Devon is such a wonderful tour guide; incredibly accommodating and professional. He was really informative about the area. Stopped to let me get a close look at elk and even a moose. We had a lovely lunch at a cafe at the top of the mountains. I loved the weather, it was 80 when we left, then it rained, then it hailed, then it snowed! On the way back, Devon casually tosses out, "Do you like pie?" WHO doesn't like pie?! He stopped at a little place he knows where a woman in her 80's makes homemade pie (Colorado Cherry Company), but unfortunately, it was closed (so whe had to stop for ice cream further down the road). Devon and I talked throughout the entire tour (which was about 7 hours) about books and our love for animals and nature and our lives; as we drove through some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere. It was one of those few days in my life that I will remember and cherish; when you have a great connection with both nature and with another kindred spirit.

We booked 2 tours with him. Pike's Peak/Garden of the Gods 9-19-20 & Rocky Mountain National Park 9-21-20. If I could give him more than Five Stars I would. There are several reasons why these tours worked for our family. 1. He picked us up from our Airbnb. 2. We didn't have to worry about where we were going. 3. We could enjoy the scenery along the way, with no stress, and curbside drop off (or princess parking as my daughters would say). 4. We could enjoy our family time together and we went at our own pace, no rushing to get on a big tour bus for the next stop. 5. If we needed Devon he was there and if we didn't he gave our family space. 6. History about the parks as we went along each tour. 7. Last, but not the least, Devon always had our family's safety in mind, and this experience will last a lifetime!!! Thanks Friend!!

He was knowledgeable and provided lots of information. Lunch was perfect, sandwich, chips and water. Made lots of great stops. On the drive back to Denver we hit traffic and hard rain. He handled it well even with the long day.

We had the good luck to have Michelle, possibly Mary as our guide for the Rocky Mountain National…read morePark tour. The 'possibly Mary' part is a joke. When I said I'd write this up on Yelp, she said her name was Mary. She met us at the flagpole outside of Union Station right on time. One of our party was late and therefore we got a little late start. Once on the road, we got a little history of Denver in general. Informative. We stopped along the way in St. Vrain. Small town. We stopped at a general store for a potty break and of course to purchase. It smelled delicious in there. Sausage, baked goods, etc. Once in the park we had lunch. Turkey sandwiches from the Farmers Market. Good eats. We drove to different spots in the park. Fall colors at the end of their peak, but still gorgeous. We saw many elk. It's rutting time and it was interesting to watch the males steal the women from each other. The elk 'bugle' is kind of neat and creepy. Returning to Denver we were taken through Boulder. Quite the bustling city. It was a great time. Michelle had her iPod filled with various playlists. Most enjoyable. Thanks, Michelle. 10/06/21 Today we tour the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. Our tour guide is Jim, a really laid back and just all around cool guy. We are being transported in a Mercedes Sprinter. Very nice and roomy. We travel through Colorado Springs, see the city and the Air Force academy. The first stop is the garden. Beautiful oxides formations of all shapes and sizes. The fun part was watching a family climb one of these large rocks. Actually, it looked like dad teaching the two kids and mom snapping pics. The kids were no older than 5-8 years old, but they were climbing little monkeys. It was mom making me nervous as she backed up to take the pics. Didn't want to see her topple over the edge. From here we go to Pikes Peak. What a difference in scenery and temperature. The garden was warm at about 75, while the peak was about 38. At the top there is a cafe where you can purchase drinks, food and the best thing of all - daily baked cake doughnuts. Cinnamon sugar or chocolate glazed. 'Chocolate glazed' doesn't do them justice. The icing is thick fudge-like and just awesome. When we checked in at the entrance gate, the ranger said we wouldn't be able to go to the top because of pending weather. But when we got to the point she said we could not go beyond, there was nothing to stop us so we went to the top and doughnuts. Yea!! But mother cold and windy, making the temp feel even colder. But beautiful views. Of course the obligatory souvenir shop is attached to the cafe. Ha, ha. Fun, fun. Jim got us to the top!
