I have been wanting a head spa experience since I first learned about it last fall so I was very…read moreexcited as Mia led me through the hushed, elegant corridor of the spa to the treatment room. There was a lamp that shone stars and nebulas on the walls and ceiling and created a really cool and soothing atmosphere. I lay on a table like a low massage table (but with the part under your upper body covered in plastic). My head was over a sink and Mia proceeded to scrub my scalp like it had never been scrubbed before. Time seemed to stand still as there was scrubbing, shampooing, conditioning, heavenly massage of the neck and shoulder areas, an arm and hand massage while my scalp got a steam treatment, then my hair was combed out and gently blow-dried (I did not opt for the blow-out with styling add-on). It was incredibly relaxing, my scalp never felt better and my hair was extremely clean, soft and smooth.

He was able to pin point all my pain without me telling him! Amazing. My husband's wasn't as good according to him. He said it was so bad, he walked out before his 90 minutes. I think it was only 30 minutes. He said he kept telling her to do it harder but there's no pressure. The owner made it right when she saw him walked out. She recommended another. He said she did a way better job. Thank you for making it right.

Just doing an update because a lot has change…read more Right now they have a spring special $30 for the month of May only Monday- Friday ( not Memorial Day) Its still clean as compared to their competitor. The Bade pools ( yes you have to be in the buff) The jets aren't strong as I wanted. The steam rooms are cool. I love the cold plunge pool. The sauna rooms have a lot to offer. Hinoki room is my favorite. The outdoor pools. There aren't enough lounge chairs .. A lot of the jets dont work...and most of the time women are kiking forever on the jets stations ... The jacuzzi is small but very relaxing. As far as food, it's not worth it! Almost $30 for bulgogi??! I got scallion pancakes and it was dreadful! It's supposed to be crispy! It seemed like they microwaved it. The empanadas was ok. They sell these cute bear drink that had your choice of Sorrel ( hibiscus? Or ginger lemonade. I got sorrel but it was too sweet!! For $9!! At least the bottle is reusable. I definitely prefer this place over Parkside/Spa World. I recommend coming during the weekend, and get here early!

BEWARE -- I would not recommend this place…read more This felt more like a crowded bathhouse with a few saunas than a relaxing spa experience. The facilities were extremely busy, and the saunas were consistently packed, making it difficult to enjoy or unwind. My boyfriend and I each booked a deep tissue massage for $160, plus an automatic 18% gratuity ($28) bringing the total to $188 per person--nearly $400 for two massages. Unfortunately, the massages were very underwhelming. The therapists left the room multiple times, applied minimal pressure despite it being a deep tissue service, and frequently rested their elbows in place for extended periods rather than actively working on muscle tension. Overall, it felt like time was being filled rather than treatment being provided. The food was also overpriced for what was offered. For example, a bulgogi bento was around $30, which felt excessive given the quality and portion size. Overall, this was a disappointing experience and not a good value for the money.

THEY ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH OTHER LOCATIONS!…read more Now that I have that out the way. Let's dive in. This location is very very small. I was shocked how "intimate" it is. If you're used to Atlanta amd Houston location please lower your expectations. You have to schedule service before you go in. I wasn't aware if that so please be mindful. They also take your shoes before you go back. My mind was blown. Once I got back it looks the same except the pool area is massive with cool jet powered pockets. If you forget something there is a purchase price instead of gratis. Like toothbrush, deodorant, toothpaste, etc. Interesting that you can wear swimsuits. I didn't have one because I thought they weren't allowed. I was a bit disappointed in my scrub but I think it's because it was moved up, shrle came looking for me, she was irritated, I was annoyed, she asked for a tip 5X and I kept saying "No". I did use a GroupOn and that was dope. I would definitely use again just for the 30 min massage alone. Kim was amazing! It also got moved up 15 mins. It has a traditional layout as other locations but they have 3 upstairs spaces for massages, gym, and smoking. The resturant was closed while I was there so I set up myself up for some $9 Ramen. Yeah, I know. Stupid move. I was hungry. Although, small they tossed in a few couches and chairs. There's 5 rooms with temperatures listed. I thought that was cool. May absolutely favorite was the CLAY room. Its so fun and different. I went on a Monday to avoid people but it was still pretty busy. I don't think there is a difference on the day of the week.

I read the bad reviews before going, but I'm going to base my opinion on my own experience. I like that they offer discounts for seniors. My mom's admission was $35 and mine was $45. This is definitely very affordable, and for someone who cares more about the benefits rather than aesthetics or Instagram photos, I think it's worth it. I can see why some people say the pool water smells musky. It does seem that way a bit, but honestly, I'm not sure if it's just because the water is warm. The spa treatments are pricey, but it's understandable. The staff could use some hospitality training. The girl at the front desk was nice, but the guy could definitely use some training. The food is affordable and the portions are huge. I got bibimbap for $16 and shared it with my mom, so it was definitely worth the money. I would come back again, especially on my birthday, because they have a promotion for free admission if it's your birthday. They also have a bunch of other promotions that I don't remember, but they're worth checking out. Really wish they would open one in Maryland again.
