We found this lovely ice cream shop traveling the backroads home from Nashville.

We love traveling the backroads! We found this lovely icecream shop in the way home from Nashville. Looks like it may have been an old gas station at one time. Now it's a local sweet shop! The service was quick. They were very busy and had three young staff members scooping up the icecream. My husband created a salted Carmel shake wirh Carmel sauce and loved it. I ordered my usual- a chocolate malt made with vanilla icecream and it didn't disappoint. They also service coffee and the huge cinnamon roll with butter cream icecream as their signature dish! It's worth getting off the highway to stop here! You can sit outside with your family on the picnic tables. They even have a drive through window

When I got home the cinnamon rolls we had bought on the home from Nashville were smaller than usual and not fluffy. They were not done. When we tasted them there was raw dough in the rings.

Found this treasure by chance on our way out of Nashville. The ice cream (we had fresh peach, strawberry, Tennessee fudge, 3x brownie, and sweet cream) was fresh and delicious. The servings were generous. Definitely worth a stop!

We just moved here from out of the city and are so excited to have a good, solid coffee option. The ice cream options were extensive, including dairy free, which we are! I also got the Chocolate Hershey cake and it was incredible! The cookies are awesome; we literally have nothing bad to say about our visit. Can't wait to experience this place during the summer! They have a great patio.

well it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and couldn't wait to get my coffee! however I don't typically go to golly Gs for coffee but I do for ice cream. they happened to be the only one open for coffee in my area on this stormy day. as I was greeted by the gentleman I was pleased with how kind he was and took my order. I proceeded to wait. then wait again. then shut my truck off because of how much I was waiting. Took 30 mins to get these. I then almost became discontent with the situation but I refrained and thought I was simply forgotten about. he came to the window and gave me my coffees and I had 2 little sips but yet so much still to be filled in the $6 12 oz. cup.. one might say I'm a half glass empty type of person, basked on this review, but I assure you I'm not. I can say I may be back here for ice cream but if you want coffee I'd recommend even Starbucks or even Chick-fil-A on a Sunday in this case. The coffee definitely tasted like it was made yesterday and thrown into the microwave. I then remember how long I waited and surely that isn't the case. So I ask what's really going on here?

This place is a frequent meeting spot for me and my best friend since we live so far away form each other. I love they're coffees and baked goods. Cuban is my fav classic coffee, and they're holiday coffees are yummy also. My daughter always gets a seasonal cookie when we go. We love this little shop. It's worth a visit. read more

Love Golly G's!! We have been coming since they opened and even more now that we live in the area! We have never been disappointed by their amazing flavors! Banana pudding and Oreo speedwagon are easily our favorites although you can never go wrong! Just wish they were able to expand their parking area! Definitely a sweet treat! My family and I were traveling to St. Louis and needed to stop but didn't want the usual gas station pit stop. My husband spotted Golly G's sign on the interstate and decided this would be our stop. What a delight! It is such an adorable place! We enjoyed delicious ice cream and my husband's Cuban was perfection! The employees were friendly and accommodating. We loved this find!! :) read more

I was in Pleasant View showing properties one evening in the summer and came across this adorable place. The parking lot was full and people were everywhere. I stopped in to take a few shots for my out of town clients and everyone there were just having the best time!i didn't have any but I hear the ice cream is delicious and from what I can tell it must be! This place has a good variety of ice cream and other sweets. They get this stuff delivered, so it is not the absolute freshest, but still very good. The atmosphere and service is really good. They even gave my child another ice cream for free when she dropped hers. The parking and traffic flow is a little wonky here. Advice: go during off hours to make sure you can get out of the parking lot. Avoid Sundays after church. read more

We loved this shop. The dairy free chocolate chocolate chip ice cream was wonderful and generous. The Golly G specialty was a massive cinnamon roll topped with ice cream and caramel sauce. Very tasty. Shop is clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very nice place to take a break from our road trip. read more

Went to this location with a friend who was wearing a Trump TShirt. The staff was rude and asked my friend to leave. If the president of the United States shirt is unwelcome, I don't need to give you my money. No time for that. Plenty of places to eat ice cream, this won't be one of them. Upon our arrival, Darcy and I were informed that the supply of pastries was nearly exhausted: a circumstance I bore with easy composure, as we intended only for coffee. Yet thereafter, I regret to say, the experience fell somewhat short. My cappuccino was deficient in froth and served with less warmth than one might wish, rendering it rather uninspiring. The interior, though neat, is so spare and restrained in its decoration as to verge upon the austere, and lacks that ease and comfort which invite one to linger. It is not, I think, among the more hospitable establishments we have encountered in Nashville. Though I would not hesitate to return for their baked offerings, I cannot suppose it would become a favored place for repose or refreshment.

Absolutely love this place! Is a twenty minute drive too far for ice cream? Not if it is Golly G's! The staff are always warm and inviting... and very generous with their samples (although Cake Batter is my regular choice). The ice cream is Mike's Ice Cream and delicious! The location makes it really convenient whether you are going to or driving back from Nashville. I highly recommend giving this place a try. read more

This is a wonderful place for coffee, ice cream, and sweets. The food is delicious, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. They were out of waffle cones, so they offered to make one fresh for me. To help the cone cool down faster the guy help it up to the air conditioner! I had a great experience. 10/5 read more

My son owns this great little place and it is the bomb! From the in house made bake goods to the fabulous ice cream and the coffee was so good my husband and I have bought a grinder and now purchase our coffee beans from GollyG's. You never know who you might see there! Come on By!!! read more

I love this place and so does everyone I know! The ice cream is amazing.. sooooooo many good flavors. Blueberry cheesecake is my #1. Not to mention their giant cinnamon rolls and little pies! Everything they have is delicious and the staff is really friendly!!! read more
