The chicken on my pasta was super tender and moist. The pasta in the dish seemed a little aged. On recommendation from our server we had the cheese curds. Highly recommend! It came with a dressing but I asked for some marina. We were almost done before it ever came. I wish I could have tried the fried pie dessert but I was too full.

We enjoyed a delicious buffet today at Montgomery State Park. Turkey, Ham, Catfish, and Chicken plus all the sides and 3 desserts! The staff was very busy with seating in groups to manage the length of the line at the buffet. Drinks were served promptly and refills were very prompt. Stocking the buffet was a challenge but they managed it very well. It is a lodge in a state park so there are a lot of interesting things to see. We had a window table looking out at the lake. Tips: Reserve your spot early by watching the state park website for the opening of the reservations. Be prepared to stand in line. It is Thanksgiving day so be thankful for: Someone else was up early cooking for you The cooks cared and prepared great amounts of good food The staff is doing their best on a holiday serving a packed dining room.

I always get the half order of catfish fillet, usually with a baked potato, and I have NEVER been disappointed. No joke, some of the best catfish I have had in my life! I was able to go last week while visiting, and tried the spicy catfish fillet for the first time. The breading was a little thicker than their regular fillet, but crisp and full of flavor without being overly spicy. The sides are served family style, which is dangerous for me, because I could easily take down a family's worth of creamy coleslaw, white beans with red pepper relish, and hushpuppies before my catfish even has an opportunity to get to the table. Those hushpuppies..... soooooo good! Nice and crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Large parking lot out front with the iconic Catfish statue alerting everyone that they got the right place for catfish. The interior is unassuming, and according to my dad, hasn't changed much in the last 50 years. It's clean though, and in my opinion, if you have a good thing going, then why change? The staff is super nice, and they take cash and card. Please NEVER change Catfish Kitchen!

Delicious Home Cooked Food!…read more We visited the Beacon Light Tea Room on a cold Saturday morning for breakfast, and I'm so glad we did! The staff greeted us warmly and the cozy restaurant makes you feel right at home. Their biscuits are small but tasty, especially when accompanied by their jams and gravies. I love their Sawmill gravy and I'd strongly recommend you add the hashbrown casserole to any breakfast you order. The coffee was fresh and my eggs were cooked perfectly. I look forward to returning!

Love the twisted break fireplace in the middle of the room when you walk inside. We were asked to sit anywhere we liked, greeted quickly and our food came quickly as well. A nice basket of biscuits came and we dove right in with the complimentary and delicious peach and strawberry preserves- both were so good. Our sausage and eggs came with choice of gravy and we bit went with sawmill, then out our sausage patties on the biscuits we still had and voila! Perfection! The staff were friendly and we enjoyed looking at the Bon Aqua and restaurant history via photos placed in the hallways . Very interesting. Men's and women's restrooms were clean, ample parking and a good all around stop!
