He is very detail-oriented, and besides your issue takes the time to understand how it fits into your larger health problems. Yes, the appointment took a long time to schedule initially, and due to my urgency of needing to see an ENT had made appointments with three different providers, Dr. Sajjadi being one of them. I finally linked all my myChart accounts and say multiple messages from Dr. Sajjadi regarding among other items an abnormal Vitamin D test result. He must have sent me two or three different messages over the course of a long time period, he was probably unaware that my mom was diagnosed with a very serious terminal cancer and I had stopped going to any medical appointments myself. After she passed and now that I'm starting to get back to my care, keep in mind I see more than eight different specialtist providers at UCSF in addition to primary care. Not one of them, even the other three ents I'd seen around the same time had actually taken the time to evaluate my labs. Because Dr. Sajjadi caught something that I feel is actually pretty basic but no one else did, I ended up feeding all my blood work into chatGPT, and as a result of that was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. If it wasn't for his multiple messages regarding the importance of addressing the vitamin D issue and doing a follow-up with gastroenterology, I think my medical situation would be even more hopeless. I can't comment on the staff, even the scheduling being distant, but this man is a true doctor. He reminds me a lot of my dad and his colleagues. The old school doctors that actually cared about your health and doing everything they could, not just bilking your insurance. Reimbursement rates are so low, it's tough to blame them. At least here you get quality Care. This is not something I can say for most providers. I'm going to attempt a follow-up with him.

Not being able too get through via the phone, I went to the office. I was told that the office manager would consider my case to see if Dr. Sajjadi would see me, and they that would get back to me. They did not. When I called three days later for follow up, a receptionist told me she would ask Dr. Sajjadi himself and get back to me; she did not. Two days later, I called again and got a different receptionist; she told me she would ask the doctor and call me later that day. She did not. One week later, I gave up. What is troubling here is that I wasted a full week, dealing with my issues, while the office did not offer me the simple courtesy of responding to my request for services. The right hand did not seem to be talking to the left hand in this office. I've never seen such unprofessionalism.

Not only he is a professional ENT doctor, but also connects to the patient with different types of topics, sports, politics... you name it. I really appreciated the doctor-patient relationship he tried to establish. Three weeks ago, I went through a sinus surgery performed by Dr. Ho. It was a very successful operation. There weren't any negative side effects like nausea, high fever, continuous nose bleeding, headache.... that some patients had experienced. Due to an age concern, Dr. Ho suggested me to stay one night in the hospital. Not only giving me peace of mind but also helping in my post-op recovery. I no longer need the blood drip pad which was put on my nose to prevent bleeding out, about 3~4 days after the surgery. I followed every step of the post-op instructions that Dr. Ho provided me, by doing saline water rinse six times a day, no coffee/alcohol, no hot shower, sleeping w/double pillows.... these helped a lot for my recovery. On the 1st follow-up visit one week after the surgery, Dr. Ho cut off the stitch inside my nose and removed two plastic splinters as well. I felt an immediate release. Not only breathing naturally but also having my sense of smell back (this was something that worried me after surgery). I can't describe how wonderful was that feeling. It totally set me free, and I breathed effortlessly ever since. I am now three weeks after the surgery and with my 2nd doctor's office visit done yesterday. Some remaining blood residues/dried tissues were cleaned up. I already felt like 100% recovered. In all, my experience with Dr. Ho and his professionalism was great. Not sure why someone gave him lower ratings, but mine is a high 5. Highly recommend this physician.

I am writing this on behalf of my Mom who went to see Dr Margaret Carter.   She has been suffering…read morefrom a consistent earache for the past 2 weeks and was finally able to get a referral to see an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist.   We came in on time at 10:30am 4/26/24.  Upon arriving, we were asked by the front desk to fill up an 8 page form prior to seeing the doctor. Mind you, my mom is 74 years old and everything at this age just takes extra time.  We were expecting to be treated with empathy and consideration.   This was not the experience we had here at all. After a few minutes, the front desk receptionist told my mom to "Hurry up to finish completing the forms!"   This was already surprising because I didn't expect for them to treat my mom with such harshness.   It was then that  the medical assistant came out and rushed my mom to come inside the room with the forms not being completed at all. My mom told the receptionist that she was not done with the forms and her harried response to her was "You can finish them on the way out." The medical assistant then came and asked my mom to follow her into the exam room.   As my mom was going in the room, she abruptly yelled for my mom to  "take a seat."  Surprised at her obvious rudeness with my mom, my Dad then asked her "why are you so loud?" She responded with a harsh stare and no response at all.  When asked what her name was, she said "Mida" and did not bother to look up from what she was doing.    In my mind I was already thinking, is this how you treat 74 year old patients?  Unacceptable.   Mida took my mom's blood pressure and pulse rate. After taking her vital signs, she asked my mom to "Go to the scale" with the same demanding voice.  She didn't even bother to take off the pulse rate instrument including blood pressure cuffs.  My mom was a little dumbfounded at this point because usually the equipment is taken off first. Did Mida expect her to do this herself? My mom then asked her  "Do you want me to drag this pulse rate kit to step onto the scale?"   It was only then that Mida took the pulse rate kit off of my Mom.   When my mom actually go to see Dr Margaret Carter, it was only 4 minutes total.  Complete waste of our time and energy to only be treated like crap.  Hoping this review helps some of the rest of you if you ever need to choose an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist.  I'm writing this because no one deserves to be treated like this.   Especially my 74 year old parents.

I called them today June 11th, I called them hoping maybe they had a cancellation, and they told me that since they are no longer going to be taking my insurance as of July 21, they're not seeing any new patients with my insurance. Apparently, they knew this three months before July 21, but still let me make my first appointment, and they said they're only calling people a week before to let them know that their appointment is canceled. I just got lucky because I called earlier. So their plan was to just let me sit there until right before my damn appointment to let me know I had to look for a different ENT. They said they're too busy to let everyone know that scheduled. These people care so little about the well-being of their fellow humans that you sit there for months thinking you have an appointment and knowing that you're not actually going to get to have it. They don't care about your health issues or what's going to happen to you now that you have to go and look for an entirely new ENT and wait the four or five months it takes to get in. I need a procedure in order to fly for a very important medical appointment, that I now can't make because they were so careless as to not let me know my appointment was not happening. Please everyone steer clear of this place if I have to find a place out of network, because they didn't give me time to find another doctor, I will be bringing them to small claims court for whatever my out-of-pocket costs are.

Dr. Sajjadi's office is located near Good Samaritan Hospital on the second floor of a two story medical building. His office is located away from Samaritan Drive, but if you follow the signs for his address it will lead you there. My first visit with Dr. Sajjadi was the day after Christmas. I was surprised any medical office would be open that week. My visit was to find out more about some sinus problems I had been suffering from. I arrived about 15 minutes early to fill-out the required paperwork for first-timers. There were about 3 others waiting in the lobby. The doctor was running behind by about 10 minutes finishing up with another patient. Dr. Sajjadi is very personable, and after his diagnosis discussed possible treatment plans. He gave me some sample prescriptions to try and made another appointment for 30 days later. My second visit to Dr. Sajjadi's office it was completely different from the first. I arrived a couple of minutes early and the lobby was completely filled with patients waiting, probably 12 people (some parents there with kids). I checked in and found the last available seat in the corner. I started reading a magazine and could hear that other patients were still waiting and it was 30 minutes passed their schedule appointment. I was on my fourth magazine when I was finally called, just about 45 minutes after my appointment time. From there I sat in a exam room for another 15 minutes or so waiting. I don't mind the wait, as there can be unseen circumstances, but the receptionist should give patients an idea of how far behind they are running for the afternoon, so other engagements and commitments can be rescheduled or delayed. I have enjoyed Dr. Sajjadi's service and knowledge and believe he is a very good doctor. Hopefully, my next visit will be more on schedule.

I actually chose a couple of doctors before but ended up canceling both times. Finally, after more searching, I found Dr. Kristina Hobson in Los Gatos. To be honest, when I first walked into her office, I was already looking for an excuse to cancel again. But once I spoke with her, I was really impressed with her knowledge and the way she explained everything, so I decided to keep my appointment. Today was my procedure at Silicon Valley Surgery Center, and I had such a great experience. The facility was clean, calm, and very nice. Every single person I interacted with was wonderful. From the front desk to Barbara, who helped review my paperwork everyone was kind and welcoming. My first nurse, Kay, was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and professional. When she went on break, Nicole took over she was also amazing. I'm not a fan of needles at all, but she did my IV so gently and with so much care. Then Kat, the third nurse, took me to the procedure room she was kind, calm, and very professional. Dr. Michael Block, the anesthesiologist, was excellent. He actually texted me the night before to ask if I wanted to review everything ahead of time or on the day of the procedure, which I really appreciated. We exchanged a few messages, and then he spoke with me again before the procedure and explained everything clearly. He was confident, knowledgeable, and very reassuring. In the procedure room, I fell asleep within seconds and woke up quickly afterward feeling great. Within about 30 minutes, I felt completely fine. I was even able to take calls and respond to emails. And now, about Dr. Hobson ,she is truly a 10 out of 10. Honestly, the entire experience was 10 out of 10. From the office to the surgery center, every single nurse and staff member was exceptional. I'm a very detail-oriented and perfectionist person because of my job, so I don't say this lightly. Something I was so scared of and postponed for 5 years turned into such a smooth and positive experience. Thank you to everyone
