I saw Dr. Arnstein today. He was both thorough and knowledgeable. I highly recommended.

Arnstein isn't a "hand holding" "sit at your bedside" type of doctor but that is not what I need in a doctor/surgeon.

He is very detail-oriented, and besides your issue takes the time to understand how it fits into your larger health problems. Yes, the appointment took a long time to schedule initially, and due to my urgency of needing to see an ENT had made appointments with three different providers, Dr. Sajjadi being one of them. I finally linked all my myChart accounts and say multiple messages from Dr. Sajjadi regarding among other items an abnormal Vitamin D test result. He must have sent me two or three different messages over the course of a long time period, he was probably unaware that my mom was diagnosed with a very serious terminal cancer and I had stopped going to any medical appointments myself. After she passed and now that I'm starting to get back to my care, keep in mind I see more than eight different specialtist providers at UCSF in addition to primary care. Not one of them, even the other three ents I'd seen around the same time had actually taken the time to evaluate my labs. Because Dr. Sajjadi caught something that I feel is actually pretty basic but no one else did, I ended up feeding all my blood work into chatGPT, and as a result of that was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. If it wasn't for his multiple messages regarding the importance of addressing the vitamin D issue and doing a follow-up with gastroenterology, I think my medical situation would be even more hopeless. I can't comment on the staff, even the scheduling being distant, but this man is a true doctor. He reminds me a lot of my dad and his colleagues. The old school doctors that actually cared about your health and doing everything they could, not just bilking your insurance. Reimbursement rates are so low, it's tough to blame them. At least here you get quality Care. This is not something I can say for most providers. I'm going to attempt a follow-up with him.

If his staff weren't so difficult, I'd rate the practice 5stars. I've seen Dr Sajaddi only twice (as a result of his staff), but I've attempted to see him on two occasions which were urgent. Once, I had a 3rd degree burn on the roof of my mouth (per my dentist) that became infected, and then the infection spread up to my right sinus cavity. My dentist suggested I see an ENT. I explained the situation to Dr Sajaddi's staff and was told they couldn't get me in until 2 months & to go to the ER. I asked if they could possibly fit me in, to which they replied that it "would be unfair to their other patients". This was a first for me. I rarely have urgent conditions, but other doctors' schedulers have fit me in for the few occasions in which it has occurred. The first unsuccessful attempt to get an appointment was for vertigo. My primary care physician referred me to Dr Sajaddi and, even though my dr called Dr Sajaddi's office twice specifically requesting they fit me in, I had to wait weeks. When I finally did see Dr Sajaddi, he was very helpful. The issue is that, when the vertigo has returned, his staff has consistently told me that I can't get an appointment for at least 2 months. Maybe I've simply been unlucky. As much as I'd prefer to have Dr Sajaddi as my ENT, trying to get an appointment to see Dr Sajaddi isn't worth the frustration of having to deal with his staff.

Their claim was that they provide much better service, repair, warranty, etc. Their claim was BS. The hearing aid worked great for about a year and when they started acting weird I called to make an appointment for their great follow up service, they were booked out around 2 months. They contacted me a day or two before my appointment to reschedule, again another two months out. They rescheduled that appointment also. Ultimately it took over six months to ge an appointment. They performed some software updates and changes to the programming to see if that helped. It did not. So I called for another appointment. I called and left a message 5 times over 3 weeks before they finally called me back to schedule. Now they are sending my hearing aids back to the manufacturer for service and I received loaner hearing aids that are 3 or 4 generations back. Their top notch service, repair, and support, doesn't exist. Go to Costco and get a similar set of hearing aids for around 20% of the price.

Mind you, my mom is 74 years old and everything at this age just takes extra time.  We were expecting to be treated with empathy and consideration.   This was not the experience we had here at all. After a few minutes, the front desk receptionist told my mom to "Hurry up to finish completing the forms!"   This was already surprising because I didn't expect for them to treat my mom with such harshness.   It was then that  the medical assistant came out and rushed my mom to come inside the room with the forms not being completed at all. My mom told the receptionist that she was not done with the forms and her harried response to her was "You can finish them on the way out." The medical assistant then came and asked my mom to follow her into the exam room.   As my mom was going in the room, she abruptly yelled for my mom to  "take a seat."  Surprised at her obvious rudeness with my mom, my Dad then asked her "why are you so loud?" She responded with a harsh stare and no response at all.  When asked what her name was, she said "Mida" and did not bother to look up from what she was doing.    In my mind I was already thinking, is this how you treat 74 year old patients?  Unacceptable.   Mida took my mom's blood pressure and pulse rate. After taking her vital signs, she asked my mom to "Go to the scale" with the same demanding voice.  She didn't even bother to take off the pulse rate instrument including blood pressure cuffs.  My mom was a little dumbfounded at this point because usually the equipment is taken off first. Did Mida expect her to do this herself? My mom then asked her  "Do you want me to drag this pulse rate kit to step onto the scale?"   It was only then that Mida took the pulse rate kit off of my Mom.   When my mom actually go to see Dr Margaret Carter, it was only 4 minutes total.  Complete waste of our time and energy to only be treated like crap.  Hoping this review helps some of the rest of you if you ever need to choose an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist.  I'm writing this because no one deserves to be treated like this.   Especially my 74 year old parents.

I called them today June 11th, I called them hoping maybe they had a cancellation, and they told me that since they are no longer going to be taking my insurance as of July 21, they're not seeing any new patients with my insurance. Apparently, they knew this three months before July 21, but still let me make my first appointment, and they said they're only calling people a week before to let them know that their appointment is canceled. I just got lucky because I called earlier. So their plan was to just let me sit there until right before my damn appointment to let me know I had to look for a different ENT. They said they're too busy to let everyone know that scheduled. These people care so little about the well-being of their fellow humans that you sit there for months thinking you have an appointment and knowing that you're not actually going to get to have it. They don't care about your health issues or what's going to happen to you now that you have to go and look for an entirely new ENT and wait the four or five months it takes to get in. I need a procedure in order to fly for a very important medical appointment, that I now can't make because they were so careless as to not let me know my appointment was not happening. Please everyone steer clear of this place if I have to find a place out of network, because they didn't give me time to find another doctor, I will be bringing them to small claims court for whatever my out-of-pocket costs are.

Dr. Sajjadi's office is located near Good Samaritan Hospital on the second floor of a two story medical building. His office is located away from Samaritan Drive, but if you follow the signs for his address it will lead you there. My first visit with Dr. Sajjadi was the day after Christmas. I was surprised any medical office would be open that week. My visit was to find out more about some sinus problems I had been suffering from. I arrived about 15 minutes early to fill-out the required paperwork for first-timers. There were about 3 others waiting in the lobby. The doctor was running behind by about 10 minutes finishing up with another patient. Dr. Sajjadi is very personable, and after his diagnosis discussed possible treatment plans. He gave me some sample prescriptions to try and made another appointment for 30 days later. My second visit to Dr. Sajjadi's office it was completely different from the first. I arrived a couple of minutes early and the lobby was completely filled with patients waiting, probably 12 people (some parents there with kids). I checked in and found the last available seat in the corner. I started reading a magazine and could hear that other patients were still waiting and it was 30 minutes passed their schedule appointment. I was on my fourth magazine when I was finally called, just about 45 minutes after my appointment time. From there I sat in a exam room for another 15 minutes or so waiting. I don't mind the wait, as there can be unseen circumstances, but the receptionist should give patients an idea of how far behind they are running for the afternoon, so other engagements and commitments can be rescheduled or delayed. I have enjoyed Dr. Sajjadi's service and knowledge and believe he is a very good doctor. Hopefully, my next visit will be more on schedule.

I actually chose a couple of doctors before but ended up canceling both times. Finally, after more searching, I found Dr. Kristina Hobson in Los Gatos. To be honest, when I first walked into her office, I was already looking for an excuse to cancel again. But once I spoke with her, I was really impressed with her knowledge and the way she explained everything, so I decided to keep my appointment. Today was my procedure at Silicon Valley Surgery Center, and I had such a great experience. The facility was clean, calm, and very nice. Every single person I interacted with was wonderful. From the front desk to Barbara, who helped review my paperwork everyone was kind and welcoming. My first nurse, Kay, was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and professional. When she went on break, Nicole took over she was also amazing. I'm not a fan of needles at all, but she did my IV so gently and with so much care. Then Kat, the third nurse, took me to the procedure room she was kind, calm, and very professional. Dr. Michael Block, the anesthesiologist, was excellent. He actually texted me the night before to ask if I wanted to review everything ahead of time or on the day of the procedure, which I really appreciated. We exchanged a few messages, and then he spoke with me again before the procedure and explained everything clearly. He was confident, knowledgeable, and very reassuring. In the procedure room, I fell asleep within seconds and woke up quickly afterward feeling great. Within about 30 minutes, I felt completely fine. I was even able to take calls and respond to emails. And now, about Dr. Hobson ,she is truly a 10 out of 10. Honestly, the entire experience was 10 out of 10. From the office to the surgery center, every single nurse and staff member was exceptional. I'm a very detail-oriented and perfectionist person because of my job, so I don't say this lightly. Something I was so scared of and postponed for 5 years turned into such a smooth and positive experience. Thank you to everyone
