I have a handful of watches that I just wanted batteries put in, a Skaagen and Movado watch that I wanted batteries, cleaned also fully appraised because of their value, a couple expensive pocket watches, and some random jewelry that I received from my grandfather. My grandparents didn't buy cheap jewelry over the years. So I wanted someone to take a look and give me an idea of value for my lawyers and for insurance. I was talking to a lovely lady who told me the price of their services and asked if I could leave everything and they would take care of it and determine what was worth anything and what is just sentimental and would take care of the watches. Then Scott Rettmer stepped in and proceeded to make me feel like crap for wasting their time. Told me that he wouldn't buy any of my items and I was just wasting their time. I was floored. I was willing to spend my money for their services and was happy to be patient, and then Scott stepped in and lost a good customer. I have a friend who is a jeweler in Wray, CO and, despite them being 2 1/2 hours away, I will gladly take my business there where they care about their customers!
