Truck #138 is so irresponsible on the road. Cut us off on the turn pike so badly we had to slam on our brakes to keep from hitting him and there being an accident. If you are representing a company you should do so a little better. Sadly I'm sure this will go nowhere because sadly don't care anymore until a serious accident occurs, but there easily could've been and if your driver was more responsible it would help!! read more

Money grubbers. Vehicle was in an accident, they removed from traffic and took it to their lot, which was fine. We released car to insurance, insurance company called another towing company to take car to body shop. Kauff's refused to release the car to the towing company because Kauff's was also on the insurance's approved list and they wanted the towing fee for themselves. I unsuccessfully tried to get my Dad's car out of their car jail. Three different people told me I could use his property power of attorney (POA) but today a foolish employee refused it. My Dad has been hospitalized for over a month and asked me to take care of this for him. He signed the POA in 1995 and the notary's stamp expired in 1997. She stupidly said the POA expired which is incorrect. Kauff needs better employee training. She was on the phone with a supervisor asking what to do. Both of them were in the wrong. Every other interaction with a Kauff employee was positive. She insisted my Dad fill out the form and have it notarized even though he is in the hospital. Another customer said the hospital should have notaries for patients. Hope she is right. read more

I have a car that was sitting in My driveway for two days waiting for AAA to tow to Firestone. 48 hours later and the car hadn't moved. Kauffs saved us! We were stranded at Ft. Drum service area and luckily got a taxi to drive us home to Delray. AAA could not get our dead SUV without the keys and wanted us there, plus they could not provide a time. They were having trouble helping us. We called Kauffs and already, I sent them the necessary paperwork. They do not need us there to retrieve our SUV and will drop it off at the dealership. They were prompt, kind and professional. I called and arranged transport for my Can-Am Spyder to be towed to the repair shop. It had no electrical power and was stuck in Park. I explained to the person on the phone that the wheels would not turn and it was stuck in park. The driver showed up completely unprepared. Apparently dispatch did not relay that information. I had to wait an additional hour for a second truck to show up. Additionally, they charged me an additional $50 for THEIR MISTAKE. This would be 1 star, except that the driver was courteous and professional. He delivered my Spyder in with no issues. read more

Absolutely horrible service. The guy called me 3 times to confirm the spot ,which wasn't that hard considering it was directly on the exit ramp on i95(which i clarified multiple times). I had to take an exam and i was already late(which i already told him) so I left a note on the windshield leaving TWO separate numbers to call. He proceeded to blow up my phone with calls after i told him i could not take calls because i was in an exam. He then sent me a message saying "Guess you don't want your car towed" after i gave him clear instructions and left the key. This whole time , my girlfriend was trying to get ahold of him and he wasn't answering. Very rude and unprofessional. read more

The guy was so discombobulated he did not even have a flashlight at 10 pm to get me into my car and i has to use my phone. Then he asked me for a cigarette or $6.00 to go buy some. The next day or so I looked at my car and it was all messed up where he want in because of no light. I called my insurance and they reached out to Jean at Kauffs. Jean promised the world and he was so sorry told me he's call me the next week and send out a $100 visa gift card. Next week came and no card and no Jean. If I could leave a -100 I would. I have never used this company before, and most definitely will never recommend anyone I know to use it. I just experienced an issue with a tow truck driver less than an hour ago. I sat in my car, waiting for my cousin to return from out of BP on 44th off broadway and the tow truck driver thought it was very funny to come at full speed towards my car, ended up only being a few inches from slamming into my front bumper and blocking my car in to where I couldn't get out, I proceeded to asked how I'm going to get out, he quickly, showed me the middle finger when getting out the truck and closed his truck door, then I asked him could he turn off his lights off because I wear glasses ( common sense should of told him that) he pretended he didn't speak any English and mocked what I said and also ignored what I said, and left the lights on and went into the store. With that being said, Your company is supposed to be about helping others, not blinding people who already can barely see or treating people differently when you feel like it. For the record, I never met that man before in my life, and license number on the front of the truck was E19048!!!!!!!!!! read more
