I am a stage four cancer survivor with an almost bald head maybe 3/4 inch is growing. It took all my courage to walk into a barber and ask them to neaten up what was growing back. I walked in and took off my hat and asked if they would cut my hair. The man who I assume was the owner said "We don't do women's hair." I was shocked. He then followed that up by bringing up Gray Davis and the fact that he put through laws that separate barbers from stylists. I went back to my car and sat for a minute and started fuming about his unsympathetic and false statement. I looked it up and they cannot do that. They can try and he did succeed but it is absolutely not true. I can't tell you how mean people can be. Don't patronize this place. Please! read more

I went to try it out, after asking how I wanted my hair cut, I was asked to sit down. As you turn away from the mirror toward the wall, you don't get to see how your hair is being cut until after they're done. In my case the barber nearly shaved my head, with a disregard for what I asked for, or how I looked. I'm pretty upset right now. I go to this place often and like the guys. Today, Wednesday, at 2:00 I went in and a red head lady cut my hair. I asked her to just clean it up. She shaved my head BALD! I'm pretty upset. My wife and kids are like what in the hell happened?! We are leaving for New York on Friday. I just wanted to clean up the haircut I had. And the red headed lady barber I've never seen before did this. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. These guys are cheap you can get a quick short no style haircut for 8.00 and a 2.00 tip but don't expect anything special. When and if you can get in cause they always close 20 minutes or 1 hr before their advertised closing time. And for some reason they always lock the door when your walking up they've done it to me and my kids and they dont say sorry or anything for the false advertisement and for shutting down when you try and get here an hr or even 20 minutes before closing. These guys are rude people.I got a haircut by 3 different guys over the last 3 years and the hey just talk to people and take forever just to do a simple cut. Not my haircut place of choice. Looks like a surfer head ( similar length to Shawn Cassidy in the 70's) and we were refused service because the barber said "why should I cut your long hair when it's much easier to cut someone with short hair!" He stated that "If you have to ask, then I am not going to cut your hair- it's policy". He made him sit back down and wait for another barber. My brother was completely shocked but apologized.
