It was a joy then when I went to get glasses or an exam. Dr. Sivas was always attentive and friendly and made the process enjoyable. He would talk to me about life, career, and family. When they moved, I lost track of them initially and went for my examinations else where. Found out later they just moved down Kings Canyon some more. Went it, booked an appointment and I was ready to go. Came in for my appointment on the later date and sat there waiting for someone to greet. There was no receptionist for 15 minutes. Finally told her I'm here for an appointment and she told me to wait. It took over an hour maybe an hour and a half to get brought in. Waiting time wasn't pleasant whatsoever. Moving on, did the examination and choose my frames and then waited a few weeks. When it was time to pick them up, I waited about an hour until I was brought in for fitting. The last straw was the second appointment. Came in and was told to sit down and wait. Only 1 person was in the lobby ahead of me so I thought it wouldn't take too long. 2 people then arrived after me waited less than I did and was brought in. I don't know if they had an earlier appointment or had better insurance than I did but waiting 2 hours was upsetting. Haven't been back here in over 5 years still hesitant to ever coming back. Currently looking for another optometrist, so it reminded me of this place.. Missed the good old days when they actually cared for their customers. Wasn't really on Dr. Sivas but more so his wife. I hope they read this and change for the better. And I won't give them a one star.

Some doctors just go through the motions and others connect with you, remember things you told them two visits ago and make sure you understand what they've done for you. His compassionate attitude is also reflected by his staff who are always gracious and attentive.

I brought my 10 month old baby girl in and the minute she saw the doctor she started to cry. Shannon, one of the staff members stepped inside the room and asked if she could hold my daughter so I could have my exam! What a blessing let me tell you that was!! I was able to have my exam with Dr. Sortor after that without a hitch. He gave me all the info I needed and was very thorough and fast. After that I was brought to the front where they have tons of frames to choose from. Another staff member helped me select a pair of glasses. She was very patient while I took my time. All the while the whole staff was very sweet to my daughter. Some places make you feel like a burden when you have a baby with you. Today was a breath of fresh air. Thanks you guy!!

The exam itself was very comprehensive, and it's clear they truly care about doing things properly rather than rushing patients through. I've had some really terrible eye exam experiences in town at the last three facilities, and after leaving a doctor I loved in West Hollywood, I hadn't been able to find someone of that caliber locally until now. This office actually exceeds that experience, which says a lot. They also took my insurance and CareCredit, which made the whole process even easier and more accessible.
