I called three times today to ask about an appointment for a wedding that's already been coordinated through them. They hung up on me all 3 times after they heard me say "hello can I make an appointment" the last time I called I tried to explain and the gentleman said I know then hung up again. It is the store that I go to whenever I am in need of some African soap or any other items that simply cannot be located anywhere else. This is the place to go if you require African garb, African hygiene products, or tailoring services for an African outfit. They are a little pricey, but from what I understand, they are imported directly from Africa! I stumbled unto to this store while visiting Chicago. Then you could not get me out out the store. The personnel were so amazingly personal and the products were amazing. I live in Texas and order online and my products always arrive on time without any problems. The products themselves are unbelievable. I have literally stopped using any other lotions. I simply use my "Black Woman " shea butter. I also use the plain shea butter and the African Black soap. I haven't even spoken about the fabrics or the clothes. The colors are beautiful. I just found this hidden gem off 87th Street just east of Stony Island, Chicago, and was very surprised at all of the beautiful and I mean beautiful clothing and material. I spent more than I anticipated and had to stop myself. They have a mix of afrocentric styles of dresses that are contemporary like you find on Pinterest as well as traditional styles and the weight of the material is very nice. I have to admit they are a little pricey but to me its worth it. You will not see yourself coming and going. Also since I am redecorating my home with an afrocentric theme, I found some material in a kente or mudcloth to make pillow covers. They have so many different styles and materials that it is hard to choose what to get. Overall, I am very happy and will be going back. I wanted to update my review fron 1 star to 5. After finally receiving my skirt I absolutely loved it. It fits like a glove, which is nearly impossible to do for my curvy figure.
