I had a very disappointing experience at what is considered a high-end salon…read more Before booking my first appointment, I sent photos of my current hair and inspiration pictures to the stylist. I have an AirTouch technique in my hair, and since the salon does not offer AirTouch services, I wanted to confirm in advance that we could achieve a similar look using balayage or highlights. I was assured we could proceed. At the appointment, I waited a bit (which I understand happens in Miami). Once seated, the stylist examined my hair carefully and suggested doing a half head of highlights first to see how my fine, chemically damaged hair would react. I appreciated the caution and explained my previous negative experience with another stylist. When I left the salon, I was happy. The result wasn't identical to my inspiration photos, but I felt good about it. However, after washing my hair once, I noticed obvious orange foil spots and poorly blended areas near my ears. I immediately contacted the salon, and to their credit, they accommodated me the next day for a correction. Unfortunately, the solution offered was to darken my roots to cover the orange spots. This left me questioning why I paid $450 to lighten my roots, only to have them darkened again. Now, just a little over two weeks later, my hair already looks grown out because of the darker roots. For the price point and reputation of this salon, I expected better execution and a longer-lasting result. I truly wanted to love the experience, but overall, I'm very disappointed.

Desperate, since I was ling overdue for a dye(and had requested the day off of work just for this appointment), I decided to check out Yelp for salons in my area and came across Qiu. I was scheduled with Noel and showed him what I wanted. He went right to work and explained each step in detail as he did my hair. It did take some hours but I left happier than ever and can't wait to go back. I've already recommended 3 friends over. Their attention to detail and the amazing products used were unmatched

I absolutely adored my first experience at Coffee & Blow Dry Bar in Doral! I followed my stylist,…read moreGiselle (@hairrbygiselle), from another salon - because she is just that damn good! Coffee and Blow Dry Bar started as a heat-only, styling bar, but recently started offering full service by a few stylists. So, I was in for a touch-up to my color and a cut. This location is in a small, strip mall, so there is parking - it just might be full depending on which time of day you are there. When I walked in, I was greeted quickly and offered a complimentary coffee - I opted for a pistachio latte. They had tons of flavor options - but no non-dairy milk option (which honestly was the only semi-negative part of my whole experience). I was also offered coffee on the way out, as well as water throughout my service. Giselle got started quickly - I knew I wanted a cut and a touch-up to my color, something brighter - but overall told her to do what she wanted. And, it turned out so so good! Giselle gets all the stars, honestly. I would be excited to try Coffee and Blow Dry Bar just for a blowout and style - but definitely know I will be back for full-service appointments.

She understands the chemical process of hair color which is *somehow* a rare find in a hairdresser these days. In coloring hair (especially blonde) you're always going to be at risk for breakage. However, Maby does everything she can to minimize the risk and leave you happy with a color that you love. I would highly suggest going to Maby set up a consultation and she will ease any fears you may have with her blunt and honest opinion of what you can reasonably achieve.
