She had checked the records and confirmed that my description of the events was indeed correct. She repeatedly and sincerely apologized for the mistake. She promised that she would contact the collector agency to fix the mess. A few weeks later, I got a letter from the collection agency that they have been contacted by the Dentist's office and they are going to withdraw the report against me. My credit score, which took a hit because of their report, is now back to where it was before! I appreciate the quick response from the new management at the Dentist's office and have decided to change my initial rating based on that positive experience.

He doesn't listen to concerns and he certainly doesn't try his best to solve problems. Dr. Ramsay completely dismissed my concerns about pain following a filling that he placed in my molar. After consulting another dentist for a second opinion, it was determined that I needed a root canal. If you're looking for a dentist in Champaign, I recommend Anderson Dental.

I called 3-4 other places with no luck and was recommended to Sensenbrenner Family Dental. They got me in right away. They were incredibly friendly and thorough. The hygienist was so nice. I saw Will Sensenbrenner who determined that it wasn't my tooth but that I likely had a sinus infection and gave me antibiotics for it. He was so thorough and explained everything to me clearly and did not seem rushed at all. He followed up with a personal phone call a week later to check on how I was doing. From my experience, I would say this is a fantastic, thorough, and friendly family dental practice.

Caring Family Dental engaged in deceptive practices to convince me to agree to treatment plans,…read morethen turned around and sent me a bill for nearly 4 times what they originally quoted. In their office, they issued extensive verbal assurances about the pricing and they made it seem like they had confirmed everything with insurance, but it turned out that they hadn't done any due diligence at all. They were basically just making up the numbers and telling me they were certain. I paid them everything they quoted me that day, and my insurance paid them too, but 5 weeks later they're demanding hundreds more. No amount of reasoning with them resulted in any progress, and of course they're threatening to send their bloated bill to collections. Apparently, the "Caring Family Dental" name doesn't mean much to them. They're just another version of the corporate dental business that tries to always pile more on. At this point, I would NEVER trust any treatment plan quote they issue, as I know now that they'll just radically alter the numbers afterwards. Even if they tell you with certainty what the numbers will be, I now know that means nothing. I eventually filed a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General and we'll see where that goes, but man, what a huge hassle. I wish more businesses would actually read and abide by Illinois' deceptive practices laws.

I have never had a bad experience with the Dr. or her staff, but have found them to be caring and considerate of my comfort in the office. They have always ben clear about information that they needed from me, and have worked with my insurance very patiently (probably too patiently for their own good - coughcoughDeltaDentalcoughcough). I am VERY pleased with the care I have received there and would certainly recommend them.

If you're looking for a dental office with TVs to watch while getting your teeth cleaned, this is not it; if you're looking for a super thorough dental exam in a friendly environment then this is your spot. Scheduling is flexible as they're open a bit later on weekdays and on Saturdays as well. The hygienist I had was terrific, Kathy herself was in and out of the appointment but gave me advice and information for a longstanding teeth/jaw issue that I'd never heard of before. I'm not originally from the area so finding a trustworthy dentist who cared about me as a patient but also wasn't going to suggest unnecessary and costly fixes was important, and I've definitely found that! A great little family owned practice in Champaign!

She recommended an extraction that another dentist said may not be necessary. Add to this that the assistant didn't appear to be trained and had to be instructed by the dentist on every procedure, it was not a good experience. My mother will never go back, and I cancelled my appointment. Spend your money elsewhere.

I'm surprised not to see any reviews for this dental office given how long they have been in the…read moreregion! Disclaimer: This review is for before Dr. Hans took over the practice, since I moved out of state. Hans Family Dental is the new name for Dr. Broadbent's practice (who has since retired). I give them 5 starts for the super friendly staff and exceptional, high-quality service they provide. I had used them for around 8 years for cleaning and a wisdom tooth extraction. My dental hygienist was Jamie. Her cleaning and checkup is great: she takes the time to remove all plaque through a detailed and *gentle* scraping, brushing, then flossing. She inspects it again and then scrapes again if necessary. I would almost fall asleep during my visits. The office has modern equipment, unlike some other places I've been in the past. Their bitewing x-rays are digital, so they get an instant x-ray picture on a computer monitor in front of you and the dental hygienist. The front desk staff really cares for their patients and here's a story to prove it: One time, I was in the emergency room and ran into Sue. We chatted for a bit and went our ways. A few days later, I got a get well card in the mail with a hand written note wishing me a quick recovery! It's rare to find businesses with staff like this one! They're quite busy, so you have to book in advance. Best of luck to Dr. Hans and the office.

If there is a time crunch or time off from work, make that clear. They can estimate times but some times things take longer to do be done properly. Staff is caring and methodical and willing and able to explain procedures and insurance issues, when asked. Knowing how much you have left for the year with insurance is important in scheduling. Knowing payment option time lines, without insurance crucial. Dr. Hans is articulate. She takes the time to explore various options, even ones she does not offer! Her website provides a base to ask better questions as does the Dr. Siebert -(Suliman) periodontists website (gumdocs.com.) This is an important to decisions that not thought through can leave you toothless, temporarily toothless, or cost more in the long run. For example: If teeth are shifting, will retainers work until a more expensive option can be afforded? A retainer that masks a missing tooth a better option if that is a possibility? The patient must prepare for the appointment, to get the best service and they provide those tools.
