I liked Dr Chow for his thorough examinations and good referrals when necessary. So I applied in person to be reestablished as a patient in late Jan 2026. I was informed I would be placed on a waiting list and if any cancellations came up I would be called. After a month its already March and I hadn't heard anything so I decided to drop in and see what a future appointment could be. I was shocked when I heard June or July. The receptionist took down a list and said no appointments available. I felt like I wasn't even being followed up, just some scribble on a sheet of paper. I leave it to you to decide if you were in this situation, would you have looked elsewhere for another PCP? I should have. Live and learn!

I learned that they had disenrolled my dad as he missed appointments by mailing him 2 letters and per my mother they have not received. Besides that there should really be an effort in outreach to the patient/family when this occurs as the office staff did not mention specifically about this to me when I called except that he had missed appointments, but they don't care to learn the reason behind it. Our dad does not have a lot of medical issues but he is 92 and less mobile and cannot walk independently, mostly wheelchair bound. They gave me a number to a provider without a referral - did they not know this was required. I was under the assumption the referral was for a new PCP who provided some kind of home visits. When I called new MD they required a referral as it was palliative care and they don't provide primary care services. Called back Dr Chow's office staff to ask for a referral but they said they could not doing anything as he's disenrolled...then why even bother giving me the name of a new provider. Useless assistance. Anyway this has helped to get this off my chest. At least this situation has given me a solution as I needed to quickly think of what to do next since this office was no longer helpful in his care. FYI, I wish I could report your office regarding poor patient care experience but you're lucky outpatient settings are not surveyable by the state which shouldn't give you the pass to be so dismissive and not helpful.

He has helped me through just about every test known to demand to try and figure out why I hurt so bad. I went to seemingly every kind of doctor, including Stanford Pain Clinic, but still the pain kept coming back and ruined my quality of life. Finally I found Dr. Perry and went to see him. He examined me and we talked for a long time. I was impressed by how much he cared and listened. Dr. Perry gave me some medication that immediately got the pain under control. In subsequent visits, he monitored my progress and suggested various ways to avoid aggravating my condition. After a while, I was able to go on a small dose of a maintenance medication, and live my life generally pain-free. I am so grateful to Dr. Perry for showing me a way out of the terrible pain I used to suffer from every day. From time to time Dr. Perry has seminars about pain control. These are really useful. Also he recommends other therapies that can be used to help heal old injuries and reduce the amount of medication required to get a good result. If you are hurting, do yourself a favor and make an appointment with Dr Perry!

Dr. Reddy is a stand out great internal medicine doctor…read more In addition, Dr. Reddy is proactive about her patients' health--she reviewed my full physical with me and provided lots of information about my health and bloodwork, and explained recommendations for going from good health to excellent. When I have a cold or flu, I never have a problem getting a fast appointment (even the same day), yet I never feel like I'm being rushed out the door when I'm there. One thing that always makes me hesitate is how germy doctors' offices can be, but the front desk takes extra precautions with possibly contagious patients in waiting areas, including providing masks, tissues, and hand sanitizer for people who have coughs or fevers. Dr. Reddy is knowledgeable about certain more holistic approaches to resolving health issues than most doctors who just push prescriptions. She has been the long-time doctor of my father who also feels she is an excellent doctor for our whole family. To all the complaints about the front desk, I understand it's a bit difficult at times but the complaints are not fair. This practice has an online system for making and cancelling appointments which is far better than trying to call in to a staff dealing with incredible high volume. I don't even use the online system, and I've never had a problem cancelling an appointment. As a business owner who also receives a high volume of calls - you just have to stay on hold or call back later. By not giving Internal Medicine Associates a chance, you're really missing out on a great doctor/patient relationship you might have with a wonderful doctor like Reddy. She's helped my dad out so much and over time through proactive health changes, my dad has reduced his prescription medicine intake dramatically with her coaching. I've had to because of employer reasons switch back to Kaiser and also due to moving to the South Bay, San Mateo is not very convenient when I have a Kaiser clinic in walking distance from my home. I've switched doctors and I think I've been very lucky in my life to have several good doctors including Reddy on my side. Give them a shot!
