I was there at roughly 11 am on Tuesday, March 15, 2025. the problem involves a man and a woman, both of color and in late 20s or early 30s. This info is given just in case the manager of the garden center would like to start doing his/her job. I was loading 1.5 cu ft bags of soil into my cart when I noticed a skid 30 ft away. I rolled my cart less than 10 feet past the two employees described above who were leaning against shelving casually engaged in conversation. I had passed within just 3-4 feet of them. I started to unload the 4 bags from the cart onto the skid. When I looked up hoping that the guy would offer some help, I saw that he had turned his back to a 74 year old customer who was visibly huffing and puffing as he continued his conversation. That done, I went back to the soil location and added another 2 bags to the skid. After leaving the check-out I approached a managerial-looking woman who said that she was the front of store manager. I told her about it and she walked away and said nothing. So now I went out to my suv and loaded the 6 bags of soil into it. I drove to the outside of the garden center and stopped the car. That same guy was in a different location but within my view again leaning against shelving and casually chatting to someone (I couldn't see if it was the same woman).

This is one giant warehouse where you can find any and everything. The items in need usually is here all except for enough tile where I had to turn to another store that specialized in just tile. Not to worry, because the door, paint, hardware and other odds and ends were in stock. Ordering online was easy and so was the pickup using your coded sheet sent to you when your order is ready for pickup. I've only had a few hiccups when trying to locate my items, but going to the service desk saved the day. My new Larson Door, with Schlage Hardware and kitchen flush mound light is perfect!

I didn't want to pay the $$$ get the dealer replacement. I'd been to other hardware stores that had the right width of screw, but way too long. Anyway, I decided to give this store a try. I walked in and the person at the counter asked if I needed help. I told him what I was looking for. He directed me to the correct aisle, which end, and which side of the aisle. When I got there, there was already another employee there helping someone else. After he finished with the other customer, he asked if I needed help. I showed him my key fob and went to work to find something that would fit. Eventually, he found one and even screwed it in for me, which was great because I definitely don't have a hex wrench small enough for that screw. In the end, my bill was 99 cents plus tax. What a great deal, and great customer service!

After contacting the company by mail twice phone twice and a meeting they decided to take there subcontractors word over ours. we basically are now stuck with a roof that has costed us approximately $23,000. more than it should have. There was never any agreement signed or documentation that showed we agreed with the design. It ended up being a he said she said and of course Beisser sided with there sub contractor who designed the trusses. There Customer Service was terrible and at no time would they admit they were at any fault. it made us feel like They could care less about the customer and was a waste to even discuss anything because there sub contractor Dick came up with false excuses for everything to save his butt. I would never refer this company to anyone!!

Now the surface has worn off in area's and it cannot be re-finished. It also has a warranty, so we tried to proceed with warranty. We have been asked the same questions (How did we clean/How Often) 2 different times, several weeks apart. We still have no resolve on the issue and likely never will. I am very disappointed in the service I received Gilcrest and also the supplier on this issue. They should not have or offer a warranty on their product with no intention to honor it. To make matters worse, we were told the flooring could be re-finished when purchased. I would not recommend using Paramount Flooring of any type and make sure you research whatever information you gather.

So I get around back and he has 3 guys come out and refuse to accept it. They also surrounded me and acted in an implied threatening manner. When I asked about just tossing it in the junk they threatened to call the cops on me. I do NOT recommend buying anything from this place. There are better places to donate to as well. When I finally was so frustrated with the home improvement stores, I walked into the Woodsmith Store and they knew immediately what I needed. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and actually seem to be woodworkers, not just clerks wandering aimlessly. They offered me to come back and pay, I was afraid i would forget. I shopped instead. I knew I probably needed more items. When I checked out, the woman asked me if I was going to put the phone holder on my bike now. I said yes, so she followed me out with a screw driver. The screw was too short, so she went in and got a bigger one for me. You don't get service like this anymore.
