The food was horrible, prices high, and bartenders and owner extremely rude. Stay away from this place!!!

The drive between Chicago and Danville can be a long one...and there is no direct route. You find…read moreyourself driving through VERY flat farmland and VERY small towns like St. Anne, Watseka, Hoopston, et al. But if you want to take a break, grab a beer and get some good homemade bar grill food, turn off the main drag (in this case, Highway 1) and go a block or two into the business district of Milford, where there is an awesome little bar with an upfront grill (the cleanest I've ever seen) dishing up homemade soup, awesome burgers and pub food, great deep fry, and some kind of daily special -- including a home made desert (we had awesome pumpkin bars but they usually have pie). On weekends they have crazy cheap steak, fish fry, and prime rib specials. You have to put up with the country music channel on the tv...(but on the flip side they have free wifi, so don't bitch). All in all it's clean, cheap, good, and friendly -- so why waste your change on fast food when you can get food fast, homemade good, and with a water back? It's the most pit-stop worthy place on a long empty haul where the only other attraction is an old corn silo with a tree growing inside it -- we call it the "Hannibal Lecter tree" and a big funny billboard for the "Hoopston corn jerkers." If you grew up a corn jerker, you NEED a friendly place like the Hangout. And it was even open on Easter! Hallelujah, brother, pass the fried pickles and corn nuggets!

Dont really know why this is listed under "Dive bars" because it is pretty classy. And there are 3…read moret.v.'s in there which are usually on 3 different sports channels. Yes all the food is homemade and every friday there is a fresh dessert made. This is a great place to eat and even bring the kids.

Hangout - Save us from the Country Music Channel, but I bet they would have changed it if we asked.

This was our first time visiting Overpass Pizza and we were so surprised! It's in an unassuming…read morelittle building - off the beaten path. When we arrived we were seated right away but it was buzzing with locals and pick ups (good sign, right?!) We really enjoyed looking at all of the local memorabilia on the walls and our service was EXCELLENT! The woman that served our table was very friendly, upbeat, and knew exactly how to take care of her guests. Our food came out very quickly and we enjoyed all of it. We had the 12" thin crust pepperoni pizza and some garlic bread. Next time we'd like to try either the deep dish or some of the house special pizzas. I was pretty shocked to see that our total was over $45 for the 12" pizza, bread, and two drinks with tip. But really everything else made it worth it. And we got a slice of the most delicious almond cake on the way out for free - score!

7/5 stars...yes, it's that good!!…read more Dad was visiting in Lafayette, and wanted to try something new. Found this gem, listed as one of the best pizza places in Indiana, and I was NOT let down. Pros - Service- Our two waitresses who were working and helping all the tables were amazing! Friendly, joking, amazing. - Food- I order a personal meat (thin crust), app of breadsticks, and my Dad got the pepperoni pizza sandwich. All were amazing! Hot, fresh, tons of toppings, and very affordable. - Atmosphere- The atmosphere was great. Fun and had a few funny signs (see below). While this place is small, it is friendly, good, and we'll worth checking out, no matter where you are! Cons None
