From my first consultation, throughout two cataract surgeries and subsequent follow-up appointments, I found Dr Keamy and her entire staff to be informative and supportive. Prior to my first surgery, Dr. Keamy explained in "layman's terms" exactly what the surgery would entail. On the day of surgery I was extremely nervous, however, Dr Keamy put me at ease and the experience was far less stressful than I had anticipated. Not only is Dr. Keamy a skilled surgeon, she is also passionate about what she does. My vision is far better than I expected and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. With absolute certainty I would recommend Dr. Keamy for any type of eye procedure especially cataract surgery. If I ever again have cause for eye surgery, Keamy Eye & Laser Centre is the only practice I would consider. Thank you Dr. Keamy and your wonderful staff for providing me with such great care.

I am an eye doctor in New Jersey and was trying to help a patient of mine who was working and living in Massachusetts He had a severe conjunctivitis in one eye and I thought it would be prudent to have him checked locally. I called Dr Keamy's office and this staff member decided to make up a diagnosis herself over the phone (she would not listen to me or get the facts) refused to continue with making the appointment for my patient. She put the patient at risk for potential loss of sight. When I tried to talk to her she would yell and then hang up the phone. The Patient ended up going to Reliant Medical Group and was treated immediately and appropriately for conjunctivitis.. Dr. Nguyen is the only doctor in my 30+ year history of messed-up eyes that has been able to "get it right" with my prescriptions. He's super patient and willing to try all kinds of tests and trial-and-error until he comes up with a solution. If you have anything out of the ordinary with your eyes, I highly recommend him. On the minus side - Dr. Nguyen's tenacity and perseverance when looking at issues comes at a price, and that's time. He spends so much time with me that it affects other customers' wait times. I've had a couple visits where I've had to wait 30 minutes, so I assume that this is the case for others as well. But to me the time sink is worth it because of the quality of the assessments. The weakest link here BY FAR has always been the receptionists. Over the years I've had several weird issues - One time the receptionist told me that the prescription I gave her over the phone "can't be right" even though I was literally reading the correction numbers on the boxes in front of me! They have gotten better over the years but are still a bit sloppy and disorganized. It's a shame because Dr. Nguyen is a 5-star doctor with 5-star equipment run by a 3-star staff.

With a history of dry eye, I called the office on Monday and spoke to Silvia. She understood my issue and scheduled me to come in later in the day. Unfortunately due to other commitments, I had to delay till next day and Silvia was very accommodating. I saw Dr. Jeff after a very short wait and he immediately saw that I had a corneal ulcer forming. He prescribed medication and sent me on my way. All those things happened but they are not the fault of Dr. Perryman. I firmly believe the experience I had was due to staff issues and not him. I have never had a doctor reach out to me like that. I had been under the mistaken opinion that HE wouldn't allow me to cancel my order because the receptionist put me on hold for a long time and I thought she might be consulting him. That's why you shouldn't assume. Dr. Perryman is an excellent eye doctor. I was impressed by his people skills and the way he made sure I got the contacts that were right for me. I apologize to Dr. Perryman for my first review. He promised me he would work with his staff (I can't help but wonder if they get a % of money sold on contacts) to correct their practices. I've found that most doctors lately rush through appointments and base their treatments on what is covered by insurance. Dr. Perryman took the time to explain my unique situation in terms I understood. He also is very kind and seemed interested in getting to know me personally. The experience reminded me of the small town doctors of the past. The office staff is super friendly and the space is comfortable. They even have free drinks and snacks which is nice. On top of that, he didn't try to hard sell me on purchasing glasses at the office but did explain that what they offer is high quality. I'm grateful to have this practice in town.
