I was a donor for 4 weeks. Initially I had no issues passing the physical and the daily Protein and…read moreIron test. No problems with the actual donations until the 4th donation. I had a problem with the tech getting a good stick and I was stuck twice by her with several adjustments trying to get a good flow. She called for a manager who then dug around trying to correct the line. Finally it held but it was slow. They were not able to complete the process but paid me anyway. Next time, (donation #5) I had to be cleared by the nurse because I had such a large bruise on my left arm. They allowed me to be stuck in the right arm which only had a small bruise. Next trip, bad stick in right arm, back to the left arm. Such digging involved that I was in pain the entire process and thought I would not be able to tolerate it long enough to finish. When I left that day, I knew I had a problem. By the time I arrived at home, my left arm was really hurting. It turned black and blue from half way up my forearm to well above my elbow. On the third day I had an appointment with my GP who examined me and said I had a deep blood clot and that I should hold off on donations until it completely cleared up. It took over 6 weeks for the bruise to clear and for me to be able to brush against it without going into orbit with pain. My arm did heal. I have since been a donor at another Plasma Facility and had NO problems with getting a great line first try. No second sticks or digging necessary. I am not upset with CSL. I actually intend to see them again in the future. Donating plasma is a personal calling for me. Everyone has a learning curve and I have a high tolerance for discomfort. So another opportunity to make a better impression will happen. I just advise anyone interested in donating to be prepared for the possibility of a poor experience. It can happen, so be sure you are ready.

There was no wait, and was told new donors is a 3 hour process, which is completely false. First he said 2 hours, then changed it to 3. I would highly recommend, if your looking to donate plasma, visit biolife, or ked plasma centers.

The site manager, Shamika, is racist! I started coming here in Feb 2026. I really liked the…read moreatmosphere & it seemed like the employees were really great! 3/9/26 everything was going just fine I was almost done with my donation, I guess I unconsciously raised my arm that the needle was in, so I was telling any of the employees that my arm was hurting. I don't know the girls name but she is a "floor lead", told me and the other employees on the floor that it is because I lifted my arm. I'm not disputing that however. It wasn't done intentionally. Their refusal to help me when I told them something hurt was absolutely intentional. Of course I ended up with a hematoma on my left arm due to them not coming to help me. So then I went to the managers. That is an absolute joke. I actually believe the stupid stuff she was saying.... Then I realized after that exactly what they were doing. They are intentionally finding any reason they can to NOT allow me to donate. So I went and spoke to the other lady in management who asked me instead of going to corporate, will I please try speaking my concerns to the site manager, Shamika. When I spoke with Shamika, she had 2 other witnesses with her at all times, like they aren't all going to agree with each other, even if they are telling lies. I asked if I could record the conversation because I very much so felt teamed up on. Shamika told me absolutely NOT! Hmm.. I wonder why. Maybe because she didn't do anything other than put me down and talk like I was dog poop on the ground! I've got a bachelors degree in accounting! No ma'am YOU are not better than me! What's really sad is that because I decided to use my constitutional right of freedom of speech & tell Shamika in a position like hers she should tuck in her racism she completely STOPPED ME from donating there ever again! I was supposed to be in the RH- group and I was really excited about that. I can assure you that if something isn't done to fix this issue because 10 days later I'm still bruised from where they refused to help me, I will make sure that everyone and every research place I know is aware of this place and how they really don't care about the donors and how they have plasma that is needed for specific things. I'm glad they can be so quick to stop someone from donating or being in one of the programs. I called Shamika racist. That's my opinion. She isn't the one that is going to take my blood from me, Thank God! The other short haired management lady, seriously completely changed what I said to be what she wanted it to be instead of what I said. Had I been recording all of this it would be super easy to prove that. I had a few scratches on my right arm from my dog because he bites his nails(due to anxiety) none of them were open wounds or infected. She twisted my words and went back saying I have dog bites in my arm! How unprofessional! I am O- blood type and RH- as well! I'm glad due to management getting upset for being called out for the behavior they were portraying that they can just pick and chose that now I am no longer able to be in the RH- group. Luckily I went to my family Doctor Thursday morning and he took pictures and all of that as proof of discrimination. He didn't prescribe 1 single thing to me for anything at all. He even noted that it was a small scratch on my right arm from my dog (that is an inside dog & completely up-to-date on his shots). Why is it ok for some employees and management to behave like children. If Shamika was racists then she would have just shrugged it off and moved along. Instead she banned me from all of it. I sure hope they don't ever do a seminar or anything like that about their RH- program or any other program because I sure will speak up and let everyone know that they really don't care. They want donors who will sit back and basically allow the employees there to do as they please Even If that means bruising your arm and not even applying an icepack to it. I deserve an apology and Shamika should be written up for being sneaky about them teaming up against me and then getting upset because I called her out on being racist!

Friendly staff. They are very good at what they do. They show concern when needed and pay attention…read moreto your needs.

I will be very detailed. I have only donated since July. The staff is very polite and the inside of…read morethe building is very clean. This staff seems to always be ready to greet customers, even those who are not so friendly. However, when asked to give a review on google , it's a bit difficult because if you don't have an account, you will have to create a new one, not a big deal to some, but it's too much for me to have so many accounts. (just for a free candy bar) Although we are all there for the same reason (to help cure/save lives and to make extra money) I feel some returning donors are there for a place to hang out. I feel there should be a "line" for fast givers that want to get in and out, that normally give fast. This would be a great incentive to the rest of us that feel the same. If a donor is in there longer than 1.5-2 hours (that normally is a fast donor), that's entirley too long! That's just not good business and makes it hard to return the next time. So instead of the fees (which we all love to be more) why not make changes with the process? Speed it up! or how about during the giving process, actually have management conduct an interview with each donor to see just what brings them in? This staff works their ass off ( I rarely see management on the floor ) . Also they shoud hire more people to help in my opinion. As far as the TV & music, each to their own, we all like different things, you will never cure that issue. BUT, if you are going to have the TV on, how about something healthy for the mind and soul to take in? Not criminal minds or some horror movie, again, this goes back to management. I hope this review actually gets read by the staff. Thank you , Amber S.
