I saw this ENT last week for throat discomfort, but I left feeling offended by her unprofessionalism. Her attitude was dismissive and patronizing, complete with condescending facial expressions and an odd, repetitive head-tilt. She acted more like a judgmental teenager than a medical professional. I saw Dr Chaung with complaints of difficulty swallowing, feeling of object in throat, coughing and choking. She ordered a CT scan which showed a nodule on my thyroid. No one from her office called me with the results or to schedule a follow up appointment . I scheduled one. When I saw her she dismissed the nodule saying it was insignificant and could not be causing my symptoms. When I mentioned that the office had not contacted me she said "they don't do that. We consider our patients are grown ups and are responsible for their own follow up. We can't notify everyone we order tests on." She said I needed to have a barium swallow test and she would order it. When I called the testing facility, she had ordered an ultrasound of the thyroid. I didn't appreciate her attitude and certainly don't agree that all patients are able to be responsible for their own follow up. read more

Dr. Chaung is great, but her staff is an absolute nightmare. There are no appointment confirmations -- they're not on an app like My Health, and you don't even get a text confirmation when an appointment is booked. I showed up today for an appointment Dr. Chaung's front desk staff rescheduled on Friday for "Monday", and they told me we were a week early -- that our appointment is for Monday, December 30, not Monday, December 23. The reason we had to reschedule is a whole other story -- we showed up late to our appointment on Friday morning after calling to let the office we know we were late. The person on the phone had told us to come in, and then we were turned away by the front desk staff because they said their "answering service took the call and didn't know their policy that if a patient is more than 5 minutes late, the appointment gets canceled"... unbelievable. There was no apology from the staff for the issues on their end and lack of communication from their answering service to their front desk. And this was after they had rescheduled our appointment from the day before at the last minute because the doctor "had a meeting come up." We'd had the appointment on the books for months. I have never written a negative review about a healthcare provider, and this is the first time I've decided to do so. Camino ENT has been absolutely horrendous, and while I really do like Dr. Chaung and find her to be highly professional and extremely good at what she does (as an ENT and as a doctor who is really great with kids), I can't put my special needs child through another experience with her staff. It takes a tremendous amount of effort to get him out the door and work through the anxiety of going to a doctor's office, and we've now been turned away twice with zero remorse on the staff's side. read more

Do not trust Katrina and her billing department. Her assistant Laura Bautista is just as bad. This place is a scam. I have a deviated septum and was going in to get screened to determine if surgery was necessary. The appointment was 15 minutes and Katrina quickly confirmed that my septum was deviated and surgery was necessary to fix. This was something that we both knew prior to the visit, so the screening was merely a formality. At no point during the visit was cost discussed and my assumption that because we were there for a preliminary screening, costs would be reasonable. For my 15 minute screening appointment the bill came out to $1,537.00. That's $100 per minute haha I have called Bass Medical group and the doctor's office to dispute the bill and was hung up on by both after saying there was nothing they could do. How she can justify springing this bill on a new patient I do not understand. I have already started the process of disputing the bill. Just wanted to pass this along. If anyone is concerned with the cost of healthcare in the US we've got case in point right here. She's the problem. read more

Disappointing and similar to experience of several others on Yelp. Doc spent little time listening, gave me a basic lecture on ENT anatomy, said I wouldn't have the problem I've been experiencing based on anything she saw, and told me to use an OTC nasal spray. I'm there because I've experienced a problem. I got no help but I did get treated like a child and my problems were ignored/minimized. Waste of time and a bad interpersonal experience. read more

My issues are the same as the other 1* reviews listed AND they apparently charged me a high amount that is questionable. I say "apparently" because I never received a bill from her (saw her in 2020), only a call from a collections agency in 2025. Very suspicious. At a minimum, this is negligence on their part. On top of that, Chaung took all of five minutes to see me and tell me there was nothing she could do for me. No explanations about my issues. Nothing. Just jumped in and jumped out. i was asked to reschedule the appointment after waiting for 20 minutes. This is not first time that it happens to this doctor, I saw the other commenter got the same experience. Don't go with this doctor! This is really bad experience. My appointment is 10:30am and then I came in around 10:40am (parking is tricky here), the front desk had me checked in, signed the docs etc and ask me to sit and wait to be called. Then I waited until 10:55am only to be informed that the doctor cannot see me because it's too late now!! What? How could you blame like that??!! I know I shouldn't be late for that 10 minute but if you cannot do my appointment then what's the whole point of asking me to signing in at 10:40am And kept me waiting 20 minute just to kick me out?? read more

I am kind of blown away that anyone that had seen Dr. Freehling could give Dr. Chaung anything but 5 stars. Dr. Chaung is kind, listens to what's going on, walks you through anything and everything she may be doing, and has a wonderful bedside manner. She's helped me with a couple of issues with my ear and throat the last 6 months, and I am extremely happy with her care. read more

As per Nolan in his review. Mine is the same, as I came as a new patient for a constant runny nose. I said I've taken meds and nothing helped. She spent less than 10 minutes and looked into my nose (as I would expect). She prescribed a spray that was a combo of the one I already was taking. that was it. My bill was $936. I was floored as she didn't do a thing for me, still have the runny nose. I was not informed that looking into my nose would be $539 and the rest, just the visit. I have contacted Bass (their billing service) and they are of no help just send me more bills. I had insurance but I'm on the hook for $580, insurance paid $103 the rest was adjusted. If I had known I'd be paying for a look in my nose that lasted 5 seconds, I'd have left right then and there!! They don't tell you of the hidden costs but all the forms you have to do (who reads those) say if she wants to do anything she will and you have to pay for it. Find but let me know when that is!!! Do not go to this doctor! It is seriously unethical what they do there. I'm going to put a claim in the BBB as my next step read more

Visited Dr. Chaung for a consultation recently, I've found her to be thorough in her analysis and diagnoses. She listened attentively and offered sound and sensible medical advice. The transition from Dr. Freehling to a new provider was clumsy. There was no letter sent to existing patients. The staff says she's retired and "not coming back", but her name plate is on the front door and a web search says she's "semi" retired. Hmmm... On top of that, Dr. Chaung basically admitted she can't read my history chart (surgery, past sinus infections, allergy work up...), so I'm like a new patient. I might as well go anywhere. I have better records than she does. The new doctor seems quite competent and has a nice manner. However, she should know not every patient is a surgical case. A painful sinus infection does not need a surgical workup, CT scans (suggested), etc. She had a new trick to scope my nose with "noodles"; not sure how useful it was, but alone they added $272.01 cash bill *after* insurance adjustment. Plus normal fees the previous doctor would have charged for a total of $347.01 for an antibiotic prescription. At this rate, I'd try another office next time. Perhaps she's over analyzing while she gains experience but that's tough to fund. read more

She is the worst ENT doctor I have ever been to. I told her I was having trouble swallowing and tightness in my throat for the past six months and I thought it was because of a big tonsil stone that I have recently discovered. She took a look in my mouth for about one minute and was like there is no stone and I don't see it. She also said that even if I did have a stone (WHICH I DID BECAUSE I CAN SEE IT) that it wouldn't cause me discomfort in my throat. I felt like she was trying to rush my appointment and didn't take enough time to understand my issue. The duration of my appointment was about 15 minutes. When I received the bill I was very dissappointed since it was around $400 for getting absolutely nothing. She is not caring or patient and I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. read more
