We got there at a good time line was minimal and we brought the crowd with us once again lol. Honestly didnt know what to get because I was overwhelmed by all the different choices available everything looked so good but I always have a default 2choice poke bowl with anything spicy ahi, and got there gingah spread ahi. You can also choose different toppings for your bowl and of course why not get all of them to compliment the fresh poke even more. The ahi was super fresh and ONO (delicious) melt in your mouth kine action so soft. This is one of those stops when you first land "next stop lawai'a" lol iykyk. 300

There was a small line when we arrived, but it moved very quickly. Decided to get their 2 choice poke bowl - with all rice, poke choices I got were da ginger one & spicy ahi.. and of course I got all the toppings (which are included). My poke bowl was super good. Da ginger one poke was by far my favorite!! Can tell the fish is super fresh since it has that melt in your mouth texture that every local craves. This is definitely gonna be my first stop on my next visit back to Kauai!

Wow. What a gem of a place we spontaneously stumbled into. We must have arrived at a great (and…read morelucky) time because there was only one person ahead of us, and we got our food relatively fast. We ordered the beer battered shrimp, garlic shrimp, and cajun shrimp, and all three exceeded expectations. For the price, I was genuinely shocked by the quantity given. I came in expecting to order more, but it was very plentiful and well-priced. My only feedback is that I wished the cajun shrimp had a bit more of a kick. The extra heat was there, but I found myself wanting just a little more. Medium spice would have probably been my sweet spot. No notes on the garlic shrimp though, as it delivered exactly as described. That garlic and olive oil combination? Yum. The beer battered shrimp, however, was surprisingly good. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. It was simple, yet perfect. Think Long John Silver's fried shrimp, but better, done right, and insanely good. Here's a fun fact: we actually only ordered two plates the first time, loved it so much that we went back and ordered another. Yes, it was that good. As I'm typing this review back at home, I'm already salivating thinking about going back for another bite. Overall, this place was phenomenal and we'd return in a heartbeat. I'm aware it tends to get busy, and we definitely got lucky with our timing. Note: the food is great, but I personally wouldn't wait in a long line for it. That said, if there are only one or two people ahead of you, absolutely swing by. And beyond the food, the staff, from the cashier to everyone in the back, were a total delight and made the whole experience feel warm and homey.

Costco is the place to go to reduce the overwhelming costs of inflation. Granted- it is still…read moreexpensive and I have notice my purchased went from $250 a week to $400 plus. Still it is obviously the best place to get the most for your buck. Our location has some distinct qualities that you may want to know before you go. 1) this is a local gathering place, if your expecting a Costco-RAT-Race, like the mainland, think again. People often stop to give hugs and aloha to friends they see, staying to chat in inconvenient areas to tourist (I am totally guilty of this, and I love seeing my friends, students and their families- you just got to send them your "ALOHA") This may be annoying to some people, but it is a way of life here- so just be happy to have a little slice of aloha. 2) they don't always have stock- Tuesdays are a great day to go. Lastly, 3) checking out. If you choose to self-check out... you may be confused. As it stands now, and for a really long time, there is one line to stand in for 3 lanes of check out. Is it logical: no. Does it confuse visitors and even people like me: yes. For some reason, Costco wants all self-checkout folks to stand in one line and then go calmly and orderly to whichever of the 3 checkout lane openings is free. This really confuses visitors, and sometimes even leaves them with stink eye or scoldings from the locals. After all, those who live on Kauai have been trained to the 1 line system. About 1/2 the time, there is a staff that alerts the next person to go to the available self-check out, but where they are not there, or need to assist someone with self-checkout or review and ID for alcohol: they are not there. I am really not sure why they have kept this single line system, rather than having 3 lines, but I guess there must be some reason for this. Does anyone know? 4) Please be kind to the staff, offer some aloha to them- Q, Carry and Deb are some of my favorite folks. Costco always tolerates me coming in costume as Darth Vadar and Princess Leia. This Costco is part of the aloha experience- please treat it with love. ***** If you are an executive member- this Costco is opening earlier for you! Make sure you check the times, this Saturday they opened at 8:45am and weekdays they open at 9am for the Executive Members. Enjoy and alooooha!
