I sent an email to Kaufmann De Suisse and received a quick response. I spoke with the owner, Monica on the phone to discuss the process to have a diamond pendant sent to GIA for certification. She explained the entire process with me. We set up a date/time for me to come into the store. When I arrived at the store she was most pleasant. She spent a great deal of time looking at the diamond pendant, and suggested that I forgo a GIA certification. She spent time letting me know everything about the diamond and completed research right in front of me. I first met Monica a few years ago when she had a store on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach. I was window shopping with my Boston Terrier and decided to go in. She yelled "Don't bring that dog in here!" I immediately got a bad vibe from her. Be careful of people who don't like dogs. She is now in Delray Beach on a side street. The store is in a bad location and her demeanor is worse than ever. She said something to me about a former employee that was mean and thoughtless. There are better places to purchase jewelry. Stay away from this place and especially Monica! read more

Not worth one star... I went in today to determine if the jeweler could quickly clean my band and ring. I rushed in between meetings with my ann taylor joggers, penn state shirt, and a baseball hat on. Ignorant is the nicest word to describe the lady working. I greet the employee "Hi can you please clean my band and ring". She states to me "I only can clean well made rings". Granted she DIDNOT even see or inspect my ring. This was the first thing she said to me. No hello... Astonished, to be clearly judged by my appearance. I requested the gentleman standing there to open their TSA doors, so I could leave. On my way out I did educate the juvenile jeweler, that this 3 carat VVS1 engagement ring is actually custom made by Browns the South African designer, and my 2 carat band is a custom made piece by JORGE ADELER himself... In attempt to what I assume was to justify her rude comment, she replies "Well I don't know, I clean rings all the time and have diamonds flying everywhere. So I have to ask". As Julia Roberts in her role Pretty Woman might say "Big mistake, big..huge" As a new resident to Delray this is my first poor experience in the neighborhood. I'm hopeful that other owners, employees and community members don't exemplify this behavior.. read more
