I have been struggling with allergies for 17 years. My symptoms are severe hives, swelling, runny nose, congestion, eczema, ear infections and headaches from congestion, and red, itchy skin. I have tried every over the counter medication. I have seen two different allergists and had two different sets of allergy tests done. All were inconclusive. No one could figure out what was wrong with me. I had come to the conclusion that I would live the rest of my life miserable, or be confined to a bubble. Then, I decided to give allergists one last shot, and I found Dr. Nelson. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field. My mother was also impressed with her knowledge in the medical field and explanations. She speaks to you clearly and makes it comprehensible for those of us not trained in medicine. She also covers every possibility. She does not leave anything important out. After today, I realize my previous allergist weren't as thorough as her, which is why I have suffered for 17 years. They also only did the minimal in their work, failing to go through all the options to find some relief for me. She got down to the root of the problem and identified some of my allergens. She was also honest in explaining that the allergens we found did not explain everything, so there is more work to be done. Right now, I would not trust anyone else to do that work. She also told me all my options for testing and treatment with regard to my situation (i.e. occupation, lifestyle, environment, and practicality.), not just to get money or appease me. To be honest, I have not had a doctor's visit more productive or enlightening ever. I now have hope for a new way of living that doesn't include all of the allergy symptoms that have made me miserable. Apart from Dr. Nelson's exceptional knowledge and work, she is very kind and compassionate. You will not find a hint of condescension in her voice, attitude, or behavior. If anyone is suffering from allergies, I would recommend them to go to Dr. Nelson. You have many choices out there, but I wouldn't waste your time or money, when one of the best options is right here. I was so impressed with this doctor that I decided to start a yelp profile, just to review her. There are too many poor quality doctors out there (believe me my family and myself have been to several) and people deserve to know about the great quality doctors. No one should feel they have to be content with less than adequate healthcare. Health is far too important for anything less than the best. Although this is my first yelp review, and I am glad that I get to review my positive experience with Dr. Nelson.

We rushed to ER and was given incredibly high dose of steroid to take it under control. But as soon as we cut the steroid down it flared up again. We were referred to Dr Anlin Xu by our pediatrician and Dr. Xu successfully helped my son taper down the steroid to zero and he's finally back to normal again. :) Dr. Xu is very knowledgeable and super patient; she spent a lot of time educating and explaining to the parents how to handle situation if it were happened again and set right expectation. He brought up wanting to prescribe Dupixent, mentioning he's one of their biggest prescribers. That made me question whose interests the recommendation served. He was also rude to his staff in front of me, which was very uncomfortable. Most concerning, he showed me another patient's CT scan *with their personal information still visible*. That is a serious privacy issue, and I'd be horrified if it were my information he was showing to other patients. The office staff were very kind for the most part, and though I didn't have any billing issues like other reviewers, I won't be coming back. This doctor's ego was a dealbreaker.

I came to see Dr Kellogg, who has been working in this field for over 20 years. He is retired US Navy and has so much life experience to impart. What I really love about Dr Kellogg was that he treated my case with the utmost attention and care. We've all been to those doctor appointments where it's abundantly clear that they need to get you in and out (cough Kaiser cough). Dr Kellogg is the polar opposite. He spent hours explaining all of my symptoms, allergies, and treatment methods, I mean honestly there was so much detail I felt like I had sat through a college lecture, but not in a bad way. I have seen that when doctors don't have answers, it is easier for them to either blow it off or throw out some blanket diagnosis, without doing the hard work to get an answer.
