My family and I have brought several vehicles over the years for repairs. The work previously was satisfactory. My daughter recently took her vehicle to get a bumper repaired, several months later the bumper came back off. I personally contacted the owner and he informed me that they are not able to fix the bumper as she re-damaged again and it is not included under warranty. The owner charged $400.00 (second time around), and the vehicle still had damage to the paneling. I inquired as to why my daughter's vehicle was not completely repaired, Ray became hostile and said that we only paid for a certain part to be repaired. My daughter spent approximately $2,500.00 dollars total for a bumper that has not been repaired. Unfortunately, this issue has escalated and we have no choice but to file a civil claim so that we can get this issue resolved. As a mother of a young daughter who is the owner of the vehicle, the entire situation has been disheartening and frustrating for her. My car was involved in a accident and my insurance company (GEICO) sent me to Collision 2000 for repairs. When I arrived at the shop and filled out the paper work they had a car rental waiting for me (ENTERPRISE) all done in a very short time frame. They informed me they would have an estimate of damage for the repairs and approximately how long my car would be in the shop. This estimate with many photos and keeping me informed of the progress. The complete repair of my car and returned to me for pickup was a total of 6 working days. I was more than completely satisfied with the repairs, courtesy and professionalism of the staff (owner) and mechanics who repaired my vehicle. Well, unfortunately for me, I definitely would NOT recommend Collision 2000 body shop! I stopped by their shop almost 3 weeks ago and met with the owner Ray and one of his techs about getting the frame straightened on my truck. Ray came across as easy going and willing to help me. He and his tech looked over my truck and his tech determined that he could straighten my frame. I was excited, as I wanted to get this truck repaired so I could hand it down to my son! I left my phone number with Ray and he said he'd call me back by the next day with an estimate cost to straighten the frame. Well, almost a week went by and I hadn't heard back from him, so I called him and inquired if he had a price quote for me yet, to which he replied in a "laid back" response that no, he'd been swamped and hadn't had a chance to get with his tech and put a price together for me yet. I figured ok, no problem (I wanted to believe him), and I asked Ray to call me as soon as possible as I wanted to get going on the repair. He said he'd call me soon. Well, another week + went by and I hadn't heard from him, so I called him one more time last week. Ray replied AGAIN in a "no rush/laid back" attitude that he still hadn't had a chance yet to sit down with his tech and put a price together for the repair. I then politely asked him if he was really interested in doing the job for me, and if not I understood and I wouldn't bother him anymore and move on. He replied ok and assured me that he'd get back to me with an estimate. I said ok, no problem.... Well, AGAIN, another week went by and I hadn't received a call from Ray about an estimate! I mean, really, how long should it take for him to figure out a cost to straighten my frame!? AT THIS POINT I could wait no longer. I found another REPUTABLE shop to straighten out the frame on my truck and by the end of the SAME week no less, the frame was straightened! Here I waited and WASTED almost 3 weeks JUST to get a QUOTE from this guy and it took the other shop owner just 5 minutes to provide me with a quote after looking over my truck! I mean really, what B.S.! Yes, Ray comes across as an "easy going/laid back" shop owner, but his word is USELESS to me as a potential customer. Therefore, I would NEVER recommend Collision 2000 for any estimate request, cause you might get "blown off" like I did! ZERO customer service. NO GOOD! ;-( V/r, Lenny W. read more
