I just finished my six month work with Dr. Melody, and I can say without hesitation that she…read morechanged my life. When I first came to her, I was dealing with an overwhelming mix of issues--SIBO, extreme candida, leaky gut, and parasites. My body was a mess, and I felt lost and discouraged. Dr. Melody guided me through every step with clarity, patience, and real expertise. She didn't just hand me supplements and push me out the door--she actually helped me heal. She listened, she educated me, and she supported me through every stage of my recovery. My stomach, my energy, my whole system feels like it finally belongs to me again. I'm grateful for her professionalism, her compassion, and the way she treated me as a whole person. If you're struggling with complicated gut issues and you're ready to actually get better, Dr. Melody is the one you want in your corner.

My body thanks me everyday since working with Dr. Wong. I…read morehad felt from various symptoms that my digestion was not good for a long time. Then, after one painful bloating incident, where others eating the same food had no issues, I decided to seek advice from Dr. Wong. From the beginning, Dr. Wong quickly educated me about her approach, how we would learn more about my situation, and how she proposed to treat my situation. Dr. Wong listened to me about my goals for myself, and we discussed a plan to which I was willing to commit. Within a few weeks of starting treatment, digestive changes were noticeable, and maybe I was also lucky that in a few months, my digestion became stable with regular healthy stool output. Through those observable improvements, I am certain Dr. Wong's treatments and advice, including a much reduced appreciation of wine, has resulted in distinctly improved digestion. As mentioned at the top, my body feels like it is internally working much better than before.

I liked him immediately upon meeting him. Dr. Ellison and his staff are extremely professional and hold themselves to what they promise. He worked around my schedule and personal commitments to ensure I was taken care of. I also appreciate how the doctor himself personally returns phone calls and sees through everything. He also does things pretty much immediately when he says he will, which is very in line with my personality and earns him great respect in my eyes. I felt very at ease with him and trusted his opinion. How he keeps track of all his patients and everything going on is astounding. I also think the man works day and night. I accidentally called his direct line once late night, and thought I hung up before it rang. However, he called both myself and my partner a few hours later a bit past midnight because he was concerned something had gone wrong. You're in good hands if you're fortunate enough to get an appointment with Dr. Ellison!

He is held in the highest esteem by his peers at MPH and is the ENT doctor that most of us want to go to for our care. I basically diagnosed myself often or told him what I needed, because I too work in healthcare. He, as many others have stated cared more about his pockets being filled than the improvement or well-being of his patients. My disease progressed further and I now have permanent damage. It's disheartening because the nurses and other in my medical group fought for more in depth & conducive care. He's dismissive, attempts to be condescending. I usually didn't go for that. I don't recommend an animal to this man.

Bottom line is his incompetence, neglect and quite frankly, criminal behavior, has resulted in our elderly Aunt in the hospital! She has been in there for over a week now and sadly may have irreversible effects due to Dr. Michael Kwok Chan misdiagnocing and refusing to treat her for simple UTI's. In my opinion, it is all due to the fact that 'I' asked for a urine Analysis (twice). Ive worked with seniors professionally and personally for upwards of 20 years and it is well known that when an elderly person suddenly becomes confused, the FIRST thing any and all Doctors will test for is a simple UTI (Urinary tract infection) that can often be simply treated with antibiotics. On TWO occasions we were told the UA's were negative for UTI's. The first one on April 24,2018 we were told that the UA (Urine Analysis) was negative and that she did NOT have a UTI. We have now learned that the test was actually Positive and was inadvertently treated by antibiotics she was taking for a non related infection! Then in mid May we noticed, again, that she was very confused and was becoming weak. On May 24th, after not getting any response from his office, I brought a sample down to the lab and finally got them to order a UA. For 5 days we called for results and were told they hadn't come in yet. PLEASE NOTE: IT TAKES 3-5 HOURS TYPICALLY FOR UA RESULTS AND 3-5 DAYS FOR THE CULTURE. Finally on day 7, she was getting so weak and confused I brought her in to him and he was horrible!!! He told me the results of the UA were negative, didn't get the culture yet and to stop asking for UA's. At one point he was yelling at me saying "Get it out of your mind, UTI does NOT cause confusion". I stopped talking as his outburst was upsetting my Aunt. She then asked if she could have physical therapy, his response was " I think that's out of the question, You are not going to be of all to stand up again or walk, it's just what happens when people get older," She was standing with assistance and walking with a Walker The day before this appointment. After this appointment when I realized he was out of his mind I finally got into her "my health online" And saw not only is that the UA and culture were back on day 1 and 2 Got they clearly showed in section! I brought her into the hospital immediately and the ER doctors 1st response after looking at her tasks asked when did you finish her antibiotics. She was shocked when I told her that her doctor said my Aunt did not have an infection or UTI and the comment about the confusion... She was speechless. At one point the Hospital Kidney specialist told her how unfortunate it was that she was in there for a simple UTI that went untreated and was now close to Sepsis. I have reported him to the California Medical Board and encourage anyone and everyone to do so as well if you feel he has not treated you competently!
