    If I could give John more than 5 stars, I would. One of my central ac units bombed out on one of…read morethe hottest days. He squeezed me in the same day. He said he was coming at 5, then was running late but communicated he would still be there as soon as he could. This man came at 930 at night--when most people would've already been home in bed, and said I'm going to keep my word and I told you I would come so if it's still okay and not too late I'm 10 mins away.... He showed up; Diagnosed everything, gave us a temp fix overnight, sent me a quote (since we needed a new system), then called me the next morning to tell me he found the equipment for slightly less and got me an even lower price! And is replacing the unit the next day. Wow... aside from being super professional, he was honest and very knowledgeable. I had two other quotes done out of due diligence (which I do for every big job or contract work), and he also gave us the best pricing. So I would highly, highly recommend John and his company. And I'm so glad we found him. We will definitely be using him for any HvAC needs going forward.

John, James and Kyle went above and beyond the original scope of the work to do a proper install. Needless to say we now have an amazing unit done correctly. He and his crew are meticulous, neat (cleanup looks like no one was working there) and his recommendations were spot on. A real pleasure to have found him. Hopefully I won't need his services in the future but if I do he'll be my first call. Thanks again.

    I must be doing something wrong. I know on ur little island the demand for skilled trades…read moreoutstrips the number of service providers there are. And when you subtract out the unlicensed, uninsured people from your list your choices are minimal. I wanted to replace our thermostat after a slight remodel. The old one was dingy and couldn't be salvaged. While we were at it we decided to add WiFi connectivity beacuse, well we don't really have a true need for that but since a thermostat was only a few dollars more i figured, why not. After examining the current thermostat and the wiring at the HVAC unit i was convinced the the job was beyond my skill level. Having seen Soundview shop every day on the way to the gym an knowing a couple of them work out in the same gym, I thought I'd give the local team a shot. They said they would send someone by to look at the job to give an estimate. The estimator cam by and looked and tinkered with the system for about 45 minutes. in the end he said my control panel wasn't compatible with new generation thermostats. This wasn't hard to believe, we know that the builder relied on a lot of "closeout specials" when building the house 20 years ago. He also mentioned that we may need a new damper. He stated he didn't have the control panel on the truck but he would go back to the office and have them contact me with a quote for the work. He gave me a ballpark but said they office would need to validate once the sourced the exact parts. I agreed and indicated I would wat for the quote even asking how long the job would take. I paid the service call fee on the spot and thanked the technician. Well it's been over a month and I'm still waiting for a callback with a quote (not really anymore). maybe I have a unique facial tick that coincidently tells people to "ignore this man. In the interceding time I've been able to call someone ese have the work done and get on with my life. So much for the local team...

The guys that came, Ryan, Jaymes & Vinny were very professional, timely, neat, courteous and accommodated me on the placement of the unit (how high off ground I wanted it)and explained all to me. Price was good, which is always a good thing. The office staff is also very pleasant to deal with, great job ladies!!!!! I will most likely get a service contract down the line from them as well. **Guys, I hope you enjoyed the cookies I sent you home with :-)**

    The company offers a great value for checking all your points of concern- furnace, heating,…read moreplumbing, electrical. They were available to come at the convenient time and showed up as promised. Another great part is that they sent a text ahead of the person who will be coming. All technicians were friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. I remember Paul and Josh. I appreciate the suggestions. I didn't think it was imminent that I proceed with them. 4 instead of 5 is the prices quoted were extremely high which was surprising considering the amount of work that those specific jobs entailed. But this is everyone's choice. Another reason is that an electrician placed an advertisement sticker on one part in my house - very visible ( stood out like a sore thumb) and without my permission ( he didn't ask). Luckily the paint didn't peel off when I removed it. It's a small thing but it's a huge pet peeve for me.

Overpriced, made the situation worse upon their first service call, took over a week to get a part that we could have gotten at Lowe's same day (when I asked Ken about this, he lied to us and said it wasn't the same part. It ultimately was). The 2nd visit was 2 days later on a Friday. We were told that they would be here at 1pm, they didn't get here until 6pm. That tech came with the wrong part, ordered the new part and told us we would be priority on Monday morning. They didn't show up on Monday until 5pm to only be here for 15 minutes. After complaining to John about this (it takes a lot for me to complain) he offered us a $75 refund that we never received and I had to call back for. So for what took 15 minutes to fix, because of NH Ross we had to wait for almost a week, we ended up paying well over what we should have, had water damage as a result of what the first service tech did and not one person (Ken or John) cared about it. The fact that they could have purchased the part from Lowe's and fixed it for us immediately instead of being here at 3 separate times is ridiculous. The only reason we stuck with them is because when they took the deposit for the job they "accidentally" processed the full amount. Being that we are good and honest people, we just let them do the job instead of fighting. I can't say the same for these people, who are the very opposite of good and honest. The lack of care and concern they have for their "customers" is beyond my comprehension.

    Hello everyone! I first have to apologize because this review is soooo long overdue. I first met…read moreFrank from Hamptons air this past February while in the midst of a kitchen renovation. He was called in by my contractor because we needed to move some Freon lines and some duct work as well. (Note, I will note that spring I want at the time looking to do my ac system, I have been researching and getting process the last couple of years because I knew that I should get this system replaced since my old system was 22 years old. I didn't want to be caught with a broken system needing to be replaced at the wrong time) When Frank came, I was impressed by his friendly calm and assuring demeanor. He looked at what needed to be done and then gave me some great suggestions and options. I could move the Freon lines which would've been costly due to the Freon removal and replacement, and then who knows in a year or 2, I will probably replace my systems. I saw that as a good option but felt that I was just throwing away money. He then introduced more to their systems that they offer. He told me that he would work up a great price for me on new ac/heat pump systems and we will discuss what to do and pricing. I was glad to go this route because that was the route I was looking to go since my home has solar as well. These units require no oil. I kept my burner and hot water system since they are working fine, but that is all I have that used oil. Once they go, then I will switch that over as well. Frank came back to me with 2 options of units, I decided to go with the very fine, beautiful and efficient Mitsubishi units! Frank educated me on these units and their high efficiency and capabilities to heat and cool, even at extreme cold conditions, which is importantly with these heat pumps. I felt very confident with what he was showing me and his price point. Also, he said if I chose, I could get 0% financing fit 24 months through Synchrony which I was very excited about as well. I had the money to pay for the 2 units but I really want to leave my money in my investments and let them grow to help offset the costs even more. Also the rebate from PSEG was adding as well, and we even will get off on out taxes. We agreed and the job started. Now let me tell you, Frank was amazing but the crew and the company are even more amazing. How? I had a crew here for 2 woks doing my install. They installed 2 high efficiency Mitsubishi units on the side of my house that are do impressive when people see them. They excuse power! They installed new duct work in the attic to replace my 22 year old duct s (which Frank said wasn't needed as of yet but highly recommended to do more while they are there working). They installed a humidifier, ran additional ducts to my basement, set all my nest thermostats which I had already (they offer these to you as well) . Each day I would get a notification by text and email of the crew that is coming to my house with the Foreman in charge. I knew who was going to be there each day and when they would arrive. What service!!! The guys busted their butts at my home for 2 weeks up and down stairs, ladders, into the attack, removing my old system (after they installed the new one) so I was never without heat. Mike and the crew were fantastic! Frank came by with a follow up and we have been in communication. Frank and Hamptons Air really do care about their customers. They treat you as their only customer with a very high priority. I highly recommend Hamptons Air Heating and Air Conditioning!
