I've been going to this specific store for 10 years. While not regularly you can tell there's a high turnover. I actually just left there and I need two repairs from products purchased at this location. I will not be going back. The two people I interacted with were the definition of being TALKED AT and not talking with. So unprofessional. I was very upfront when I came in, and expressed what I knew and didn't know right away. They asked me the same questions over and over again... clearly not listening. They could've written down spellings or anything but kept asking the same things and no matter how many times I gave an answer or even said I didn't know, they just kept asking. Mind you, when i handed my ring over to show the missing stone they both laughed at it... rude. "Haha yea i can see it". ( Where I work we treat everyone like the spend a million dollars. )They were behind the desk only a couple feet away and it felt like I was being talked about, again instead of being talked to. The woman seemed to be in charge and I was really put off by her comments like "well as I was saying..." you haven't said anything, and I told u NUMEROUS times I didn't have a protection plan! I finally just had to be blunt and say "what is my out of pocket cost?" .... "$450"... more than half the cost of my item and she barely even looked at it neither did he. No explanation given other than "that's why I'm trying to find ur plan"... omg I told u I don't have one! I called another store and she explained why the price was so high. So nice, so upfront. Went here to get my wedding set and husband's wedding band checked....and to try on new rings. It was busy, but a woman I believe was the manager introduced herself and said she would help us. Immediately she pushed us off to another sales girl. The girl checked our and cleaned our rings. While she was doing that, the other woman told her to hurry up with us! We still wanted to try things on, but the girl said nothing as I tried about four rings on. No selling skills whatsoever. I could tell we were a bother, so I guess they don't want our money. I'll shop the small, family owned jeweler in town who actually believes in customer service. read more

This store was TERRIBLE! The manager actually handled the purchase of a wedding band that she promised we would receive by Oct. 25th 2014. We went to pick up our ring and was informed they had a sizing issue and we couldn't get the ring until sometime in December! REALLY!? Didn't you promise it by the 25th of October knowing that we were to be married on November 7th?! Wasn't all this information written on the receipts?! Yes, I do believe it is Kay's Jeweler! You are dealing with peoples very personal events, not just selling jewelry! Customer serviced lied by stating the ring needed a special tool to be resized! That's complete CRAP! This ring is offered online in sizes 8 to 18, there never should have been an issue, you should have ordered the right size and had it ready as promised, instead you were worried about commission for in store sales! COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE! I think a lawyer will be advised to this issue, not only did we not receive the ring as promised but you ruined our WEDDING! read more

Horrible customer service. The women that work there are catty and childish. I needed to get a repair on a charm for a bracelet, that was purchased in February 2014. The associate told me the charm broke because it was on a pandora bracelet. Really?!?! This specific charm can go on any bracelet because it's a slide type. The metal around one side of the openings came undone. Both associates refused to help me and fix the piece of jewelry. read more

My fiancé bought my engagment ring from Kay's. We loved the ring and we have has some great service from great employees. However, my ring has been damaged multiple times by their outside jeweler. First, when they resized the band the band was damaged. Now we have an undamaged band and a chipped diamond. Thank god it is covered through their warranty because at this point we would be paying for a whole new ring. My ring has been off my finger for 1/3 of the time I have had it. It shouldn't be that way. Kay is a great store that's takes care of its customers. However, the damages that have been done to my ring have upset us greatly. read more

This place deserves zero stars. Customer service is absolutely horrible and their jewelry is not guaranteed. The people that work here are very rude and have no customer service skills. Including the "manager" that came over to help was very unprofessional especially when I left the store and all them huddled together talking about me, I could see them through the windows. Just went in to have my wife's wedding ring inspected for warranty purposes. Mind you it has been in several times now for the bottom Soddering breaking after only a few months time. Each time they check the Leo Diamonds number with our Certification card This time when checking the number my wife overheard them saying the number on our Diamond doesn't match the certification. Again I have had it in numerous times for inspection and this is the only time the numbers have not matched. At some point they had to have switched out the main stone on our wedding ring without our consent permission or knowledge. After admitting there was a big issue the lady at the counter had offered to write down what she had though happend. She claimed Day one they would have had to accidentially gave us the wrong certification card( which isn't possible as they read it off the diamond with our cert card in front of us when we purchased it. And it has matched every other time for service) after promising a letter she then called to file a claim with Kay's customer service then refused to write the letter after speaking with them. The managers we have spoken to have been very apologetic and accept there is a big issue but cannot explain why someone at Kay would have done this. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE apparently the rumors in the past are true. I have an email from Kay verifying that the numbers on diamond and our certification are mis matched now and we know they were not in the past. We now have an expensive ring that we hand picked for our wedding with a stone that we did not pick. Thank you Kay you took something very special to my wife and ruined it read more

My boyfriend got me a ring from Kay in February. A week later, the diamond fell out and we went back to get it fixed. Now, less than three months later, the silver started cracking so we went back again to get it fixed. This time, I was unhappy with the quality and I expressed that with the manager. She told me silver is weak and I should've gotten gold. What? Why would she sell people silver if this is what is going to happen? The ring seemed faulty to me. The manager pressed on about how I should've gotten gold and it was my fault that the ring was breaking. Then, after blaming me and having an attitude about it, she asked me if I wanted a kay jewelers credit card. I said no and whispered to my boyfriend that we will go somewhere else for Jewelry in the future. The manager said "What are you whispering about? I want to know." She made it seem like she was joking but she had an attitude and she knew it wasn't something good. It was very immature. I will never go back to a Kay Jewelers in the future because of the quality of the Jewelry and the customer service. read more

Beyond disappointed with the repair! For the whole of my adult life I have only ever worn one piece of jewelry, my wedding ring. It is simple, and small, and perfect for me but after 16 years one part of the band had broken. I took it to Kay Jewelers thinking that a large, respected chain would take care of my ring and get the work done efficiently. Unfortunately, after $335 and nearly a month of time my ring looks horrible and all I want to do is cry. They basically cut apart the delicate, beautiful bands and stuck a thick, wide chunk of metal in it's place then sized it too small. The bottom of the band is as thick and wide as the top of the band which is not even close to what it was when I brought it in not to mention the fact that it already looks dented in multiple spots and I have had it back for 30 minutes. The woman working at the store said it was what they needed to do to make sure that it didn't break again but I am convinced she was making excuses for the horrible work they did on it. Please do not take your jewelry to this store for repairs unless you want to pay way too much, have it take twice as long as they say to get fixed, and have it come back looking horrible. read more
