    Pressed Cuban
    John B.

Kazbors Grill and Bar is a good spot for a laid back, inexpensive dinner. My wife and I stopped in here Tuesday night. We were seated pretty quickly. The dining room was pretty quiet but the bar was busy. Our server came by and welcomed us and got our drinks started. I had a Yuengling draft. We were also brought bread sticks. They were soft, buttery, with a garlic and a side of butter. We enjoyed these. My wife and I were pretty hungry so we started with the chips and salsa. You can get queso for an extra $4, which we did. This was up quick. The queso was decent, with a mild cheese flavor. It had a good consistency and had a slight spice. The salsa seemed about average. It did have larger chunks of tomato in it which lead me to believe it was made in-house. For dinner, my wife ordered the pressed Cuban and I ordered the Kazbor burger with cheese. You can to choose from various side items as well. I went with the potato salad and my wife got the fries. I wasn't sure which one to try but our server said she liked the potato salad. Our food didn't take long. As we sat, more and more people came in. This place definitely has a local place vibe. It seemed to me that the patrons knew one another and the staff seemed to know them too. There are quite a few tvs around and sports was on all of them. Our food came out and it looked good! I enjoyed my burger. It was a decent size and seasoned well. Cooked just right. Juicy and tasty. I felt like this was much better quality than a fast food burger but it kinda reminded me of one. Simple and flavorful with the traditional burger experience. The bun was soft and toasted, slightly buttery. I had it simple with lettuce, tomato, pickles and white American cheese. The potato salad was good and it had decent flavor profile but I only found two small chunks of potato. It was basically egg salad. My wife's Cuban was a good size and packed full of the traditional meats and cheese. Pressed on fresh bread with a slight crunch. She enjoyed it and was able to save half for lunch the next day. The fries were pretty good too. Slightly crispy but not too crunchy. They had a good potato taste and went well with ketchup. Our server was super friendly and kind. She checked on us as often as she could. As most restaurants these days, there seemed to be a staffing shortage so there were some delays in service but overall, it was fine. My wife and I would like to come back! We've heard good things about their boneless wings and would like to try other items on their menu!

Awesome experience and great tasting food! I started off with a side Caesar Salad. Yep, I'm that basic bish. :D I had the chicken quesadilla and could only eat 1/2 of it...cause, well, I had dranks too. My husband absolutely LOVED the chicken parm!!!! I was scared to sample it. I would have gotten stabbed. It reminded him of his Dad's cooking, which meant a lot to him. Overall, we had a GREAT experience, loved the family atmosphere and the food. We definitely recommend this spot and will be back again!!! Kazbor's Stardate 10/8/2022. We came back. Of course I had my usual Green Tea Drank. Soooooooo delicious! I had my side Caesar salad and it was better than the last time. I also had the Deep South Flatbread. Better thank expected...I also got a side of BBQ sauce...to it to another level. My hubby went for the Pepperoni Paradise Flatbread and the sweet barkeep gave him a side of their HOMEMADE marinara sauce that he ADORS!! Another GREAT experience here. The staff is amazingly courteous and thoughtful. I wish we lived closer.

After leaving an alternate location without food or even a beverage, it was late and I was hungry. I checked YELP and the ratings at Kazbors had great reviews. I initially thought they were closed and was headed to the restaurant next door when I realized they were open . There were only a few people inside, however it was clean and the patrons were friendly. The customer next to me recommended the Greek salad. I was able to order 10 wings , 5 blackend and 5 barbeque. It was great they allowed me to mix them. The wings were very good. Great flavor and served hot and juicy, except, for the blackened wings they were seasoned well, just a touch dry . The Greek Salad was good also. The potato salad in it added to the overall flavor. A squeeze of lemon on it with the herbs from the dressing made it even better. I drive by here several times per week, for many years, and have never stopped. One review said the parking lot is small, but there is always room. I don't think the outward appearance attracts attention like it should. I hope they add some lighting or maybe a neon "Grill" sign in the window. I always thought this was a bar and that it had closed. If you are in the area it's worth a try.

Kazbor's is a local Riverview hot spot, especially if you are looking for wings. Their wings are literally the only thing I get here because they make them well, and they make them well ALL the time. They recently remodeled their building so they have a small store front near the intersection of 301 and Boyette. They house a Bubbaque's next door and there is plenty of parking in the front and side of the building. So let's get back to those wings. They have limited flavors here, so you're not going to find a variety of choices here. But like I said, they do it well. I love their lemon-pepper rub or the garlic buffalo. They fry them to perfection and you'll almost always get a good crunch from each bite. I did happen to try the blackened rub, but it wasn't my favorite. It had a lot of seasoning from the looks of it, but it didn't pack as much flavor to that bite as I thought it was. Some other people may like but it wasn't for me. Okay, okay, here's the best thing I can tell you. If you absolutely love wings, come here on Thursdays! AYCE Wings!!! They have boneless for $13.99 or bone-in for $16.99, Worth it! Your first order comes out as 10 wings and a side and then each reorder is 6 wings.

This may be the most underrated restaurant in Riverview. Food is always awesome and so is the service. One of our favorites.

Good food, immersive environment, smooth jazz-yes, this was worth growing up for. Joia is comfy and casual enough for the family-but also sleek and sophisticated enough for date night or girls night out. It has a roomy bar area to the left when you come in, with extra high tops. I almost sat there-but since it was my first visit, I opted for the dining room-which is actually several different areas, making the space even more inviting and sort of intimate. I'm clearly crushing on the vibe of this place... and the food lives up to the atmosphere. The complimentary bread is so tasty you don't even need the oil and spices that come with it, but they're tasty, too. I came hungry and ordered the fried cheese as an app. It's excellent... pillowy bites with soft, super shredded cheese on top (like snow). Ohhhh, so good. Now, I'll admit, I was full after this. But Joia has been on my list for *years... and I didn't want to risk not getting the chicken piccata. Ohhhh, I'm so glad I did! It comes with mushrooms and spaghetti with the same lemon sauce. So, so good. My server Sheila was excellent-so friendly and easy to talk to. She made me feel like a regular-and knows the menu inside out. They have a 2-for-1 martini special, Tuesday-Friday, 4-7. Parking is plentiful (Joia is in a shopping plaza, at 301 and Gibsonton) and there's covered patio seating. The live music was so smooth and just the right volume. Honestly, I can't wait to go back. It feels like a special occasion going there, but it's not priced that way. I've gotta bring friends and family here... often.

There's an option to sit at the bar or at the tables they have available. My friends started with Shirley Temple, which they liked. One of them also had the jolly apple martini, which she raved about! They had a great two for one deal, which they have multiple days through throughout the week. We started off with the bruschetta, calamari, and crabcake sliders. All three of the appetizers were a hit at the table! The calamari was cooked to perfection. The crab cake sliders were bursting with flavor. We then moved on to our entrées, which were spaghetti, gnocchi with vodka sauce, and Margherita pizza. We all enjoyed our flavorful meals for the most part. The only downside would be the gnocchi with the vodka sauce. They don't give you much gnocchi, but there's a lot of sauce. The gnocchi normally comes in a Bolognese meat sauce, but because I don't eat meat, I asked for a different sauce not knowing I would be charged for it, and the unfortunately the waitress never stated that. I wasn't too fond of that since it didn't have meat, which means I was charged for both sauces. Other than that, it was a good experience, and hope to go back again one day.

Our waitress, who was friendly and clearly trying her best, appeared to be doing everything -- taking orders, serving tables, and possibly even cooking. It wasn't her fault, but it made the entire service feel slow and chaotic. Despite the place being nearly empty, it took 1 hour and 40 minutes to get our food. That kind of delay would be hard to overlook even during a rush -- let alone a slow morning. Several menu items were already "out" which was confusing and disappointing for a small menu. It felt like they were unprepared to open for the day.

The venue seems to book a few acts a week. You can go online, purchase tickets, and pick your actual seat - they sell seats by the table. We were at Table 20 for The Verve Pipe, and it was a four-top, in the 3rd row of tables, on the side, with an excellent view of the stage. Sadly, they do NOT offer their fabulous cocktails upstairs here, even though there is a bar. If you want to drink something stellar, you will need to walk yourself back down the two flights of stairs, and get it yourself. Instead, they have instructions on each table of how to order a standard cocktail on-line; you choose your basic booze, then your basic mixer, and a cocktail server will bring it out to you and take your credit card. Efficient, but very boring. The venue is small, but the sound was good, with the exception of the two magpies behind me screaming and nattering the whole time. Why go to a concert if you're just going to talk through the entire thing? But I digress.... This is a wonderful venue to go see some surprisingly good artists, and I highly recommend a visit.
