We decided to rent e-bikes on our last day in Kauai since we had a late flight. Thankfully, Kauai E-Bikes was located very close to our hotel, the Sheraton Kauai Resort. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and had no trouble finding parking. The shop is tucked in a convenient shopping plaza with plenty of restaurants and shops - perfect for grabbing a bite or browsing after a bike ride. What really made this experience great was the service we got from the owner, Robert. Pricing was very reasonable for a 2-hour rental, and helmets were included, even though they were required anyway. The ride itself was beautiful--lots of scenic views, and we easily had enough battery to cover several miles. The bikes had great speed and throttle and were really easy to use. The bikes were very good with great throttle and speed. We had an amazing time and enjoyed our bike ride through Kauai and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the island. In fact, we initially tried to rent from Pedego Electric Bikes Poipu. We called ahead, and they confirmed they were open, but when we arrived, the doors were unlocked and no one was inside the office. We waited for 10 minutes and no staff ever showed up, so we left. Thankfully, Kauai E-Bikes welcomed us right away and we were taken care of immediately. Very fast and efficient paperwork processing and then we were off enjoying our ride. The owner said don't worry if we're weren't back in exactly 2 hours. They were so generous but we came back 15 minutes earlier than expected. read more

Highly recommend renting from this locally owned business. Coming off the cruise ship we had the whole day to explore Kauai. We had a group of seven so we decided to rent E-bikes and go exploring. We got to meet the owners who were very welcoming and pleasant. Really love the Hawaiian hospitality and environment they provided. All the beautiful places they recommended we enjoyed. Great customer service! The E-bikes were very fun and easy to ride. It took us less than a minute to learn how to use them. All bikes came with locks which came in handy when we went into shops and restaurants. Our group had such a great time. We'll definitely be back. read more

The Kauaʻi E-Bikes team prepared us for action from start to finish--showing us all the ropes from teaching our group how to operate their fancy, well-maintained Aventon bikes, to giving us pointers on what gorgeous nearby routes to take. It was my first time e-biking, and what I worried might've tired me out was an absolute breeze with the automatic features! We rented bikes yesterday for 4 hours. It was me, my wife, and our 17 yr old son. We put over 35 miles on the bikes going up and down hills, with traffic, to all the beaches in Poipu, and even looked at some of the new houses being built in the new developments in the area. As a past professional BMX racer and current 51+ racer, the bikes are not designed for jumping or off-road and are not high end, but they were great for cruising with the family. We met the Owners Joy and Robert at the shop working hard to keep their costumers safe and well informed on the bikes. read more

AWESOME - the bikes were great as was making a reservation and getting fitted the day of. Was a fun 4 hours. They have a good selection of bikes which was really important for me being 6'7" tall. Only suggestion to improve the experience is to install signs that get you to the Hapa Trail. We wasted way too much time trying to find it on our own. read more

These guys started their company because they didn't like the service of other e bike rental companies on Kauai, and if my experience was typical, they will blow the completion away. First, a great website made it easy to choose the bike I wanted, and the price was very reasonable. The bike was top of the line and brought directly to me at my hotel (this will most likely change now that they've moved into their new store in Koloa town).
