My husband and I wanted to include our two Australian Shepherds in our wedding day and to do that we decided to have them be a part of our photos in between the ceremony and the reception. We decided to reach out to KK's about having someone watch our dogs for the weekend and then transport them safely to wherever we needed. Rachael ended up being the person who watched our two dogs and she was FABULOUS!!! She set up a meet and greet with us a month before the wedding so that our dogs could meet her in our home where they felt safe. She was immediately so warm, kind and all about our two dogs!! They LOVED her! The weekend of our wedding, she came to our home to pick them up at our designated time while we were at the rehearsal dinner and she sent us photos of them safely at her house where they were playing and having so much fun. The day of the wedding she communicated with us about her whereabouts and even arrived super early to the destination- so prompt and punctual. We actually ended up moving locations for photos due to high wind/weather and she was super accommodating and never once made us feel bad about having to move where she was already parked. She had the dogs dressed in their wedding attire and kept them super safe and secure while we were taking photos. It's a tall task to ask of someone when dogs get really over stimulated as they were pulling a lot and she handled it with pure grace!! She dropped them off on Sunday after we were able to make it home and the dogs were tuckered out from her keeping them busy- she even took them to get ice cream after photos because they did such a good job. I honestly cannot recommend this company and Rachael enough!!!! This was the best decision we could have made and Rachael made us feel so comfortable with the entire weekend, we were never once worried about our precious kiddos. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE!! They sent Sarah W. over to our house for the agreed upon 1 hour play session. Her job was to let our dogs out of their crates and take them to our back yard and play fetch with them so that they would get some exercise while my wife and I were at work. Since our dogs love to play fetch, it made it very easy to work with them. All she had to do is stand in the backyard and toss their favorite toy and they would retrieve it and bring it back to her, sitting it down at her feet as they have been trained to do. At the end of the play session, she was instructed to return them to their crates, place food in their bowl in the crate and give them the Kong treat that my wife had made up for them to chew on until we got home from work. When we returned home that night, our dogs were exceptionally hyper like they hadn't played at all that date. Sarah had sent my wife a text message earlier that day stating that our dogs "did not really want to play" with her when she came over. We knew this sounded odd because they always love to play and will run until they drop. So we reviewed our Blink cameras that we have placed throughout our house, both inside and out, and found Sarah sitting on our couch the entire time playing on her phone and ignoring our dogs. She didn't even give them their Kong treats. My wife also noted that Sarah had gone around our home and taken photos and selfies of our home décor and Halloween decorations and posted them on social media. This is an invasion of our privacy and a violation of the agreement that we had with Katie's Kennels. When my wife contacted Katie's Kennels to complain about this incident, all she received was an apology and was reassured that the situation would be dealt with, however, Sarah still works for the company despite numerous complaints. At my urging, we canceled the remaining sessions that we had scheduled with Katie's Kennels but were still charged for services that we canceled far in advance and it took several phone calls, emails and text messages to have our card refunded. This company employs workers that are more concerned with their Facebook profile than the pets they are paid to care for. They send individuals into your home that can't seem to follow the simplest of instructions or even care if your pet is properly cared for. They make sure that they collect their money, whether or not they render services. There are much better dog walking services out there and we have thankfully found a new one. read more

Katie's Kennel is the ONLY place we trust with our German Shepherd mix while we are out of town. We deal with some separation anxiety but Katie and team make our dog feel at home. We get multiple daily updates. Katie and team also walk a few of our friends' dogs who are on the stronger side and are able to take them on nice long strolls, which is just what they are yearning for. Train your employees better (Megan Scott). Especially when specific instructions and notes are left. No need to disregard any information owners have left simply because you have no inclination to do your job. Recently, a family member of mine left town with her roommates and hired Katie's Kennel. All three pups had noticeable surface injuries. One had her ear somewhat severed. The other two had obvious scratch marks. Furthermore, upon the return home, there were many spots of feces and urine throughout the house along with all three kennels. The three pups had to be bathed as soon as the owners returned home due to them residing in their own excrement. Also, there was what looked to be blood left on the wall that had not been there beforehand. All of the above indicates neglect and refusal to do the tasks laid out before the employee. These people trust you and your employees with the lives of their family members. Please do better. read more
