He provided the most affordable quote out of about five quotes we received and the team was willing to work with the difficult situation of our house having a lot of residue from old ivy vines. They were also very mindful of the details and character of our 100-year-old airplane bungalow craftsman home, which we really appreciated. His team completed the work within the projected timeframe, and we are so happy with the result! He even went above and beyond by doing some extras for us, like painting a bench and the fence connecting us to our neighbors. We would definitely recommend Flex Painting!

We had a very good experience with them and their work led me to contact Freddy again years after to paint the exterior. He came in to give us a quote for the project and he gave us a great price. The amazing professionalism, punctuality, friendliness, and workmanship of Freddy and his great crew, Miguel, Jose, and Junior, in my opinion exceeds that of what their rate is. They really do care a lot about their work and make sure it's quality. Not only that, they are able to finish it in a timely manner. We ended up hiring them to stain our hardwood floors (but ended up keeping it with natural color) and had been very accommodating in working around a busy household. We also had a fresh coat of paint in some of our interior walls as maintenance, which made the house look new again. As expected, they did a wonderful job. I definitely highly recommend this company and would be contacting them again for future projects. Very trustworthy to do the job right, including warranties and workers comp for their crew.

They were responsive, easy to communicate with, and willing to work with me as the project moved through different stages. Construction projects often require small adjustments and touch ups along the way, and I appreciated that they were cooperative when additional details needed attention. The painting work came out clean and helped bring the project together at the final stage. They also worked around the other trades and construction schedule, which was important for a project like this. Overall, I appreciate their work and their help in completing my ADU. I would recommend Revive and Refinish to homeowners looking for a painting contractor who communicates well and is willing to work through the details of a project.

Do not use Revive & Refinish…read more Their crew started spraying paint approximately three hours after arriving without properly cleaning or preparing my house. I hired this company for an approximately $11,000 exterior painting project largely because of its many five-star reviews and the extensive preparation process it promised. My Ring footage shows that the house was not power-washed before painting began. After inspecting the property, I found paint applied directly over dirt, cobwebs, insects, loose material and unsanded wood. Requested hardware was painted around or painted over, substantial areas were missed, large holes were filled improperly, and damaged stucco and wood remained unrepaired. These were not minor punch-list items to correct during a final walkthrough. Cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching and repairing are fundamental steps that should have been completed before any paint was applied. After I documented the issues, the crew returned for a second day. Unfortunately, I continued finding incomplete preparation, rough and unsanded wood, debris, open holes, improper caulking and unacceptable repairs. Instead of properly correcting and completing the project, Revive & Refinish informed me that it would not return because it felt there was a "lack of trust" in its crew and process. My concerns were based on Ring footage and extensive photographic evidence of the work performed. I am now left with an incomplete project and improperly applied paint that another licensed contractor will need to inspect and correct. Leaving unused body paint at my property does not compensate me for the defective work or complete the project. I have requested a full refund of my deposit and am obtaining an independent assessment and estimate for the corrective work.

James Chung is the kind of painter you tolerate to do a paint job fast and relatively cheap,…read morehowever you would be sacrificing details and good communication. He was difficult to communicate with and overall very reluctant to help with anything beyond painting, such as removing smoke detectors and patch up the hole to paint the area. The paint job looked good upon first glance but because he freehanded the project and didn't tape out sections that should be left unpainted, there were paint droplets left all over the various surfaces of my place. He also completely forgot to paint the back of the closet doors, and did not respond to my texts and emails asking for them to be completed. If you don't care about having perfect quality, he'd be the person to go to, but otherwise find someone who is more meticulous.

We are very disappointed with the quality of the work considering all the good reviews... However,…read moreour experience was mostly negative! Starting with Russell who promised an exceptional job, but when the paint bubbled up he came up with excuses, contradicted himself, even put words in my mouth, and never took responsibility for his mistakes. He messed up our front porch, used cheap material to save some money, and it's looking worse than before with bubbles all over. We hired A1 painting because they're supposed to be the 'professionals' in this field and expected them to have the knowledge to deal with any type of situation/weather. If the heat was a problem for doing quality painting, I wish that was communicated to us from the beginning. Instead they went ahead with doing the job and then blamed external circumstances for their failure. Secondly, they gave us a quote and said they'd use the best quality paint for the job. However, I overheard them speaking to each other and mentioning they saved money on the materials. Two stars for the decent work Walter has done on the doors.
