$15 and change for this hibachi chicken "meal". Everyone was still hungry.

My family of 4 went a couple days ago at lunch time. We payed a dinner price for lunch and got the tiniest portion. 15$ for this is just sad and almost offensive. The "fried rice" was not even fried rice. It lacked any taste and had clumps of normal white rice in it. What a greedy portion. We will not be coming back. Other hibachi places are cheaper, with bigger portions, AND often include free soup or salad. Service was okay just the food was not it. The veggies was 2 pieces of broccoli and a few onions...

It was really good. For the price and taste u can't beat it. Very nice inside, I was just picking up but it was very big inside. It was very delicious and one of the better restaurants in St. John's. My food was ready within 15 minutes of ordering and it was really great and easy.

Customer service was great and easy to order. I order a smoked salmon bowl with peppered tuna. All the ingredients were fresh. Clean and family friendly!

Spicy Roll

I was honestly so grossed out by the raw rolls I couldn't eat more than 2. The spicy tuna roll was more pale than the salmon. It kind of tasted like canned tuna. Slice level:0/5 taste: 1/5. I left a photo. This can't be right. The salmon was okay, definitely not good. My husband tried it. I was honestly too grossed out to eat it after trying the tuna roll. The 5$ roll that has a 3 day expiration at Publix is better. Definitely not impressed with anything raw we got. I definitely won't be going back. I've always been cautious of chains and didn't realize it was until I had placed my order on uber eats because it was listed as kazu sushi (not sushi burrito) Edamame, miso, and dumplings were good.

Love going to this place if you want a quick dinner before or after a movie at Durbin. The sushi is made to order and fresh and the 2 for $12 rolls is a plus. The place is clean and the staff are all friendly.

I like the environment. Staff are very friendly. Second time I came for the poke, it is delicious. 3 proteins for a fair price. Very good.

Takoyaki(4pcs)

I'm currently on vacation in Ponte Vedra, which means more opportunities to try new food! I ordered dinner from Kazu. I LOVE Asian food (if you haven't seen my other reviews, you know now). So I was craving takoyaki. I searched it and Kazu showed up! I ordered this, Yasai Gyoza, and a braised porkbelly bowl. The first thing I did was inhale the takoyaki. As soon as I opened the container, the katsuobushi flakes were still dancing (katsuobushi is a dried tuna that is shaved VERY thinly. So thin that heat makes it move. Tons of umami! The amount of flavor in these crisp dough balls with octopus and dancing katsuobushi flakes was IMMENSE! I'm sad there's only 4 to an order, but at the same time I'm glad it's only 4, I could eat an adult's weight of these! Next was the gyoza. These are just vegetarian dumplings, but were so incredibly made. Tasty, light, and enjoyable! Very well made! Now for the braised porkbelly bowl. Oh my. The flavor and taste of this is AMAZING! The pork firm in bite but the fatty part melts in your mouth. The amount of spice pairs so well with the fattiness of the pork and the white rice ties it all together. The shoyu tamago (soy sauce marinated egg) was a wonderful touch as well. The food I had was PHENOMENAL! Affordable, (even with Uber eats prices) lightning fast delivery, and I think I may need to visit in person before I return home!

I'm a sucker for spicy krab dish so naturally I go for a bowl with it and fried shrimp (but how cool is it that they also offer these in burrito style??!! Unique and fun. This Kazu is clean and staff are friendly. They always seems to be pretty quick. We order through their website often. They have a ton of options from sushi, hibachi, poke, soups, dumplings, bento boxes, and desserts!

This is a great sushi burrito and poke bowl place near bartram and nocatee. The food is fresh and you can choose many items to add to your order. Very refreshing and you feel full but not overly stuffed. Overall a good meal in a great location

Fried Shrimp Dumpling(5pcs) Cream Cheese Wonton(5pcs) Pan seared Pork Dumpling(5pcs)

My go to meal here is the bang bang shrimp. The shrimp is flavorful and their yum yum sauce is the best to date. The fried rice could be better but once the yum yum sauce is added to it, it is excellent. The customer service is always on point. Overall a great choice for take out.

Needed a quick bite in between errands so decided to stop by Kazu. I tried the build your own poke bowl and chose tempura shrimp. Grilled chicken, eel, white rice, seaweed salad, shrimp sauce, eel sauce, and a crunchy topping. The flavors were good except I wish the grilled chicken was warm. I didn't realize they serve the grilled chicken cold and I probably should have asked before I ordered.

I know in life, they say you can't have it all. But what if you can? With sushi burrito you can satisfy your messy handheld burrito craving and your hawaiian fish craving at the same time! When i think of sushi burritos, Kazu is the first place that comes to mind. Weather you're looking for a bowl, burrito, or salad, the customizations are endless and appeal to everyone's diet. I would definitely recommend the create your own sushi burrito or poke bowl. I rotate between the two quite frequently but today I was in a burrito mood. I stuff this baby with white rice, salmon, edamame, scallions, crispy garlic, and avocado but you can do as you please, that's not my business! I personally prefer my sauce on the side so I got a cup of ponzu along with it but if you want shrimp sauce slapped all over that baby and rolled up, be my guest! These sushi burritos are just to die for, they are tightly wrapped and durable so you don't have to worry about spilling. and if you're not as decisive as I, definitely go for one of their signature burritos on the menu rather than a customized one! Seeing I was extra hungry, I got some spring rolls to accompany this burrito. I've never tried there's before but I was pleasantly surprised. They were not very oily, the inside was starchy and the vegetables were tasty. I enjoyed the sweet sauce on the side and I felt that the texture and flavor worked nicely together. The outdoor dining area was a great place to enjoy this meal in the sun. The food came out quickly and I ate every last bit. It you don't have enough time to eat inside, they have a very quick to-go station that you need to check out!

Now Open. Official Grand Opening is tomorrow 6/1/2020. 50% Off on all orders special only on Grand Opening day (in store purchases only)

GRAND OPENING of a new Kazu Sushi Burrito that opened up in the first phase of the Pavilion at Durbin Creek in the St Johns area. The first phase will house a multi-tenant shopping area and once complete, it will rival the local Jacksonville shopping areas like the Town Center. They were offering a Grand Opening special, which 50% off on all in store purchases. This of course lured me in. And thankfully I came in at the right time. I did not experienced any craziness of long lines. And I did not witness any first day opening blues from the employees. The employees all seem to work in sync. I am sure it's probably a different story during peak times. I had a great experience. Looking at the menu, we ordered the following: Shrimp Tempura Roll, Spider Roll, California Roll, I Love Bacon Roll and Takoyaki (fried octopus). The I Love Bacon Roll, despite made wrong as it had Salmon on top, was the winner of all of what we ordered. It was a delicious wrong sushi. Kazu Sushi Burrito also offers poke burritos, bowls and salads. Will definitely come back to try the other items.

Cheese Wonton(5pcs) (two orders combined. They were okay, the filling was a little too on the sweet side for me)

As of the moment, what I was truly hoping to try was outside of my price range. I ordered to go and purchased a Spam Masubi ($3.50 without tax). I will state that this appetizer may not be the best representative of this restaurant's cuisine. I would personally rate it 5.8/10 and would truly hope to try something different. I also believe the cost to meal gained ratio left me feeling this was a bit overpriced. Nevertheless, I want to return to try a different menu item as others have stated the food was enjoyable.

Well, the owner of the food truck (Will) is a Jacksonville'n. He wanted to go home and give his home town Jax peeps a lil sumthin sumthin of what they have to offer, Hawaiian and Filipino food. So on their first trial, they set camp just right outside the Orange Park Mall parking lot....and it was a hit. The smell and aroma alone coming out of their roof vents was enough to attract you to the truck like Zombies to noises. Their menu is pretty simple. The top sellers here are their Signature Plates: Huli Huli Chicken, Teriyaki Beef and Kalua Pork. I ordered the Huli Huli Chicken (5/5), Kalua Pork (5/5), Spicy Spam Musubi (5/5) and Regular Spam Musubi (4/5)...all fantastic in their own rights. All in all, I foresee big things happening for this truck. Great tasting, delicious, yummy tummy food. You can follow them on Instagram for more info and on site locations. So I ordered a Spam Musubi, the Huli-Huli Chicken plate lunch and the Kal-Bi Rib plate lunch. The proteins had a good char on them which is important. The Kal Bi ribs were very tasty just like I remembers them and the boneless Huli-Huli chicken had a nice sweet taste to it. The rice was made in a rice cooker so of course perfect and the Mac salad was good - a bit too creamy for my taste but the best I've had on the mainland. Mahalo Chef Willi for bringing some of the island to the east coast!

You can order at the kiosk or the counter, and we chose the counter. We both ordered the Supreme Poke Bowl and added a side of shrimp sauce. I'm glad we got the shrimp sauce on the side because it was heavy on mayo and not to my taste. The poke bowl was okay overall. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the crab and shrimp were flavorful. The cucumbers were fresh, and the bowl had a decent balance of ingredients. However, there was very little eel sauce, so if you like extra flavor, I'd recommend asking for more. The biggest disappointment was the spicy tuna--it tasted off and was not enjoyable. The ambiance of the interior was inviting, and the staff member we interacted with was friendly. That said, the food didn't leave much of an impression, and with so many other great poke places out there, I probably wouldn't return.
