Usually you can walk right in and there is no wait. Recently got a gel manicure, it was $25 and well done.

Totally amateur. Horrible gel manicure. Rough edges; gel on cuticles. Worst manicure ever.

I come here because I get a great pedicure . However the best part is the leg, ankle and foot massage. My legs feel refreshed and moisturized and I love how good my toes look after all the pampering. They use the CollagenSpa line of scented soaks and lotions here. I have tried them all - and think that I gravitate towards the lavender and lemon most often. Make an appointment if you can, and remember to pay in cash to get a discount.

Today was horrible as 4 or 5 of the employees were constantly chatting in Chinese , loudly across the room to each other. At least when we as clients chat, we chat next to each other & at a lower tone . As that loud conversations when on for my full hour I went to pay the woman & she had the nerve to yell at me when I was trying to explain how upsetting that is when you come in for spa treatment expecting a peaceful environment & relaxation. she shouted at me "If we want to talk we will! "she had no concept that as clients we come in for our treatments expecting a relaxing experience . I paid my bill of $95.00 & walked out just shocked over their crass attitude. $95.00 plus tip not a small amount that I treat myself too every couple of months. I left a message for Charlie one of the owners & he never responded so apparently that was all fine with him. if there are any suggestions of a place I can go where the client is respected & is a quiet spa environment; let me know. The station was absolutely filthy and she had tools and dust all over the place. She began to look at my current nails, which were in very rough shape, but beautifully designed. They had very detailed hand, painted turquoise along with cow print that I had got done at a different nail salon and location. She then began to talk with several of the other employees coming over pointing at my fingernails and when I had questioned what they were talking about because I couldn't understand, she said nothing. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable, considering they were obviously talking about my fingers and it would be nice to be included. She asked me what color I had wanted, and I took my time to look and chose a cat eye nail polish as an accent nail, which she did not know how to use the magnet and was shaking. I asked if it was possible to get a small simple flower design on my ring finger, which she was very confident in doing. I will show you the example of what I asked for and what I got below. She was shaking like a leaf the whole time and I didn't know what to say or how to even react. For the 45$ that I spent, 7 of my nails were chipped by the next day, my nails look like a toddler did them, they are all now extremely thin and breaking. Never again.

No problem, I waited for her to finish, about 10 minutes past my appointment time. But then she moved on to another client getting a pedicure. I recently had a deluxe pedicure and gel manicure at La Queen. This is a very "high end" nail…read moresalon. Everything from the massage chair to the display of 1,000 nail colors and finishes is top shelf. I've had 2 gel manicures before this which were very nice though the polish started to chip off on this last one after one week, previous experience at other salons has consistently been no chips for 2+ weeks. 20% off pricing is a big plus. My pedicure was not a positive experience. It was a cold day in January, and my feet were ice cold, but instead of warming my feet up and softening my nails in the foot bath, the technician immediately started to cut my toe nails...which really hurt! I told her I wanted to warm my feet up and started to put them in the bath, she pulled them back out! I also have ingrown toenails, so the painful trimming made me yell "Ow!" Loudly! The nail tech then tried to be somewhat gentle- the final result was that my toenails hardly got trimmed. She did give me a very nice foot and leg massage. However, I do not plan to return.

I've been with Cherry the whole time and absolutely love her- sadly I never take photos of my nails but I included the chrome ones she's done for me over the years! Prices are very fair. Would definitely recommend BOOKING AHEAD OF TIME, they are typically too busy for walk-ins.

Never any coupons, deals for however many times you go there, etc. The best seems to be to save a couple of dollars by paying cash over credit/debit card. It would be nice to feel appreciated and have some sort of reward or coupon program, given how large the business has grown to. #2: Lately, it seems that the nail techs are too busy to sanitize their tools in between customers. I really have no desire to catch anything from non-sanitized clippers, cuticle trimmers, or nail files. I would LOVE to see the techs opening sanitized tools in front of me while I'm there, so I know they're using clean stuff during my session. #3: I'm not sure if it's the tool or the techs, but I am so sick of my fingers getting cut up by the edges of the nail files! Like a papercut but deeper and it stings!! #4: Not everyone is trained equally. Some techs refuse to learn simple new techniques. It could be because they are over-worked and always busy. I also don't think each person does the dip manicure or the cat-eye manicure the same way - which way is the right way? It's different every time, it seems, and some techs' manicures definitely have better staying power and durability than others'. Overall, I find that this is a pretty good value for what you get, most of the techs do a good job, and I love that cat-eye dip is now being offered, but I'm just starting to question what's going on here. Are the workers too busy and stressed? Do they need more time in between clients?

This was my first time visiting BV Nail Spa. I had seen the two-star rating and read some…read morenot-so-great reviews beforehand, but I still wanted to give it a shot and form my own opinion -- because I feel like oftentimes people only leave reviews when they've had a bad experience. But on the flip side, we often forget to give places their proper flowers when we actually have a good one. The salon itself is clean, peaceful, and has a nice ambiance. I called ahead to check availability, and they told me to come in. I let them know I'd be there in five minutes, and when I arrived, I was seated immediately -- no wait, which I appreciated. I received a fill, a cut down, and had two nails fixed. Kenny did my nails. He was quiet, very gentle, and seemed to genuinely listen to what I wanted. That said, I did leave feeling a little unsure. One hand looks noticeably shorter than the other, and the shape isn't exactly the almond I asked for -- they look wider than expected. My fingers are naturally a little crooked, so maybe that played a part, but the inconsistency is definitely noticeable. From far away, my nails look cute -- cool even. But up close, you can really see the unevenness, which is a little disappointing. Another thing I didn't love was being charged for using a credit card. My total ended up being $58 plus tip, even though over the phone, they quoted me $51. The manager did tell Kenny to notify me if there were any changes in pricing, but he never mentioned it. I didn't press the issue since it wasn't a huge jump, but it still felt a little off. Also -- sidenote -- I just moved back to Syracuse after 13 years in Charlotte, and it seems like this whole "charging extra to use a card" thing is common here. I personally think it's corny. They do have an ATM inside that charges $0.99, but I'm just not a fan of being charged to access my own money. So if you plan on going, I'd recommend bringing cash. They also have a QR code for Vemo at the front desk, and they do offer a rewards program -- I signed up for it, but I forgot to ask how it works or what you need to do to actually earn rewards. All in all, I'd rate my experience a 6.5 out of 10. It wasn't horrible. The ambiance was nice, the service was gentle, and I was seen quickly. My nails aren't terrible -- they're fine from a distance, but up close, the flaws are obvious. I might give them one more try, just to see if it was an off day.

The pedicure never fully dried and I have a lump. It was a waste of $120 for me. The best thing was the glass of wine. The man that did my nails was kind but maybe inexperienced or rushing. The vibe was calming until the music was cut off at 5:30pm. I know I came at 4:40 and they close at 6pm. Closing at 6pm on a Saturday is unconventional to me. The first time I came here I loved my nails. Maybe their speciality is not dip powder or gel pedicures.

Everyone wears masks and gloves which gave me high hopes. The woman who did my nails seemed very sweet, but she skipped multiple steps when doing my nails. I called ahead and asked if I could make an appointment for 6:15, they told me that that was OK. I think they must've just been rushing since they close at seven. She didn't file out my nails so that they were smooth. Every single nail has awkward dips and bumps. She didn't dehydrate my nails at all, and there are sections on the sides of my nails that just don't have any polish or gel and actually have old blue polish from my last set. Typically with a manicure, some kind of cuticle oil or hand lotion is applied at the end, that was not the case here. They also didn't push back or trim my cuticles at all. I'm pretty disappointed with how they turned out. I made comments throughout the manicure, asking for things to be adjusted, but before I could even comment on the lumpiness and awkward shape of my nails, she had started putting gel on them. I don't think I would come here again personally. Maybe if I had come earlier in the day, it would've been ok. But if they weren't going to have time, they should've just told me that instead of rushing through the appointment.
