Went here for my birthday- as I love ice cream & my name is Katie Cute place- love the signs outside & inside was very cute & clean. The girl & guy working weren't overly friendly. Was in town having lunch and got a craving for a sweet treat after. Found Katie's Ice Cream and we popped on over. As you enter, the scrumptious smell of warm waffle cones being made hits ya. They offer many flavors along with dairy free options which is always appreciated. The staff is welcoming and encourages you to have a fun experience. If you're having difficulty deciding upon a particular flavor, ice cream samples are offered. I decided upon the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip in a kid's scoop size. It was everything I had hoped for. Creamy and packed with the advertised flavor. There's also a lovely, gated patio and playground out back. Unfortunately, the patio and it's seating is not dog friendly, but if the human kiddos are with you, definitely go check it out. Plenty of free parking as well. read more

Katie's ice cream is pretty good, but I was raised around dairy farms in Massachusetts, and it doesn't halfway measure up to ice cream there. Plus....it's outrageous to pay 8 bucks plus tax for a pint of ice cream. People are nice, and happy to let you know they are Christians. read more

Very easy to find in the early evening hours and has plenty of parking! Lots of room inside for a crowd and as good as this ice cream is, there should be some LONG lines! Lots of seating downstairs and and they have a pavilion for party/family/group reservations. The key is the flavor, creaminess and quality. For example: made with 14% Butterfat. Need I say more? We had vanilla, banana pudding, cappacino rum crunch, lavender honey, snickerdoodle. Done we're just tastings. I like that they use metal spoons for this and just wash. The lavender was pretty epic. Blew my mind. If it had been a warmer day that would have been my pick. All the flavors were good. Also had the coffee Oreo dairy free flavor made with coconut milk. I had an absolutely awful experience at Katie's Ice Cream, and honestly, I'm beyond disappointed. The two workers behind the counter were unbelievably rude and completely disrespectful. From the moment I walked in, neither of them made any effort to acknowledge me--no eye contact, no greeting, nothing. I politely asked to try a sample of a flavor, and they acted like I'd asked them to do something outrageous. They seemed visibly annoyed by my request, which was completely unnecessary. How am I supposed to know what something tastes like if I can't try it? It wasn't even busy--there was no one else in line--and yet they acted like my very presence was an inconvenience. If you're going to work in customer service, at least pretend to enjoy it or be decent to the people who are paying your salary. I honestly don't know why they even bothered to show up for work that day if they didn't want to be there. It's simple: if you don't want to engage with customers or do your job, maybe it's time to stay home. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, and I'd highly recommend you avoid this place unless you want to deal with rude staff who clearly have no interest in providing even basic customer service. read more

Just a darling little ice cream parlor! So much thought goes into everything from the decor to the flavors. You can try all the flavors you'd like and make it hard on yourself or you can go with the favorites and will never be disappointed. The ice cream is sooo smooth and creamy it's almost like gelato. I've heard a lot of things about this place but we've never had an issue! Icecream is great they allow you to try before you buy. Service is great there's always 2 or 3 people helping at the counter. For that reason I would highly would NOT recommend this business. Sometimes it's not about what you say but about HOW you say it sir. He is a very aggressive man and does not know the meaning behind customer service. I wouldn't even feel safe going back at this establishment because of how you conduct yourself. Your staff even seem afraid of you. You are unkind to your customers base and wanna call us liars. The ice cream was also very mediocre. I love sweets but I had to throw their ice cream away because it was overly sweet. Absolutely intolerable. There are plenty of other dessert shops in the area of Dickson. Was told we needed to have ice cream from here and was not disappointed. Located in old downtown Dixon it feels like your back in time but modern day. The girl serving was SO nice . There was no one in line when we started and she said I could try anything. I started w/chocolate Nutella OMG DELICIOUS then the chocolate raspberry. Ice cream is creamy and smooth and you can taste the freshness of the berries and high quality chocolate. There were so many choices. As I was checking out I saw a coconut one I said I will try next time. Because I planed to return the next day. She was excited said its one of her favorites and said I should try it, even w/ a line of 5 behind me she stopped and gave me a sample instead of rushing me to checkout. It was DELICIOUS we leave town today and are planning to swing by before so I can have ny coconut lol. The inside is pretty big for sitting and staying cool while eating your decadent dessert. They also sold fudge and I believe shakes but I was so mesmerized by all the flavors I didn't checkout the menu very well. The inside was spotless clean and I love that. They have a few places for photo ops inside a cute cow our friend loved and wing wall. I loved the atmosphere and for a little bit reminded me of the employees of chik fil a good people great service. The prices were VERY reasonable for three of us each getting 2 scoops it was $14 plus I gave her a $3 tip. Worth every penny for the quality and the service. Coming from So Cal that would of easily been over $20 back home. Thank you for a great experience. Side note they have a vending machine out side if you have a craving and they are closed. Line out the door, say no more!!! Loving food for more than 4 1/2 decades of existence has taught me to ignore critics and reviews and go where the crowds are. Katie's Ice Cream in Dickson is just the place. Upon first glance, you will find a CLEAN and tastefully decorated dining space. It's truly a wonderful mix of art and photography. The staff has a Disney/Chick Fil A level of quality friendliness. There are maybe 2-3 DOZEN flavors to challenge your decision making, including dairy free options!! Our threesome got 6 different flavors between us and still lusted for at least another 6 more. That just means we will have to return. One added AMAZING feature is the outdoor patio and playground. These people clearly want this to be a family destination. And one of the biggest surprises was the Frothy Monkey coffee. One of Nashville's best coffee options is right here in Dickson!! And you can even make it into a float by adding ice cream!!! A destination in downtown Dickson not to be missed. Can't wait to come back and try more delicious flavors. read more

I wish zero stars were an option. we had six people with us, I took our 4 year old to the bathroom as we went in as the rest of our group got in line. when we came out a man (turned out to be the owner named Tom), yelled across to us that bathrooms were for paying customers only. I said that is why we are here, and are going to order. he said, and I don't joke, next time use it after you buy. I ignored it and we got our ice cream. my daughters cone had a long blonde hait in it, she has curly brown hair, I brought it up to let them now and asked for a different flavor for her. he told me no, as it was her hair!!! what? he said no new ice cream no refund just leave or else.
