The station was absolutely filthy and she had tools and dust all over the place. She began to look at my current nails, which were in very rough shape, but beautifully designed. They had very detailed hand, painted turquoise along with cow print that I had got done at a different nail salon and location. She then began to talk with several of the other employees coming over pointing at my fingernails and when I had questioned what they were talking about because I couldn't understand, she said nothing. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable, considering they were obviously talking about my fingers and it would be nice to be included. She asked me what color I had wanted, and I took my time to look and chose a cat eye nail polish as an accent nail, which she did not know how to use the magnet and was shaking. I asked if it was possible to get a small simple flower design on my ring finger, which she was very confident in doing. I will show you the example of what I asked for and what I got below. She was shaking like a leaf the whole time and I didn't know what to say or how to even react. For the 45$ that I spent, 7 of my nails were chipped by the next day, my nails look like a toddler did them, they are all now extremely thin and breaking. Never again.

I had tips applied to my natural nails with dip. The technician doing my nails seemed rushed, and there were noticeable dips and imperfections throughout the finished manicure. When I pointed them out, I was told they were because of the tips, which has never been an issue for me at other salons. The undersides of my nails were also left a mess, and the manager had to correct them. I will give him credit--he did a great job fixing them and was very accommodating. But honestly, the quality of my manicure was not what bothered me most. What was completely unacceptable was the way my boyfriend was treated by the staff. Several employees openly stared at his nails, laughed, pointed, and repeatedly came over just to look at them. At one point, multiple technicians were gathered around him, laughing and essentially making him the subject of their entertainment. This was not subtle, and it was incredibly uncomfortable to sit there and watch. A nail salon should be a place where people can express themselves without being judged or ridiculed by the people providing the service. Whether you personally like someone's nails, style, color, or choices is irrelevant. **Laughing at, pointing at, and openly gawking at a paying customer is disrespectful, unprofessional, and unacceptable.** What makes this even more disappointing is that I know BV Nails is capable of doing beautiful work. I've seen it myself, which is why I had no problem returning. But great nail work does not excuse treating customers this way. **Management needs to address this.** Staff should understand that every customer who walks through the door deserves to feel comfortable, respected, and welcome. My boyfriend should not have to sit in a salon and feel like the staff is laughing at him simply because he chose a different style of manicure.
