So I moved close by recently and fell in love with Golly G. If you're looking for an ice cream shop that delivers bold flavors without overwhelming sweetness, this is the place to be. Their ice cream is a refreshing departure from the overly sugary options found elsewhere, allowing the natural flavors to shine through beautifully. Every scoop is packed with rich, authentic taste, whether it's a deep, loaded, or cookie dough or a superhero that tastes like real fruit rather than artificial. The texture is smooth and velvety, making each bite incredibly satisfying without being heavy. While the ice cream alone is worth the trip, the cinnamon rolls are an absolute must-have. Freshly baked, perfectly soft, and with just the right amount of cinnamon spice, they pair beautifully with a scoop of ice cream. The balance of warm, buttery pastry with cool, flavorful ice cream is nothing short of heavenly. Tip each month they have a new cinnamon flavor! This shop proves that ice cream doesn't have to be overly sweet to be delicious. Whether you're a fan of classic flavors or adventurous combinations, you'll find something to love here. And whatever you do, don't leave without trying the cinnamon rolls! Shoutout to the staff they are always so nice and amazing! They don't judge me for coming there's one a week read more

Awesome banana split! It's so large two or three can share it. It's made the way a real banana split should be made. Yum!

Quaint place for ice cream that perfectly fits the small town vibe (though this area is definitely looking like it is growing). The staff was friendly and I enjoyed the ice cream. It has a pleasant vibe and was a nice place to kick back and enjoy their ice cream. read more

We love traveling the backroads! We found this lovely icecream shop in the way home from Nashville. Looks like it may have been an old gas station at one time. Now it's a local sweet shop! The service was quick. They were very busy and had three young staff members scooping up the icecream. My husband created a salted Carmel shake wirh Carmel sauce and loved it. I ordered my usual- a chocolate malt made with vanilla icecream and it didn't disappoint. They also service coffee and the huge cinnamon roll with butter cream icecream as their signature dish! It's worth getting off the highway to stop here! You can sit outside with your family on the picnic tables. They even have a drive through window read more

The flavors are so good and the milkshakes are to die for! You can't beat the service either

Probably the best ice cream I have ever had. So glad I found this place and that it's far enough away that I don't go get ice cream every night and ruin both my wallet and my figure. read more

Always a great scoop of ice cream and ice cream dishes. The pastries always look great as well. Prices are fair. The service is friendly. Note, as I mentioned in another restaurant review for Pleasant View, if you're COVID conscious and/or unvaccinated you may wish to stick to drive through or quickly grab your treats and hit the patio as there don't appear to be any restrictions in place (masks worn by staff or customers, distancing, etc.). read more

When I got home the cinnamon rolls we had bought on the home from Nashville were smaller than usual and not fluffy. They were not done. When we tasted them there was raw dough in the rings. read more

We just moved here from out of the city and are so excited to have a good, solid coffee option. The ice cream options were extensive, including dairy free, which we are! I also got the Chocolate Hershey cake and it was incredible! The cookies are awesome; we literally have nothing bad to say about our visit. Can't wait to experience this place during the summer! The sweetest staff ever and everything is delicious. There's even some gluten free options. Huge portions and great patio space

Stopped in with the family for ice cream. It was delicious and the place was very busy. Came back the next morning as we were pulling out of town for coffee and a pumpkin roll. Coffee was delicious. I drink it black and it was strong and delicious !! The roll was kind of disappointing. It tastes like a plain old cinnamon roll. Which was ok, but it was supposed to be pumpkin. You could see the pumpkin in the roll the toast just wasn't there. If I am ever back in town I would definitely swing by here again !! read more

This roadside rustic restaurant had a huge selection of fabulous ice cream, baked goods and a grilled bacon and pimento sandwich.

well it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and couldn't wait to get my coffee! however I don't typically go to golly Gs for coffee but I do for ice cream. they happened to be the only one open for coffee in my area on this stormy day. as I was greeted by the gentleman I was pleased with how kind he was and took my order. I proceeded to wait. then wait again. then shut my truck off because of how much I was waiting. Took 30 mins to get these. I then almost became discontent with the situation but I refrained and thought I was simply forgotten about. he came to the window and gave me my coffees and I had 2 little sips but yet so much still to be filled in the $6 12 oz. cup.. one might say I'm a half glass empty type of person, basked on this review, but I assure you I'm not. I can say I may be back here for ice cream but if you want coffee I'd recommend even Starbucks or even Chick-fil-A on a Sunday in this case. The coffee definitely tasted like it was made yesterday and thrown into the microwave. I then remember how long I waited and surely that isn't the case. So I ask what's really going on here? read more

All I can say is if you have a sweet tooth craving this is the place to stop. They offer muffins, cookies and cinnamon rolls. The ice cream and other treats are good but their prices have gone through the roof. A two-scoop cone and a chocolate malt, with tax, came to $18. That was, sadly, the last time we'll visit Golly G's. read more

This was worth the stop. It was just 3/4 mile of the interstate on the other road. A full buffet of ice cream choices. The new thing is an ice cream flight. Four different ice creams served in glass jars. It was plenty for the three of us to eat. The staff was friendly and quick to fill your order. They even offer a drive thru option. Great ice cream! Prices are too high though. The coffee is average, pastries are good.

Went through the drive thru and got an iced coffee, cinnamon roll, and sticky bun. The iced coffee was good. Got the cinnamon bun heated, definitely recommend getting it heated. The cinnamon roll was hIge and pretTy good. Wouldn't come back for a cinnamon roll ( hard to compete with my mom's homemade) but might try their I ice cream in future. Really cute place. read more

My app keeps telling me I have an unpublished review, but it's there! Ugh. Well, this is an update of sorts. Two days ago, I checked in and posted a review. Today is two days later, but yes, went back to the original Golly G's. This time, visited the inside which is nice because you can see all the ice cream tubs and colorful flavors. You can smell the yummy just baked goodness (or freshly brewed coffee depending on when you arrive). Also, I just like that you can pick and choose which (cute) sugar cookie designs you want. I didn't change the rating due to pricing. Wow! Be ready to shell out some dough for the cookie dough! I didn't have any coupons available this time as I had used them last visit. Ouch. You get what you pay for though! And, they do have a rewards program you can sign up for! Who doesn't like free stuff?! This stop is a nice halfway point between Franklin and Clarksville, so if you need a sweet treat or just a break from driving and don't want fast food - come here! read more

A goodly selection of ice cream from Mike's Ice Cream in Nashville. Delicious coffee by Bongo Java in Nashville. In-house made treats. I had the cannoli which was delicious. The staff is friendly and customer oriented. Two gender-neutral bathrooms even though it is a tiny place. Lots of parking even though it is a tiny place. Interstate travelers should make the extra effort because it's only a mile off the beaten path. read more

Cute little ice cream shop. Love that they make everything homemade. Baked goods looked delicious. Generous portions for the sizes. The ice cream was good, nothing spectacular, but a solid good! The staff was a bit awkward together - the young man was nice. They didn't have any butterscotch syrup for a sundae which I thought was odd for an ice cream parlor. read more
