craft beer option (by bottle) was sold out so that was disappointing. The restaurant part was nice, opening at 6pm on the dot and not before. It's good to go not much later since it does fill up and they don't take reservations. The first night I went I had the grilled shrimp salad which was great. The next night we were back again (there were no other options and I had been good) and I had the beef in a Yorkshire pudding bowl which was also delicious. My vegetarian friend had more limited options (two each night, but they changed with the specialities) but she was happy with them. The place is a tad overpriced, but then again it is remote and there are no other options! The staff were really friendly each night too. On the whole, it's s good place but I hope they diversify their beer options a bit!

Inside, there is a bar at one end and the kitchen is behind the bar. They offer a limited selection of beer, wine and cider. From the appearance of the bar, they offer dozens of types of Scotch whiskey. We entered and went to the bar to let them know we were here. We got to our table and ordered a beer for me and a glass of wine for my wife. The menu consists of many types of steak with a seafood, chicken or vegetarian dish. We both chose the pan fried hake filet with creamed leaks, cubed potatoes and herb oil. Our dinner arrived in around 20 minutes and looked great. I wanted to start eating immediately, but I took the time to snap a picture. We both thought the taste was excellent. This was one of the culinary highlights of the trip.
