I used to go to Cicero Nails and Spa frequently while in high school, and my dip powder nails with…read moretips would always last around 4 weeks until I had to physically remove them. Unfortunately, I went when home from a college break and got the same thing as I usually do, and they lasted exactly 2 weeks before one nail completely cracked off. This is disappointing as I used to love the experience years prior; they are very clean and also quick with their quality services. I did not have an appointment and got right in, which was wonderful, but unfortunately, I don't think nails should only last 2 weeks, and I'm very disappointed.

A dew days later one of my nails was ruined so I simply called and requested to come in to have it fixed. Long story short, it took them 2 weeks to acknowledge this fix as they also insinuated that it couldn't have been their salon and when I went in the first time they wouldn't even assist me. Being a loyal customer I called once again to set an appointment. I went in and the Asian lady couldn't have been more rude. Almost as if I was a burden on her. I understand there's a lot going on in the world but one customer is not every customer. And shame on you Healthy Nails. I will never return to your establishment. Do better or you will continue to lose out on good and loyal customers such as myself. Extremely rude. Unprofessional and not personable. Do better.

I had a Groupon for a mini spa pedicure and a dip powder manicure. I came on Christmas Eve and had no problem making a phone appointment. I was greeted at the door and was offered water or tea. For tea, you have the option of getting jasmine or black. The mini spa pedicure included a scrub that went up towards my knees. My legs were then wrapped with plastic wrap to maintain moisture while I got the rest of my pedicure. The shape of my nails is great and I like application. My big toe nail chipped a little the next day but that may be due to my own fault. My nail technician was Yoyo and she did a great job. I got color #1 for the SNS nail dip. They did 3 layers which is thicker than I like but it looks great overall. I didn't like that there was gunk under my nails after the appointment and that it had that tacky "skin is stuck to nails-feeling" but it was easy to clean up myself. They were playing Christmas music during the entire time and I thought that was festive and fun. They also had a dog movie playing on the TV so I was entertained the entire time. After my manicure, I was given a light shoulder massage. My technician had the tiniest hands. I was also given a Christmas gift when I left. This was so sweet! It was a cute nail clipper and a modern glass nail filer.

I never get manicures but wanted to treat myself and wish I never did. Don't let anyone use this type tool on your natural nailbed, it's an inappropriate short cut.
